Authentico Ratings and Reviews
We arrived early and the greeter suggested a seat at the bar to wait for our table. We ordered margaritas which might be the best in the area. Someone ordered a prickly pear margarita. Amy, the bartender, overheard us talking about it and offered us a sample. Wow! Tasty, but dangerous. It went down way too smoothly.
Finally got to our table. Chips and salsa were above average as was the guacamole. Good menu selection. My wife had cheese enchiladas that were exceptional. Likewise were the carnitas tacos that I had. Service was great. The place was lively with updated Mexican music.
We only came here because we couldn’t get a table at one of our regular spots. Glad we did. We will be back.
We had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table despite having reservations and there really isn’t a great place to wait. The food is reliably very good, and once we were seated the service was very good as well. It’s a noisy fun atmosphere but you can definitely have conversations without shouting.
We eat there once in awhile. The food is good. The service the last few times is becoming problematic. There is not enough wait staff or the kitchen gets backed up. Never saw our waitress again after she took our order. The hostess Marcy was great she stepped in!
The food was creative and delicious - not just your basic Mexican food. I had a special - salmon tacos - made to order, hot and delicious with interesting toppings/sauce. My friend had a chicken dish she really liked, topped with mango. They brought churros with chocolate sauce and a candle for the birthday at our table - tasty! I hope to go back soon. Very casual. A good amount of street parking around the restaurant. Wait Staff very nice.
Ordered tacos and kids quesadilla - waited 35 minutes to get dishes that take 4 minutes to put together. Food was ok nothing extraordinary but service was an insult. Not recomended. You get better food and service at the chain that serves similar food.
Our server was wonderful unfortunately I don't remember her name, but the food all came out cold. We sent the soup back, it was cold. Also the fajitas were cold even though they were on a hot plate.
We didn't complain about the fajitas. They took the soup off the bill and brought us a dessert. I wouldn't rush back
Extremely slow service! It was a Sat night 8pm and we were 1 of about 10 tables filled. Waitress did not show up until at least 30 minutes then when ordered guacamole it came late and didn't bring chips until another 15 min. My parents were dining there earlier on same night and said same thing about the slow service. They did not appear to be short staffed that evening just very inattentive.
We've been coming here for great Mexican food since it opened. Good people, tasty food. Always offering up new and creative dishes. Not sure what's happened but I think possibly a change in management? We were seated outside as requested - took at least 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order (2 of our 4 drinks ordered did not need mixing). Drinks arrived 15-20 minutes later. We weren't in a hurry but joked that maybe we should order our next round immediately! Ordered dinner - 3 of the 4 of us got our meals - they brought me an entirely different entree. They were apologetic and sincere. my salad arrived (a special with mahi mani) and it was just a so-so salad for $22. They also had run out of a specific tequila which has never happened. Please know we have enjoyed many great meals here. Hoping things will pick up again when they get back on track - at this point, feeling it's not the value it used to be.
Typically one of my favorite spots; this last visit was disappointing from a service standpoint. The server accidentally spilled an entire margarita on 2 of the three people in my party. He apologized and brought towels. We were kind and acknowledged that it was an accident. However, we still sat through dinner sticky and wet. It would have been thoughtful for the establishment to buy a round of drinks, dessert, appetizer-ANYTHING or take a bit off the bill for the lackluster evening. Not impressed by this most recent experience.
Everything was great! Food was good, service was pretty good. I will say, we sat outside and it was very quiet... actually too quiet. I think there was music playing but it was so soft that I ended up hearing about 5 other table's conversations. My only suggestion would be turning up the music a bit. We will be back!
