Fabulous food and service. GREAT PLACE. Was a little on the warm side temperature -wise, but that won't stop me from going back!
We had a delicious lunch - from first to last. Highly recommended.
Great food. Service was a little slow for only having a few tables but the services was very good otherwise.
Very pleasant staff. Food is excellent. A bit noisy if sitting outside but that’s everywhere. I highly recommend.
We had a nice meal with delicious food
Loved this place as we ventured out during a super rainy night with storm Ida. Mia was amazing and we can’t wait to return.
A beautiful brunch with a group of ten. Adults and children. The menu was amazing and had something for everyone. Service was outstanding and we all had a lovely time!
Maya was so sweet she made our night so special! She really needs a raise!
Overall good spot , good food, good ambiance, would go again
The cacio y pepe pasta reminded me of how much I love Italian food! Great service as well.
Great ambiance, delicious food and friendly staff
Pasta was fantastic!! Loved the vibe. Would def go back
Overall, I will say the food was pretty good and the place was clean, but it wasn't worth the $165 I spent on a meal for me and two girls. Also my credit card was overcharged by $25!!! The croquettes were really great and I would recommend them if you go; however, I would NOT recommend this establishment. The place had a great ambience, but the waitress was awful--slow, inattentive, and just plain rude! She hardly checked on us and was quite rude any time we asked questions. Also, I wasn't a fan of broccoli and asked for a substitute (all the sides cost pretty much the same) and she said absolutely not, so I basically had a huge piece of chicken (that wasn't very flavorful) along with 3-4 small potatoes. It was really a letdown. When I ordered a drink, I saw the waitress standing around for a very long time doing nothing (there were only 3-4 tables being served in the entire establishment)... it took her 10-15 minutes just to bring a water. It was a ridiculous wait. Then at the end, we waited nearly 30 minutes just for the check after we were finished. For three people, my bill was $165. It definitely wasn't worth it. The experience was really bad and you would think they would've given us better attention given that they had hardly any customers at the time. Oh, one final note. Something that made me very uncomfortable - the waitress stood there over my shoulder and asked me to fill out the tip amount in front of her. It was really awkward and rude (again). No surprise. DON'T GO! There are much better restaurants we found in SOHO that were much better.
One of my favorite restaurants in NY! Incredible food and service!
Food was very good but the restaurant had minimal to no AC and it was already 88-90 degrees outside. Wish I knew cause it affected the experience as we were hot all dinner
Enjoyed dinner. Gazpacho followed by the whole branzino and pasta with seafood. Very comfortable dining.
Forgot we existed. Waited almost half an hour without any sign of water, or a server. Funny, we were the only people of color there and it was nearly empty when we sat down. They started seating large groups of new people (not people of color, surprise surprise) before they even glanced at us. I had to flag down the host, in a nearly empty restaurant, for water.
When I come to NYC, I love to eat at Aurora. Last night, my experience was poor. I had a reservation at 7:15. We were on time and seated. We ordered drinks. Our waiter left and we did not see him again for 30 min. Our drinks arrived an hour later. Communication between the wait staff and kitchen was off. Three appetizers arrived at our table that we had not ordered. We told the man who brought them to the table that we had not ordered them. He located our waiter who then came over and removed two of the appetizers and took our dinner order which included the one appetizer that remained on our table. We wanted to order wine but the waiter never brought a wine list and we still did not have cocktails. We each ordered a pasta dish. The kitchen sent out two orders of pasta for us to share. Once again, our order was messed up. The waiter came over and told us the kitchen made a mistake. He was surprised that we still did not have our cocktails. The server took away the two pasta dishes and promised to bring out four pasta dishes in about 15 mins. The pasta came out and was delicious. No cocktails, yet. Cocktails arrive while eating. We asked for our check and paid. Aurora’s was a disappointment last night. I understand that restaurants are struggling trying to hire people. What bothered me the most was no manager being present and apologizing.
Amazing food. Great quality, fresh and delicious. Highly recommend
Pastas were salty. The pork chop special was perfect though!!! So good. This place is definitely worth it. Ambiance & service compliments each other.
Wonderful experience! Food, service and ambience were perfect! The drinks are amazing!
Sat outside during a beautiful day. Normal NYC noise & traffic. Meal started with Tuscan Kale salad absolutely delicious. Shared the cacio Pepe. Very well peppered and creamy. The meal was a very well done branzino with a caponata. The dessert was a very nice amaro with an incredible semi-freddo dessert. Just a great experience!!
Delicious start to finish. Cozy and off the beaten path.
Too many probs to list.
Won’t go back.
Staff kind but couldn’t make it work.
This was my first time back post-pandemic year. They are still excellent and have set up the space thoughtfully to give diners confidence. Food was great as always.
We met up with an old friend for the first time since covid. We were looking for outdoor dining but the outdoor venue here was uninviting so we decided to venture inside. That was a wise decision. The dining room is spacious and inviting. The staff were welcoming and efficient and the food was great. What else can I say? We had bronzino that was outstanding. The price was right , no one rushed us so we had lots of time to catch up with our old friend. We'll be back!
Was very nice, will definitely be returning thank you!
Second time at Aurora and it did not disappoint. Delicious food and great value for the quality.
Great staff and service. Ok
Great neighborhood place. Very good food. Nice staff. Recommend!
Crab Benedict so good. Frittata delicious. Loved everything and would recommend.
Food is excellent but the service was very slow. We were sitting there for 30 minutes before someone even took our drink order.
Our hostess/server was not very attentive and seemed annoyed we asked her questions about some dishes. The food was good, but not great. When she brought us the bill, she stood there AND WAITED FOR US TO take our money while the bus boy stood next to her. He then proceeded to clear off the table while we were still drinking our wine! He took my napkin while I was still seated finishing my wine. Very disappointed with the service. Will not be back.
Had much better experiences in the past. No dish really wowed us and the service was good but not outstanding.
Food is great and the restaurant is delightful.
Excellent food and service
The food was really good and the service outstanding. It’s not very pretty inside or nicely decorated but the food is worth the trip.
