It all started in 1988 with a simple goal: to bring the big, bold and crave worthy flavors of Austin and neighboring Mexican border towns to Washington, D.C. For more than thirty years, we’ve specialized in made-from-scratch Tex-Mex, specialty margaritas with real lime (no store-bought mixes here), hand-rolled enchiladas, homemade salsas and charbroiled chicken wings. Come for lunch, brunch or dinner and enjoy our house specialties – Austin style – like dry-rubbed slow-cooked ribs, sizzling fajitas, homemade migas and huevos rancheros. Good beer, good chips and salsa, but the waiter forgot to submit our meal orders, so we will never know if the food was any good. The place feels a little barren, like it hasn’t quite recovered from the pandemic.

Great service and good food…menu and restaurant are eclectic…solid Southwestern style menu with extras. Enjoyed the original wings - grilled style and added some hot sauce for spice. Best part was the service - server on her game and very friendly! Plan to return.

Food was good, typical tex mex. We were surprised they charged for chips and salsa and then I also ordered tacos and they charged me for salsa to put on my tacos. Do not mind paying but will probably go to a different tex mex place next time that will have the same caliber of food without the extra charges. I was also charged extra for ice tea refills. Service was very attentive however.

The place was next to dead but it still took time to get our orders in. The drinks flowed slower than lava. The food was acceptable but not worth a return trip. Take my advice. Skip this place.

It was a busy night and service seemed a bit challenged. We sat outside and the noise was a bit loud given that it’s located in a strip mall with cars continuously driving by. Food was okay.
