Austin's Steakhouse - Texas Station Gambling Hall & Hotel Ratings and Reviews
This is our go-to for special occasions with the family. We have two teenagers and it is not too intimidating for them. The menu is consistent and has all the favorites. It would be nice if there were a basic dress code but the resturant is not responsible for guests’ poor judgement. Not good for young kids and limited dessert choices. But oh the potato choices are great!
Yet another great meal at Austin's steak house. Annual Christmas dinner.
Our server was Shawn, we have been served by him a few times before, attentive but not over bearing, just right a perfect server. Chopped salad is great. I had the Filet which as always was out of this world. The wife had the lobster, very nice size and just delicious.
Austin's is one of the hidden secrets in North Las Vegas.
Try it, you will return!
Best Steak I've had in 10+ years, Filet was as easy to cut as butter . Pretzel bread was bettet than in New York and crab cakes were amazing, not typical cream covered.. Waiter named Johnny was a great help and an overall nice person. I plan to make this a regular destination.
Sorry, but for a steakhouse in Las Vegas, this is very poor. Atmosphere is average and the service is good, but the dinner was poor. A family member had recommended Austins so we tried them for our anniversary. Both of us had the prime rib. Small portion for the price and no flavor. Very disappointed. My baked potato was over cooked, only ate 1/4 of it. Also had the Lobster chowder which was lukewarm and very salty.
So, I do not recommend Austins and it was a very costly learning experience.
Me and my boyfriend went to celebrate his birthday.
We really like our food, appetizers, the house salad and the steaks where just perfect.
Customer service even better our waiter Johnny was very kind, friendly and helpful.
We are coming back for sure.
Well been since April that we were at Austin's! Thought we would just have a good meal and play a little. Good run in the casino!
Now to the meal: We split a shrimp cocktail, then we split a chopped salad and a brushette. The chop salad and shrimp cocktail were as great as ever. Would not however recommend the brushetta, over priced for what one gets. Then we split a New York Strip.....one of the best steaks anywhere in Vegas. finished with a cappuccino each.
Austin's is by far one of the best steak houses in Vegas, a locales favorite.
The service was excellent (Robert, the server, John and Amber, the assistant servers). They were there whenever we needed them. The hostess, Stephanie was real friendly, soon as we stepped toward the entrance, she was there to greet us and without even had to mention that we prefer a booth, her already had everything set and ready for us.
The food was okay, not as good as they used to be. The Filet Mignon was smaller than it used to be. My wife ordered it to be rare and it came out as medium, but towards medium rare. My Lamb was also cooked more than I ordered. Also as usual, the manager, Lance, acted as if he was the kitchen and server helper instead of greeting guests and making conversations with them.
My partner had a chopped salad, and chicken with pasta, both good.I had the chocie bone in Ribsteak which was outstanding, along with a Yam, also was vrey good. All was great until I asked the server to pack up what I left, and he tossed the bone from the steak which had meat on it. It disappointed me greatly, and if I could I would asked for the tip I gave back. I did speak to the mgr, the following day, and he offered my a glass of wine which was okay, but not the bone.
Excellent all the way. Had a perfectly prepared meal from start to finish. In our party orders included lobster bisque and french onion soup, prime rib as ordered even with special seasonings, scallops, fish, baked potato, twice baked potato, asparagus, creamed spinach. Each item was delicious. Went during happy hour so wine was 1/2 off by the glass and the choices were many. Service was prompt and courteous. Highly recommend for a superb dining out experience.
Food was good, except 4 them undercooking my lamb chops, rare instead of medium. It took so long for our waiter 2 come, that my husband & son were done eating & I was waiting 2 have my meal fixed. They literally acted as if we weren't going 2b able 2 pay 4 our meal. We kept looking around bcuz there were only 3 couples there but we waited 20 minutes b4 sum1 came 2 greet us @table, 20 more 2 get some bread, my husband's Caesar salad was bland & my wedge salad was drowned in dressing. I expect this from Outback steakhouse $15 special, but not here. I don't know if they serve dessert, which we wanted but weren't offered. I guess our waiter was ready 2 leave. Hostess was talking nonsense about some movie with co-worker, I had 2 make sure my son didn't hear their convo. Too bad bcuz this place is around the corner from our house & we were hoping 2b regulars.
