Perfect experience at the bar- great wine and brunch assortment ! High attention to detail re service as well!
A bit draughty when the door opens - a lot of people having to put coats on during dinner. Main course (gnocchi/mushroom/asparagus/truffle) - was ‘ok’ but gnocchi a bit soggy, and asparagus a bit crunchy. Generally the food here is spot on, and always an interesting menu.
Food wasn’t the best. Didn’t have authentic Italian palate. My husband got steak which he loved; I got cacio e pepe which was just ok. Service was good and nice cozy atmosphere overall, very rustic.
Aurora is my favorite restaurant in Soho
Aurora Soho was DELICIOUS! I was looking for a nice spot to share a dinner with my mother that had true Italian roots, and so glad I chose Aurora Soho. From the burrata to the truffle parpardelle it was to die for! Wish the dinner menu had more selections of gelato, but other than that it was wonderful. So sad to see it empty when we were there, so everyone, go get your reservation... this place is worth it!
Service was fairly awful. Our waitress didn’t stop by nearly enough and had she, we would have ordered more drinks. We had to wait like 45 minutes for our check. The steak I couldn’t cut through and the shrimp was too salty.
Great food great time - always a fun evening
ONE OF THE BEST DINING EXPERIENCES I’VE EVER HAD!! AND FOOD IS OUTSTANDINGLY DELICIOUS! Excellent keep it up!
Great food, service between courses was slow, we had to fill our own water and wine glasses which considering we had a late lunch, and it was quite, was disappointing. Our server was very nice, just not too attentive. I would go back and do recommend.
I love Aurora! I go at least once a week or every other week for lunch. Never had been for brunch so I suggested it for myself and 3 friends. As usually the food was amazing.... However.... our waitress was so unfriendly. She seemed annoyed to be there and when we asked for suggestions she was short and snappy. I know we all have our days but no need to take it out on your customers. I felt kind of bad after I raved about it to my friends and then to have that type of service it kind of ruined the experience. Hope that changes.
The food was not good. The meatballs tasted frozen, the waiter lied about having a house wine to convince us to buy a bottle. We asked for 1 order of Cacio E Pepe without goat cheese and they gave us a plain plate of pasta. We asked for another pasta with the eggplant on the side and they gave us another bowl of plane pasta. Terrible food, bad overall experience.
Great service and food !! Delicious
It was a Monday evening and not too many tables, service was extremely slow. However, the food was absolutely amazing!
Even though the restaurant opens at 11, I was early (10:50)
It was pouring and they still let me come in and sit
They served me a cup of tea and never made me feel uncomfortable
My friend arrived on time and we sat for almost 2 hours catching up
Brunch was outstanding and we never felt rushed
The food was excellent. Only thing was we were sat right next to the kitchen so it would sometimes get a bit loud. Other than that, the staff were very warm and welcoming. Would definitely return.
Love it! Not my first time there for brunch. My egg stasted amazing Just not hot enough.
The desert & pasta dish were especially good
The burrata appetizer was amazing. Typical Italian food with a twist.
Every plate was well conceived and executed. Surprising how rare that is- four of us dined, all were pleased. Highlights: fresh ricotta with chanterelle mushrooms, grilled octopus, and yoghurt panna cotta.
Loved the ambience. The branzino was excellent. Service by wait staff assistant was good however did not receive the best service from our main server.
Excellent Italian restaurant. The menu is focused and every dish is executed well, there are no weak points. Wine selection is great, from affordable bottles and quartinos to high-end bottles that make the perfect capstone to a celebratory evening. Deserts are excellent. The paccheri (sp?) has been on the menu since the restaurant opened and is still perfect.
The food was delicious - the meatballs were a big hit, as was the red snapper special. The service was pleasant and efficient. Biggest problem - the restaurant is small, so tables are very close together which can result in too much closeness, especially on a busy night. The other problematic issue was that we were a group of five, and one person was late due to a family issue-the restaurant would not allow the rest of us to order appetizers while we waited; this led to an unexpectedly long delay in dining. The staff, however, was very gracious about the time issue and did not make us feel uncomfortable or rushed because of it.
Well executed dining experience - from the ambiance (Italian rustic) to the service (attentive without being obtrusive) to the food (fresh country cooking).
Amazing food, love the vibe - rustic Italian kitchen.
Aurora delivered again. Cosy and authentic. The food was amazing, the wine good and the service nice.
The brunch was fabulous! Great selection of savory and sweet, and the brunch cocktails were the perfect complement!
Was surprised to see a very sparse crowd on a Saturday evening but the food (two pasta dishes) was fantastic as always. Homemade and delicious. We've eaten here about a half dozen times in the past two years and every visit has been very enjoyable.
Thanks giving special menu
Bartender was terrific. Waitress was very informative. Food was innovative and fresh. Atmosphere was cozy. A great date night place.
Food was savory and well paired and service was friendly and attentive. Would most certainly return
We choose to celebrate our sun's Birthday at Aurora based on Open Table reviews, menu and price list, we were shocked to see the the menu prices at the restaurant arr 20% higher then the one's presented in Open Table!! It was even more shocking that the manager response was simply: "we apologize for the inconvenience ". The pasta is good, and the wine list options are great.
The evening at Aurora started great. 15 minutes wait, although we had a reservation, but no big deal: we were very much looking forward to having dinner. Food was very good and solid (not exceptional), the wine chilled to perfect temperature. With that, heading for a 5-star review. Towards the end of the dinner, however, waiter and manager came nervously to our table three times, asking us to leave in more and more commanding voices, because of another group with a reservation. Given that we were waiting ourselves and just had a rather expensive dinner, tone and approach were, in our view, neither professional nor acceptable. Too many good reviews led to this attitude towards guests, one has to suspect.
Was Halloween and the city was crazy as always but Aurora Soho was so nice an fun, excellent food and the people was so nice.
Amazing as always
Great food and service fun spot
Need to give more rigatoni in the bolognase, and don't sit parties next to each other when there is open space.
The food was delicious. The drinks were really good too, the service was impeccable and when the bill came after eating and having 4 drinks each it was less than expected. We loved it.
Amazing food, great service - love Aurora Soho! We went with friends to celebrate our anniversary. Will definitely go back.
Overall good expeir
