Y u close ? .................... Y u break my hart ?
Great food. Will miss this place
The food was delicious. We were seated and promptly greeted by our server. Drinks and appetizers came quickly, but we waited longer than expected for our entrees.
I’m so bummed Aussie and the Fox is closing, but so happy we got to go there one last time! They’re going to have a busy last week for sure! They have the best brunch in Lancaster! The crispy cauliflower is amazing! It was so crispy and delicious! It’s going to be hard to find and or replicate! I got breakfast and it did not disappoint! My other half got chicken and waffles, said it was the best he’s had in a long time! Always a great experience! Sorry to see them go, but thankful for all the memories we had there!
Great time as always - too bad it is closing soon. Get there while you can...
Great food, great place. Sorry to see that they’re closing
This is always been a place for delicious food and good conversation. The ambience amazing. Love the huge Orange chairs in the front windows.
We had a great time there. Nice atmosphere, great food and service. Quiet, nice for talking. And Heidi S. was very professional and pleasant. I just sorry they are closing.
Excellent food, service and drinks!! Go here!!
We love this place. The food is always very good and the service is perfect. We love to eat here before going to the show at the Fulton. Did not realize we could get a 10% discount with show tickets. Will definatelt do that next time. Fox always comes by the table for a chat. It is worth going for the food.
Aussie is always a lovely dining experience! Went with a group of friends for dinner and had a delicious meal and great service. Highly recommend!
This is our second time at Aussie and the Fox. We were bringing my mother for her 76th birthday because the first time we came we loved it so much and knew she would also. I had made reservations the day we were going and asked if it was possible to sit in the front window seats. The hostess was so amazing and called us telling us she was trying to make the window seat happen but it didn't look good so she was saving us a seat by the fireplace. The fact, that on a really busy night, she would take the time to try and make the night special for my mom was just so great.
The food was so flavorful that we couldn't stop commenting on it. My mom and I both got the scallops and we both agreed they were top shelf. My husband and father ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf and loved it. Dessert was perfect as well, especially with the candle in my mom's ice cream!
What a great birthday gift for my mom!
Service was great! Really enjoyed some of the food...some just wasn't my style. Anxious to go back and try the Aussie burger. Great atmosphere - though seemed to get a bit loud up front near the bar. (We were seated in the back, and it was nice and quiet back there.) Overall great place. Would definitely recommend and look forward to going back.
The food was great! Our waitress was attentive and helpful. We were seated right away (reserved table was ready for us) and had a relaxing meal. I would definitely return!
We stopped in for lunch on our lunch break from the convention we were attending. The service was prompt and we were done and out of there in less than an hour, without feeling rushed. The menu was creative. I ordered a Hamburger with bacon and fried egg plus sweet potato wedges. It was delicious. The waitress was willing to give us separate checks, and we didn't wait long for our checks. The atmosphere was rather quiet, which was nice. All in all, a great experience. I will definitely return to try some of their other menu choices.
Fantastic food and a great birthday brunch! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for fine dining in Lancaster City!
First visit to this restaurant and was not pleased. Food was very average and my wife only ate half of her meal. Felt the bacon wrapped meat loaf was greasy. I had the stroganoff and felt it was average. Expensive evening with average outcome. Our service was very good!
Cold food. Came out way too quickly to be cooked to order. I know restaurants prep some things but this was way too fast. I asked them to reheat my dish. They brought me a new plate of food in less than a minute. Again making me think it was sitting and waiting. My drink was good though and the staff was friendly.
Cute restaurant. Delicious food. The owner greeted us at our table, a tradition I thought to be long forgotten. Definitely will return.
Went there for restaurant week. We went to the Brunch. Food was excellent. Only disappointment is that they would not substitute creamed chip beef for sausage gravy. Service was great.
We’ve had yet another very pleasant experience at Aussie and the Fox. The food is scrumptious and the service is perfect.
It can get a little noisy at times but that has never ruined our enjoyment of spending time there with friends.
Canned pineapple on the Aussie burger?? Made me a little sad. Calamari was delish👌🏼
Very nice evening, however service was slow and not attentive. She was very polite but took to long to return between courses. Plus my wife knocked over the water carafe and no one brought towels, even after notifying them, nothing was done. Dessert was brought without extra silverware. Took foever to get check. We'd go back because food was good and it is a cool place. Hopefully, service would be a little better.
We met another couple at the bar before going to the Fulton for a show. The bar maid was very friendly. Meal was wonderful and we cannot wait to stop by on a Sunday for brunch. In fact, we wished we could have had brunch while we were there because it looked great.
My wife and I were first time dinner guests at this establishment. We were seated promptly and our drink order was immediately taken. Menu selection is very good. Our entrees were excellent and well presented. Service throughout was very good. Our favorite brand of local ice cream (Carmen and Davids) was on the dessert menu. We will definitely return here.
We went for an early dinner after a matinee at the Fulton. We started with the creamy French onion soup. It was delicious and definitely not like the traditional French onion soup. The Fox burger was very large and had a nice smoky flavor. We also had the rib-eye special. It was a bit over cooked, but still had a nice flavor.
. Excellent food and service. Not happy with the red wine selections by the glass. Too warm and not enough selection.
Awesome! My wife said the crab cakes were the best she ever had. I had the scallops, which were delicious! Wine was reasonably priced for a bottle. All in all a great time.
Brunch was fabulous. The Sangria was very tasty, and the food was comforting and delicious. A perfect way to start a birthday!
We had a great meal, loved the atmosphere, service was great!
We were very disappointed that there were absolutely no vegetarian options beyond a salad. We have always enjoyed this place but they seem to have lost touch with one demographic of Lancaster City. It will probably not be on our radar in the future.
late Valentine dinner
My husband and I visited for Valentine's Day. They had Beauty and the Beast playing on a big screen and cocktails themed after the movie, which was a pleasant surprise! The restaurant wasn't too loud or crowded, even for Valentine's Day. The food (crab and artichoke dip, a burger, the beef stroganoff) was delicious. We don't eat out at nice restaurants very much, so this was a very special treat. Thanks for making it a wonderful, romantic, and relaxing experience.
We enjoyed spending valentine’s day there
Everything the restaurant made was exceptional—truly one of the best meals I have eaten in Lancaster. The crab cake was THE BEST I have ever eaten anywhere. It melted in the mouth.
Service was also excellent. Our server was ideal: friendly, professional, and attentive.
I will certainly be back and bring other family members to enjoy this restaurant.
Everything was excellent for our Valentine's dinner.
Had a birthday party here. Really cool place. Great wine! Amazing food! Friendly staff!
Sorry to be a negative review of a popular restaurant. I made reservations for two as a birthday gift for my husband who turned 60 yrs. In my Open Table Reservation, I asked for a special quiet table telling them of the occasion. We were first timers and upon arrival were admiring the dining area until we're were rushed through to the very back table in an alcove corner where I faced a metal door and an EXIT sign. Ask not to sit here! It also happened to be the "forgotten" table of the evening. We only drank water and only ordered one entree each. It took one hour for our food to arrive. Food was prepared nicely and my husband and I each enjoyed our dinner. When the waitress asked if we wanted dessert (which we still had room for because entree portions are not very big) we decided to decline. We had already been there over 1 1/2 hours and were afraid it would easily be 2 hours due to the slow service. Tired of our atmosphere being as it was, we left ASAP. It was a special birthday, but not a particularly special celebration.
Outstanding cuisine and even better service. We will be back and I highly recommend Aussie and the Fox for any and every occasion.
An incredible experience with delicious food, comfortable seating, excellent service, a beautiful and unique and atmosphere with great attention to detail. Perfect for a romantic meal, reunion with friends, or any occasion. I highly recommend it!
