   We arrived with a reservation and were taken to our table within minutes, a well lit room with windows. It was a very nice atmosphere and there were cloth tablecloths and napkins. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. The appetizers were brought out timely and hot. The wine was good and we requested stemware instead of the stemless. The beer was cold and frothy. Dinners were served after the appetizers and filets were cooked perfectly med/rare. There was a crash at the end from an unbalanced serving tray but it was all cleaned up quickly and everyone took it in stride. It was a wonderful day and I would highly recommend it to friends and family!

   Great restaurant in Sturbridge Mass. Food was wonderful great menu. Wine good and reasonably priced. Atmosphere is beautiful with all the windows in the dining area.

    We had to wait 30 minutes with our reservation but understand it was the later seating on Easter. It was well worth the wait! The food and servers were wonderful. Thank you to Elijah in particular for his professional and kind service.

    At first we were caught a little off guard, as we weren't aware of the limited menu for Easter, and saw that some choices from the regular menu we were looking forward to were not available. But our server was great, the choices we made were solid, and we enjoyed every moment and every bite. My wife especially loved the Warm Buratta appetizer. We both enjoyed the salad, especially the dressing, and our servings of prime rib were huge, yet cooked just right. And the caramel banana cheesecake was delicious. We look forward to a return visit to try to regular menu soon.

    Thank you, we had a very nice birthday dinner for my mother-in-law. The staff was kind and generous with their time particularly because I brought two cakes! The food was delicious the service was great the wine was exceptional.

    The food was good, the service was quick, and the room was lovely. However, since the room was relatively empty, one other table when we arrived, why were we all corralled into one area? We could clearly hear the conversations at other tables.

    Well, my date was an hour late, and I have to say that was fine. The restaurant is beautiful, such a nice ambience, and my waiter was so incredibly kind!! After a half hour of waiting I ordered myself an amazing surf and turf meal which made me very happy!!! I probably would have enjoyed my meal more but the inconsiderate jerk showed up and I packed up the rest of my meal to take home. I would definitely love to go back with a proper date next time and enjoy the whole experience

    Everything was great! I find all restaurants expensive these days, but everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Our server was excellent and very accommodating to any menu changes we asked for. Second time there and we would definitely go there again! No complaints.

    Our first time there. Being New Year's Eve, we expected it to be not so great. Food was very good, but the meatballs were only warm not hot and the risotto was not so great. Our waiter Dan was exceptional. The gals tending the bar were very friendly and drinks are great. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone and will go back.

    It had been years since I had been to Avellino’s. I live in Worcester where there are excellent restaurants and it is in Sturbridge. Still, I decided to check it out for someplace different. Rarely is halibut on a menu. My dining partner said it was superb. I had short ribs. They also were excellent.I hadn’t paid attention to the prices but when the bill came I as honestly shocked.     I’ve loved avellinos and the duck. It has always been a place that my fiancé and I have gone to in the area. However, we feel the quality of food has diminished over the last year. I ordered the risotto with butternut squash and chicken which tasted like boiled white rice with uncooked butternut squash. Couldn’t taste any seasoning or cooking wine. Needless to say it made it very difficult to eat. My fiancé had the vegetable gnocchi which was good, but not the best dish we have had. Definitely seasoned and cooked better than the risotto.

    Not a great experience as the risotto taste more like a ball or rice , I ordered mushroom truffle risotto, we couldn’t taste any truffle, mushrooms I counted 4 pieces and no cheese , very disappointed so was my friends … my salmon I asked for medium rare they brought me a overcooked piece of salmon, I asked for a new one , they didn’t bring the way I want it but no taste whatsoever, like blend … would not go there again !!
