Food was good, typical tex mex. We were surprised they charged for chips and salsa and then I also ordered tacos and they charged me for salsa to put on my tacos. Do not mind paying but will probably go to a different tex mex place next time that will have the same caliber of food without the extra charges. I was also charged extra for ice tea refills. Service was very attentive however.

The menu has changed quite a bit and there is a charge for chips and salsa which I think is not common for similar restaurants in the area. We want to support this local business but believe it needs to bring back its old menu or bring a menu that offers more items at different price points. This goes for the drink menu as well.

We ate outside with good social distancing along with redone patio . The menu has been revised but key favorites . We all had the tacos - shrimp , fish Steak and chicken that we’re deliciously seasoned . Homemade guacamole as started was tasty as well . We are glad to have our neighborhood place open again

I along with my husband, toddler, and mother decided to grab an easy Friday night dinner here. While the food wasn’t bad (wasn’t spectacular either although our experience may have clouded our judgement), we experienced some pretty poor service from some of the wait staff. When we saw that our main courses were about to be delivered, I started gathering up the platters and plates from our appetizers (wings, queso, chips, etc) and I had them stacked in front of me to make room on the table. Those of you that have dined with a toddler know that space is limited when you’re trying to play keep away with hot plates and small hands. I lifted the plates up so that my dinner could go in front of me and the guy delivering our food just plopped everything down and looked at me sitting there holding all of the appetizer platters/plates up for him to take and just walked away! He literally left me just sitting there holding everything. I didn’t have room on the table to put them and I’m sitting there with an armful of dishes on my pregnant belly. After a couple of minutes another server who was setting up an adjacent table for a large party walked by and I politely asked him if he could take the platters/plates that I was holding and he put his hands out and refused like I was trying to hand him a dirty diaper and walked away! I ended up putting them on the empty table next to us after holding them for five minutes. Such an odd experience.

Family dinner (6 of us). Got the reservation time we wanted, hostess was great when some of our party arrived late...our table was ready! Service was so-so, but it was very busy and dining room seemed understaffed. Manager visited the table. Food was good, served hot and in decent portions. Would return!

We went to the dinner this past weekend and encounter underwhelming tex/mex food with poor to bad service. I never try to judge a restaurant by my server experience since the hospitality industry pays slave wages and makes their workers live off tips; you never know what kind of service your going to get. The food on the other hand is entirely a different issue. We had table side guacamole and some queso to start. It took getting up and finding a server to get app plates delivered. The guac was nothing special and basic in my opinion. Having it prepared by the teenage hostess that I watched eat candy behind the host desk the entire time I was there was a bit surprising. I myself ordered the Willie Nelson taco platter. It came with 4 tacos and offered a verity which I though would be a good way to try out the new restaurant. I can not say I was impressed with any of the tacos, but that might have been because I was so unhappy with the service. To add to the point of the service, we asked the bartender to change the TV to the US men's soccer game that was going on. While in the middle of our meal the bartender changed the TV to another sport. Would I go back to the Austin Grille located in Springfield Virginia? Not unless I knew the management has changed or I received a hefty gift card. I'll stick to On The Boarder or UncleJulios or Guapos or Chuys.

I've always liked Austin Grill - but haven't been to the Springfield location in a while. If there is one thing you have got to get here it is their wings. Wow! They are not your typical bar wings - they are tender, flavorful, hot-off-the-grill, and straight-up delicious! In addition to the wings app, I had combo fajitas; my husband had the Willie Nelson combo tacos. All very good. Our server was busy, but he was prompt and friendly. The manager also checked in on us and spent a few minutes chatting, which made us feel very welcome. One downside: music was too loud at times.

What a mess! It took 30 minutes to have our waiter ask about drinks -- he announced he resigned that evening because of the chaos in the kitchen. We had to ask for service 3 times --- to order food and to inquire where our food was. Worst experience!
