Chicken or Veal Saltimbocca
crispy prosciutto, basil, sage, white wine sauce, parmesan risotto
Chicken or Veal Piccata
pan seared, artichoke, garlic, white wine, capers, tomato, parmesan risotto
house-made chicken cutlets, marinara, pasta, Italian cheese
Excellent food and great service! The timing of everything was perfect! All 6 of us had a very nice evening.
Fresh salads. Veal Picatta was missing ingredients but the tender veal made up for it. Cappuccino was cold and the milk tasted like the refrigerator. Still a solid restaurant but not quite 5 stars.
We were very pleased with our first time and will definitely go back when in town. Our waiter, Elijah, was wonderful!
We’ve been coming to the restaurant for 8 years, as we’ve attended the Brimfield antique festival. Service and food had always been great - this year, they was so-so. Waitress never cleared plates between courses until we handed her the plates, didn’t return to ask about how our meals were, and our chicken saltimbocca was not prepared correctly. Our companions enjoyed their meals and desserts.
It is a very good restaurant food and service were good, I definitely recommend it.
Our server Elijah was excellent! Food was wonderful. Hostesses not very personable, but perhaps need some training. All in all, great night out.
Our server Sarah was wonderful. The manager Jen and hostess Olivia were very helpful with our reservation and signing up for reward points. We had a very nice dinner.
Delicious food and service was great, we were not rushed and enjoyed our meal
Great food, nice service. A good place for a nice meal!
Food was excellent! Mother and husband had chicken parm, I had short rib special. Desserts were great too! Looking forward to going back!
Traveling and have always enjoyed this restaurant . Highly recommend.
Avellino’s is a frequent dinner spot when we go up to our lake house… Great food and Great Service
Food was excellent, drinks were amazing! We will be back
We had a very nice ,quite dinner experience. The service was excellent, and the food and drink were as well.
Wonderful food and an excellent waitress Sarah
My partner and I ordered the Bolognese and Short Ribs with Papardelle. Both dishes were amazing. The food is always consistent here and the service is 5 star.
The only issue we had was the kitchen was unusually slow in getting our entrees out. The staff is well trained and the food outstanding.
We are very disappointed with Avellino staff tonight! We had 6:45pm reservations for outside noted on our Open Table reservation as my friend is immuno-compromised. It was to celebrate a special moment. I responded to confirm the reservation yesterday. At no time did I receive a phone call or email that Avellino couldn’t not seat us outside.
We arrived on time informed by the manager that they’re short staffed and not seating anyone outside. No sorry - nothing after telling her about my friend being immune compromised as she just had a kidney transplant. She said we’ll go see if the bartender will wait on you outside, but she said no immediately.
We had no other options. We saw driving along that Cedar Street Grill was serving outside. I feel the manager should have considered other options maybe see if Cedar Street Grill could take us or allow us to sit outside and come in for drinks, but none offered.
We ended up asking if we could sit over in far left corner of dining room, which the hostess allowed. We ate fast, food was good. However, originally when the waiter came over, I did show him a 50% off an entree coupon that Avellino’s restaurant group Table 3 emailed, but immediately said how he believed coupon not allowed on weekends. Nowhere on the coupon did t state not allowed on weekends. He never deducted it from the bill. Shame on him!
Although food again was good, it will probably be a very long time if ever again before considering returning and we frequent Duck! We spend over $100 and usually do at Duck.
So very disappointing and not customer friendly!
This was our second visit to Avellino. Love the ambiance of the restaurant but my dish, veal saltimboca, was extremely salty. I ate every last bite and enjoyed it in spite of too much salt.My husband ordered veal piccata and requested pasta instead of rice. There was no sauce of any type on the pasta but was furnished upon request. The brownie stuffed with chocolate was delicious and the wine was very good.
It was rather cold in the dining room and I was wishing I had brought a sweater- next time.
Outstanding good but just got salad and meal came out
Very nice restaurant. Great service. Eve was very pleasant.
The pan seared maple scallops were the absolute best! Parmesan Risotto was like my grandmothers. Plenty of parking. Very quaint. We always sit towards the front of the restaurant at the table for two close to the window. My favorite spot.
Best Veal I have had in a long time. Every bit as good as anything you can get in NYC! First time for us and a great experience. Will happily recommend.
Dan was as always excellent
Atmosphere was great
Food was excellent
We were not rushed
I went there during Brimfield Mart so perhaps that could have affected my visit, but after a long day of walking the show my group was ready for a nice meal.
The place looks nice from the street, as if it’s a town gem. If you enter through the back you walk into the bar and the large tv gives it a sports bar feel. The dining room is fairly nice with good table spacing during Covid.
The waitress was friendly and polite but wasn’t helpful with questions about the wine and her mixed drink recommendations were not great.
The food took a very long time and we saw other tables who had arrived after us get their food first. There were 3 of us and it wasn’t a full dining room when we ordered.
The starter salad was ok except for the croutons that tasted like they were out of a box.
Our dinner took another 45 minutes to come out and my food was barely warm. I ordered the chicken piccata and it was ok except for the temperature. My friend ordered the salmon dish and couldn’t eat more than a couple bites. We might have said something to the waitress at that point but she had told us the kitchen was behind and seemed overwhelmed. My daughter’s meal of meatballs and spaghetti was ok so she had the best meal of the 3 of us.
Overall it was an ok meal. I recommend lowering your expectations and ordering basics across the board if you do go there.
After a long day of traveling we were seated immediately, has drinks on a few
Minutes and delicious food ordered.
Lovely meal and great service
It was excellent
Food was excellent
Service was excellent
We had a very nice family dinner. Our waiter was very nice and helpful/patient. The food was very good!
We each had something different, the chicken saltimbocca was so tender and flavorful, would definitely order again, the short ribs was a winner, as well as the special pork chop of the night over mashed potatoes.
Friendly staff...food was delicious...drinks were very good! Very accommodating!
We always go here when getting together with our friends. It is our halfway point for each. The food is good, they always have specials, it is quiet so it is a nice place to have conversations. The waiter was excellent and always on top of things.
Very cute. Traditional Italian dishes. I had chicken parm which was delicious. My friends both had the salmon over salad and really enjoyed it. Nice gluten free menu, as well.
The doors in the front of the restaurant were open to allow a breeze, which was nice, but it also heightened the noise level significantly.
Service was wonderful - chicken piccata not as good as I expected. Caesar salad was good though.
the veal had a bad smell like it was starting to spoil . The risotto was average . The drink menu was extensive and tasty.
The server shouldn’t write off a table that isn’t buying drinks. My husband and I don’t mind spending a lot for dinner occasionally. We don’t drink alcoholic, sweet, or carbonated beverages, but we do enjoy dessert.
This time we decided against staying for dessert because it shouldn’t take a waiter 10 minutes to get back to the customer. Especially, when he says he’s going to get the dessert menu to read to them.
In addition, please don’t ask if we’re celebrating an event if you’re not going to acknowledge it. If the Open Table app requires it, you could always put in a line stating you don’t utilize that information. The places I usually go use this app, but they utilize the information by having a birthday (or Anniversary) card on the table upon arrival. Some do even more. I don’t expect that from all restaurants, but some acknowledgment would have been appreciated.
I thought it would be nice to try a new restaurant. I was wrong. This was the most disappointing birthday dinner I’ve had.
First inside dining in 15 months due to Covid. Missed this place. Scallops were excellent as was banana cheesecake.
Excellent food, great atmosphere, and outstanding service.
Ambiance, the food and the staff were outstanding. I would most definitely recommend and will absolutely be back
Delicious Italian menu, generous portions, great attentive service, will definitely be back
