Aurum Food & Wine Ratings and Reviews
Food this time was not as good as we have had in the past. My nachos were unflavorful, and had few ingredients compared to most. The duck breast was dry and fatty. The beet salad was fairly good, but could have been better with fewer greens and more beets.
We'll try Aurum again sometime and hope for a better experience.
We've been to Aurum a couple times this winter season and have had terrific experiences. Service, food, ambiance all make for a lovely evening. It was particularly great seeing the fireworks from our table during Winter Carnival. A must try for foodies and diners who enjoy fine dining with service that appreciates your patronage.
We went here for our Anniversary dinner. This place is great! The food was perfect and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The fire work show across the river added a lot of fun to the evening. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Very happy we went!
Amazing food! Expensive but very normal for the area and quality. I only gave 4 stars because dinner for two was $150 with one drink each and an app. Again not too bad for the area but a little pricey. They were nice enough to also get us in early since we got into town sooner than anticipated. Not a very good beer selection but the wine I had was good.
Second night in Steamboat, second exemplary dining experience! Dinner started for me with another craft cocktail, this one featuring a boutique rye and blood orange juice. They had a sensational salmon bisque soup starter as a special tonight - not to be missed and then I had their grilled duck breast that was picture perfect (although I don't really take pictures of my food). Other items at our table included an arugula & strawberry salad and the crab cakes - high ratings for these as well. Great atmosphere, beautiful understated dining room with river view, and service was attentive and first rate. Desserts sounded incredible, but again just no room left for another bite!
A nice surprise. I had the Short Rib and my wife had the Elk both were amazing dishes. We had an appetizer that was amazing as well , but couldn't try to spell it. The view of the ski hill, the river, and the train that came by was all fun to watch. We would definitely come back next time we are in town. One of the better restartable in town by far.
We first came to Aurum in March of 2017 during a ski trip and also my birthday weekend. The cuisine is creative and excellent quality and taste. We planned a ski trip which was last weekend, and made sure to book Aurum again. The staff is very courteous and friendly, and the food is excellent. My Elk filet was so tender, and my wife’s seared Ahi was delicious. Get the shrimp Bruschetta for an app!
Great restaurant, the host was very friendly, our waitress Alexis was very friendly and knowledgeable, my son is pescatarian and had the salmon which was wonderful, and I had the tuna which also fantastic. I would highly recommend Aurum for anyone visiting the Steamboat area. Wonderful atmosphere, right on the Yampa river.
The food at Aurum was excellent - everything we ordered was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and clearly high quality ingredients. The service was excellent, and the restaurant is lovely. The bar area was really laid back and cozy, I would even recommend going there for a more casual meal. It's pricey, but the food is worth it.
The food was delicious. Many things we have never seen or tried. The wine list was great and we had all our questions about food and wine answered. Our compliments to the chef. Special compliments on the cowliflower appetizer .we look forward to another visit . Excellent from all food service and all the extras.
I had dinner tonight with my two sons. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. I dine out at fine restaurants a considerable amount and these people wrote the book on customer service. EVERYONE gave exceptional service. This is the third time I ate there and will definitely be back again!!!
Christmas--may have been an off night. We had high hopes based on reviews, but found almost every vegetable that came out to be undercooked. The salads were overdressed. The elk filet, in contrast, came perfectly medium rare; its deliciousness saved an otherwise mediocre meal.
