We ordered the Christmas Eve takeout dinner and it was a sparkling joy during this holiday of such sadness and loss for the world. Frederic was extremely helpful and the dinner had several dishes that weren’t on the menu to our great delight! It also came beautifully packaged with a lovely printed holiday card and heating instructions for everything. The servings were so ample that we had yummy leftovers for 2 days. It was such a nice respite from our usual dinner routine and worth the price. It could have served 4 people but we couldn’t zoom it to our family! Everything was exquisitely prepared with the finest ingredients. Merci Avec Nous and your whole staff. Stay healthy and safe!
Avec Nous is the absolute best in terms of service, ambiance and product quality. They are able to provide true five star service, even with COVID. Joe and Tatum make a great team and provide a truly memorable, special experience for everyone.

At the end of the day, it’s a hotel restaurant. Ambience and service were great (ambience even more so during Covid- with dining outdoor on the rooftop). The food was good, but not mind blowing (likely because a hotel restaurant is stuck needing to satisfy a range of palates). And everything was on the expensive side. Including dinner, drinks, wine, and tip, the total was about $85pp. It was an enjoyable experience, but probably not somewhere I’d return unless I was staying at the hotel.
This was our first visit to the restaurant. We were very impressed with the food and service. Everything was perfect! We had a wonderful experience.
The restaurant itself is closed, so they moved everything to the rooftop, which is a bit outdated and sad looking. No guests at all. It was just us and another table. The food was good, but dessert was underwhelming: eclairs that were in the fridge (or maybe even freezer) for way too long. Expected more from the restaurant.
Joe was fantastic! He really took great care of us and made sure we enjoyed our evening. We came for restaurant week and were the only table for quite some time so it was very quiet but the setting was nice. Food was 10/10, and my steak was cooked perfectly that I almost came back the next day. Unfortunately we had other plans, highly recommend.
Social distancing was not properly done by the staff. There was a group of 3 very talkative people and I was uncomfortable with their germs getting into the air not far from me especially during this COVID pandemic.
Service from the staff was very slow. It took too long to order and longer for the food to arrive. The staff were nice to my service dog by providing a bowl of water and cushion. The food were good, presentation was lovely. The restaurant was neat but I feel service should be a tad quicker and more attentive. I would recommend and return, hopefully not during a heatwave and/or a COVID pandemic.
Positives - Great views from the rooftop of the L'Ermitage. Staff was polite and friendly.

You're dining on the roof, with heaters if you need them or the warm evening air. The view was beautiful, service was excellent, food was very good, a really great experience!
Such a hidden gem! Menus is delicious, wine list is rich and the service is outstanding. It's quiet and comfortable, no valet charge and the evening is yours! Can't wait to go back. No counting unusual dishes, very hard to find in L.A.

The food was average to below average. The real problems was the service. It would be hard to imagine worse service--the waitress took our order and that was the last we saw her. The busboys were not professional and were ill-trained. Two plus hours were mostly spent waiting for someone to take our order or serve us. This was an unpleasant, exasperating dining experience and no one should suffer such indifference and incompetence.
Worst escargot l have ever had. Ora salmon excellent.
A hidden gem, best kept secret in town. Food is original, some dishes even unique in this big town, great wine list and very attentive service. In addition, If you like to have a conversation over dinner, that is the place.

My husband and I booked the 5 course Christmas dinner on Christmas night, with matching wines. The food lacked flavor and was luke warm at best. The service was polite however timing was completely off, especially in terms of clearing dirty plates and resetting in preparation for the next course, and pouring the paired wines. The best part about the meal was the wines themselves. A disappointing experience.
Christmas meal was great. It appears that they are still working on issues with service. Management should really oversee each table to ensure quality service is provided throughout the evening. That should be the top priority for any competent restaurant manager. Despite the substandard service the food was fantastic and I still tipped 18% for that.
Realy bad food and service. We had Christmas 5 courses menu and we cannot remember having such bad experience.
What not to love about that place? Great menu and wine list, great service, all cosy and original. The menu has some unique dishes, almost impossible to find in L.A. such as a rabbit leg, a must try. The "Paris-Brest" dessert is to die for...
Extremely disappointing. The two of us each ordered the escargot from the "secret menu" and had really been looking forward to it based on other reviews. Unfortunately it was covered in so much pesto we couldn't taste the escargot at all. Ordered a second round of "extra dirty vodka martini" and instead received a gin martini straight up with a lemon twist. Called the server back over, after several minutes of watching for her (watching for her or any server became an all-night thing), and she told us the bartender went on break so the manager was making drinks and didn't know what she was making. Correct martini was shortly brought to replace the wrong one. Entrees arrived and we had no forks, as they were taken with our app plates. Took several minutes to hail another server to get us forks. There were bread plates and butter knives on the table the whole time but we never received either. The bouillabaisse was pretty good. Steak Frittes was not. Steak was very tough and slightly over the medium rare that I'd ordered. Fries were best part of the meal. Check came, gave the server credit card and an Open Table gift card. She brought back the credit card and bill for the full amount; did not deduct the gift card. After several minutes we hailed another server who apologized and took the bill back. After several more minutes the server brought the bill back which was reduced by the amount of the gift card, but said the manager "had to leave to go buy something" so she couldn't really use the gift card but they'd figure that out later and I could just sign the bill for the balance due minus the gift card.
All in all, would never return. For the location and price, the food and service were substantially subpar. The bar area seemed nice, and the hotel is excellent. We'd have been better off just grabbing a drink at the bar and going anywhere else for a good dining experience.
Need a couple more option for appetizers.
Main dishes are excellent even if my rabbit was too dry and the quantity is too small for the price.
Wine list is excellent and so is the apple tart for desert.
Can do a bit better to be top.
The place was nice enough but it had little ambience. Drink choices were limited and expensive.
The place was empty. There were only 2 other tables besides ours which is too bad because the food was quite good and the place is very pleasant and comfortable. Service was not great. Wine list very limited. When we want something we can’t find anyone around we have to wait to get a server’s attention. I won’t be back.

Ordered the steak and came without a steak knife. Took them a while to give us the menu and take our order etc...
The restaurant is attractive and well appointed, the food at dinner was hit of miss, overly salted spinach,
and a dry and tasteless desert. Service way off the mark, confusion about seating and incorrect order taking.
I have had breakfast at Avec Nous and found the food and service excellent. I would recommend having breakfast here but not dinner.
Great experience the food was awesome and great atmosphere. Chef Tim was amazing and made sure everything was perfect for our anniversary. Also Joe the matradee was very attentive.
