Notified us two hours in advance of the reservation that the restaurant was closed for filming and seating would be in another location.
First and last time here. Service was terrible, food took forever to arrive and was mediocre. And the restaurant was empty, so it wasn't because it was busy. Will not return.
Great food, good service, lovely decor, recommended spot.
Service very slow . Salads brought without dressing, Food mediocre, followed by stale packaged (not homemade) cookies. But servers were pleasant. Nice ambiance and easy to talk to our friends but I was disappointed since some of the reviews said it was so delicious. It definitely was far from good. Won’t go back
Great customer service! Great food! I come here all the time because it's so close to work, but I love how quiet it is.
The service was amazing, the ambience was even better. The food was ok, especially for the price I expect the food to be on point. My pasta needed some seasoning and so did the yellow tail. The yellow tail could have had some type of side with it, maybe rice or potatoes even polenta maybe, but it needed more.
Service was off. Chronometer up off. Slow. Not paying attention to the order. Etc.
Disappointing. It was a holiday and the restaurant barely had any people, yet service was just sub par for the most part and slow. This is in regards to server, management was great and paid much more attention to detail. All or steaks were well over cooked but manager corrected that.
The food was absolutely fabulous. If you like real french food, then this will not disappoint. Service was very good. Only one drawback was that the red wine was served chilled rather than room temperature.
Great service! I was here two days in a row for business. I'll definitely be back.
Quiet night. Total 3 tables with customers including ours. Service was good. Food was ok. Wasn’t thrilled. Good experience.
It' s an hotel restaurant but it's very good. 2nd time there . French style food and pretty authentic. Wine list is a bit pricy, but tasty bottles around $70. It's not a steak house but one of the best steaks I've had.
Quiet. Romantic. Excellent food. Outstanding service.
2nd time eating there food is great both times service was lousy and the place was not busy not enough help or slow kitchen.
We had a great time The service was outstanding will be back soon
Somewhat disappointing. Food was just fair--escargot had almost no butter in the garlic sauce they typically come with. Waiter was competent, not super warm, and seemed overwhelmed with the number of tables he had to cover. Probably won't return at these prices and just fair food quality.
Food took 1 hour. Arrived cold and mostly mediocre. Below our expectations.
Everything was wonderful! The dynamic duo made the best margaritas ever and the service was exceptional! Would definitely go back😀
Avec Nous isnt bad - it just isnt very good, and with outstanding options nearby, there's simply no reason to go. The overall food quality was mixed, but not innovative or interesting in the least. The lamb chops were perfectly prepared and tender, but the side of mushrooms was very badly done: an incompetent job of sauteing left them sitting in a flavorless puddle. The pasta was fine, but not setting the world on fire. The escargot was off - in need of better oil and-or butter, and fresher parsley. The dessert - a chocolate-caramel mille-feuille - was excellent, and by far the best dish. The wine list is huge, with several options at and under $50. Our $40 bottle from Pays d'Oc was very good. Corkage is $35. Service was pleasant - curious to find an LA restaurant employing neither a smokin' hot hostess nor a 20-something wait-staff. The room has low ceilings, and a dated feel. Better to get a table outside if possible. The place was almost empty on a Friday night. Music wasnt too good, but neither was it too too loud. Plenty of free parking on Burton Way, and a valet too need be. No idea why they get a blurb in Angeleno - nothing about Avec Nous merits mention. With outstanding hotel-restaurant options like Culina at the Four Seasons and The Bazaar at the SLS so close by, there's just no reason to visit.
Beautiful venue, excellent service, incompetent kitchen.
This was a really great restaurant for date night and simply to celebrate life. Our server was really nice and she even comped one of our 2 desserts, just because we were celebrating life! My husband LOVED the peppercorn steak sauce. We will definitely be coming back here again
This was our first time at Avec Nous and we were not disappointed. Right now I think they are an amazing hidden gem in Beverly Hills, partly because they are not in the heart of Beverly Hills. Though we found the wine to be a bit pricy, the glasses we chose were of exceptional quality, they even let us taste before making a final decision. The dinner menu itself was fair priced with quite a few options. The beef tartare was listed as a small bite, but it was plenty as a starter. They even offered to bring more potato chips. I expected a handful more, but was pleasantly surprised when a small bowl appeared. The crab au gratin was delicious. My sister loved her burrata salad and margarita flatbread. We were not that impressed with the dessert options, perhaps because we were full. Hopefully they will make some alterations to it making it a bit more inspiring. We looked at the candy cart, but the options were not appealing to us. We will be back.
This was a wonderful restaurant..... the food was outstanding.... however, of you have a large appetite, order multiple courses as the portions run on the smaller side. The service was impeccable. The waiter knew when to approach the table and didn't interrupt our visit with friends. Altogether worth the visit and we will return!
We came for cocktail hour and had an incredible experience.
The service and the food were both excellent. The restaurants has a nice, calm, cozy and relaxed setting.
Food delicious but service terrible.
it was 2 of us.we order 1 cold appetizer(tartar) 3 hot appetizers (soup escargo and mussels) and 1 main course(scalops) (everything to share) all our food came at the same time.so we were not able to enjoy the dishes as envisioned by the chef.the server should have been more sensitive and aware of how send out the food.we had to ask for the wine bottle to be put on the table because wine service was non existent.to top things of the music was turned off and we had yet to finish dining it says that they serve until 11 pm but music was turned off at 10.35 urging us to leave.
The restaurant was very attractive and the staff welcoming. Service was very attentive but not intrusive. Although the menu was small, the dishes were well prepared with excellent ingredients. The price was Beverly hills but not excessive. I look forward to future meals there. It seems almost a hidden find with so many nearby places that are mobbed. I saw other dishes on the menu worth trying. I hope they expand the menu with the same care they create the current dishes. Best of all my guest and myself felt special after the attentive service and good food.
Our server was amazing!
Undercooked inedible duck. The waiter picked up a fork from the floor and put it back on the table.
Waited over 40 minutes for my 3rd course to come so then we decided to leave instead of waiting any longer. The waitress came off cold and wasn't very attentive. It was for Valentine's Day so you'd think they'd make you feel welcomed. Not what I expected.
As a French guy staying around in LA during 3weeks. I wanted to make discover my american fiancee a french restaurant. This restaurant has a very great location, nice ambiance. Waiters were okay - our drinks were empty during the all dinner unfortunately and no one proposed us something else. Food was good, dishes were innovative and wonderful treat for Valentine's Day. Amuse-bouche was a big deception... popcorn only... The selection of desserts was really disappointing for such a day in such a "fancy restaurant"... candies as dessert for Valentine's. Not acceptable (The other dessert was a coconut panacotta - not really french by the way and romantic). The rest of the meal was excellent (risotto, filet mignon, scallops).
It was bad, undercooked duck, oversolted carrots, horrible noice.
Dine LA lunch was worth it for the price . The grilled salmon with the kale chip was delicious
There was No napkins prepared until we required. The chicken cooked too dry, I can cook it much more better! The pasta and scallop are OK.
My friend and I had an early dinner; the food was very good and on that basis alone I will return. The service was excellent; the décor is sophisticated yet cozy. I also appreciated that we could easily carry on a conversation. Being a bit off the beaten track is a real plus for me.
Recommend for birthday date
Expensive and just average. No bad, but certainly not good especially for the price.
Service terrible and the food was mediocre at best.
Avec Nous serves delicious food however it's a ghost town inside! Very few diners which makes eating there a terrible experience. We went to celebrate my birthday on a Sunday evening and weren't seated in the main dining room because they didn't have enough customers! Therefore we sat in the lounge/bar area. It's a very causal bar area with people on lap tops and guys getting loud while throwing back a few drinks. Not a place you'd like to have a fancy French food.
It's a shame because the food is delicious but the atmosphere is awful. Everything I ordered was a 10! However since we were forced to sit an entire birthday party in the lounge/bar area, our dinner was ruined. This place is not a sophisticated, chic, upscale restaurant that it tries to portray itself to be. Instead, it's on the louder side which feels like a high-end coffee shop because so many people have their laptops wide open.
