Server was weird food was ok and lights flickered. Too many elderly
Met friends for lunch. Food was very good. Able to talk w/ each other w/o excessive noise making it difficult
Very nice selection on the menu. You had different levels of the menu offerings. Different prices to fill everyone's needs. Nice wine selection too.
The restaurant told open table that we never showed for our reservation. Untrue as you verified. We didn't have a server assigned to us so after 20 minutes we had to ask if someone would please serve us. These were not a plus for the restaurant. However once we secured a server she was very nice.
Just a bad visit for food. We go here a few times a year but this time the food was just not good. From dinner filet under to dessert mousse being super thick/ heavy and gluey. I guess we will try again in the off season and hope for the best.
Everything’s was outstanding!! Highly recommend!!
Everything was great but I didn't get my 100 points for booking on open table.
Good atmosphere . I’ve been here many times and the food is always delicious.
They have the best early bird around. Enjoyed a nice meal before Jersey Shore Pops concert. We will returen
Several choices for the early bird specials which come with soup or salad, entree and dessert. Very friendly attentive staff!
Great service. Pleasant surrounding. Good
plain food. Excellent value
The food was unexpectedly EXCELLENT! Good portion sizes too. Lovely waitress and great service. Very quiet in there for a holiday weekend.
We were looking for a casual inexpensive dining place and we select at this restaurant. It is on the golf course side of you should have been very nice. Unfortunately we were not seated near window so we did not see the view. The server was great! The mistake we made is that when she explained the specials for the night she did not tell us the price and we were somewhat shocked when theBill arrived much higher than what we expected for this type of restaurant. If we go back we will definitely not order the specials and specifically request a window table.
Dinner on the deck on a warm breezy evening. Cindy ran the show solo out there, very efficiently. Best cosmo ever. Always a treat to be here.
We had a very good meal it was crowded and service was slow but we enjoyed the experience since we had plenty of time to get to the cape may theater.
Excellent service and food was delicious! Had the Hunter Chicken and it was awesome. Enough food to have a second meal!
We LOVE the Links.
Waitress service was fair at best but in fairness I believe they were also short-staffed. Had to wait 20 mins even though we had reservation and the table we were taken to was empty when we arrived.
Great Sunday morning breakfast spot. Cozy table, great service, so much better than the diners!
We enjoyed the restaurant week menus and found the food very tasty and well worth the price. It was initially loud but improved as the evening went on. Would go back soon.
Always a great time. Very dependable. Good value
Restaurant Week menu was a good value. Had prime rib which was very good and prepared to medium well and came out just right....delicious!
Our second visit and it did not disappoint. The Restaurant week menu was generous and food delicious.
Great food for restaurant week, large portions, great service, great service
I was disappointed in the food. Only one of the 4 of us liked what we got. Staff was great. Dropped a pretty penny but not happy
Lovely dinner with friends on the new Deck. They have a full bar with comfy sofas and Cindy is always there with a smile and something ice cold for us after a round.
This past Saturday night, even though the weather was threatening, our server Mark assured us that it would not interrupt our evening dining al fresco.
As far as the food, you could throw a dart at the menu and hit a wonderful dinner. Our service is alway above PAR (pun intended), and the view of the golf course is perfect at dusk.
Happy hour was much better when Jimmy Bannack was there. He draws a big crowd and his music is great.
The food was very good. We made a reservation but waited about 40 minutes for our table. Others were seated before us that came after us. I think we were forgotten about at the bar. The service needs improvement but the food made up for it. We would go back again.
Food (buffet) was over-priced and was not hot. Find a way to keep the food hot during a buffet. No one likes cold french toast.
The restaurant was of course full but they did a great job of getting us seated as quickly as possible.
Food was tasty and portions were generous
Good bar food menu. Two nit-picky comments: Chips that came with the spinach dip were way too greasy. Filet tip sandwich was flavorful, but the steak was a little tough
My husband and I went to Avalon Links for Easter Brunch. The restaurant was crowded and a bit noisy. What we found was there was confusion and too many steps and ramps for older people to maneuver. Consequently, a lot of people used our table as they went around the corner as a way to keep stable. The food was adequate but nothing special and the "hot" items were mostly cold. Overall, it was not worth the money we spent. On a final note, the restaurant automatically put a 20% gratuity on the check which was not warranted. The waitress was nice but 20% is just too much for a brunch and there were only two of us, not a large party.
First time trying Avalon Links - for Easter brunch buffet. There was a juice bar, an omelet / waffle line, a hot buffet line and a cold buffet line. There was a 10:30am seating. The 4 different areas for food was helpful to not make it too crowded getting through the lines. The "hot" buffet food was not even at room temperature for most items we selected. The fresh fruit display was nice on the cold buffet. With the amount of people there, there should have been more omelet stations, as that was in high demand - since the hot buffet food was not hot and did not taste that good. I would not repeat for a brunch. Was also disappointed there was no desserts offered at all, just the muffins / danish at the cold buffet. And none of them looked very exciting at all. The wait staff at the tables were very friendly and helpful in refilling coffees, etc. It was a pretty setting, just would have preferred better quality of food offerings.
We enjoyed our Easter brunch. However when we received our bill & noticed that gratuity was already included at 20% we weren't pleased. We feel as though being a table of 2 & seeing as it was a buffet we should have been able to leave tip according to service. Although our server was friendly when we were seated, she brought us 1 drink & never offered any more. She cleared our plates but did not bring our food out to us or take our order. She did not ask how everything was or engage in any type of conversation. Sadly we will not be back.
The "hot" food on the Easter Buffet Brunch table was cold. We opted for an omelet because we knew it would actually be hot. We did wait for 20 minutes in the omelet line. The only thing we requested of our waitress was coffee. We could not find her most of the time and the one time I did get coffee, it was full of coffee grounds. The biggest offense was that a 20% gratuity was added to our bill!! This was a buffet!!
We do not recommend.
We came for an early dinner on Saturday. We were immediately greeted by our waiter, Tom. We both chose Prime Rib from the early bird menu. We loved the salad, especially the fruit mixed in with the greens. The homemade bread was warm and delicious. The Prime Rib was cooked to perfection, as well as the baked potato and broccoli, all very tasty. We topped it all off with delicious ice cream. What a delightful dinner! Our compliments to the chef! What a marvelous waiter! He couldn't have been more attentive to us! And we didn't break the bank! We will definitely be back again!
We keep returning because the food is always good, they have two early bird menus plus the regular menu and a wine list with many choices, good prices, really good homemade warm bread, and a pleasant atmosphere with an upscale looking dining room. We can feel comfortable sitting, having conversation, not being rushed, but also being taken care of. Very enjoyable.
The dining experience was very good...... Although this is not a complaint, when I asked for a 3:30 reservation, we were told that there were only 2 times available 4PM or 4:30 PM on Jan. 27th 2018, I called on Wed, Jan 24 2018. we arrived at 3:40 PM and were seated immediately.
we left at 5PM, that entire time there were at least 40 to 45 seats with no one sitting in them.
Which seems sort of odd that I was told that only two seating times were available 4 or 4:30
