Great food, have been to this place a few times.
App - Piedmontese beef with maitake mushroom and shaved foie gras - 5/5
25oz 40 day aged ribeye - 5/5 (they had 40oz but can ask the chef to cut smaller if for one person)
Ragun- 5/5
Tiramisu -3.5 - too much coffee made the lady finger soggy
Great food! Great service!
Very good experience overall, food was great
Lovely place with excellent Northern Italian - a real find!
I've been to Aurora 3 times. This last time unfortunately didn't hold up to the other two. The chicken main course wasn't as good (it was dry), though the other dishes we had were excellent. The waiter made a mistake on one dish for our party, but it was swiftly corrected.
Excellent food, ambiance and people!
Fantastic food and great service, I will definitely go back.
Great food, great value. Love this place.
Food was absolutely amazing and the feel was so neighborhood but special. Everyone was made to feel like they were important. Highly rate Aurora!
Great brunch place! Had a blast as a party of 2. Good pasta and crab eggs Benedict. Not a huge brunch fan, but I would go back any time for the Benedict and pasta!
Great place!
The cacio and pepe wonderful
The burrata real one even better than Rome
All the staff excellent
Thank you guys. Be always back
Simply awesome. The whole experience was perfect. Food excellent and wine recommendations were great. Highly recommend.
After a recommendation from a friend, we decided to have lunch at Aurora. We were greeted by the manager and escorted to a cozy table. After perusing the lunch menu, the pris fixe seemed like a good opportunity to sample appetizers, entrees and dessert. We both selected the shaved kale and Brussels sprout salad which was nicely prepared and nice and crunchy. My companion had the pappardelle with meat ragù and I chose the paccheri with tomatoes, eggplant and basil. The dishes were nice and hot and very flavorful. For dessert we shared tiramisu (the best) and affogato. We were pleased with our meals and are planning to return for dinner soon.
Aurora never ceases to impress me with its amazing food and service!
Everything was great. The food was spectacular and the service was generous and smooth. Definitely coming back soon.
They didn’t inform open table that we showed up so I just got an email from open table asking why we didn’t show... ridiculous. They even confirmed my first name. Additionally, we asked for bread four times while every other table got it and it took them an hour to bring it. They randomly brought us extra drinks which was random. Overall they just don’t have their act together. ESP after the mediocre service the fact that they didn’t click that we showed up made me angry.
I had seen aurora passing by before but I had no idea it was such a great place. I took my parents here who were visiting the city and I worried a lot about noise level and it being too “hip and trendy” . However the restaurant was cozy and elegant Italian. Delicious and unpretentious. So happy I chose this place. Will be back again :)
This restaurant never disappoints .The pasta dishes are fresh and the sauces are exceptional.Everything from starters to desert was very good
Fabulous food and good wine... I’ve returned here every time I visit New York.
I was really looking forward to brunch at Aurora with my mom who was visiting town. The service was slow and our server not very friendly at all, in fact all of the staff from the host to who I assume was the manager walking around picking up a glass here and there were not very warm or friendly. I get it's all hipster vibe and everything but come on. The restaurant was very cold from a draft coming in. We arrived shortly after they opened and asked to sit in the back of the restaurant and was told the tables were reserved, but we ate our meal and paid before anyone took those tables. Our food arrived and while tasty both of us got benedicts and they were cold cold cold. I should've sent them back, but we had a theatre performance to get to and so we just ate our cold food. the benedicts came with potatoes and literally there were 3 potatoes on my mom's plate. I should've taken a picture. We paid and left a nice 20% tip despite the poor service, but I won't be heading back to Aurora any time soon.
Aurora remains one of the best dining experiences in NYC. It is consistently excellent; the kitchen is superb and executes classics as well as innovations sure-handedly. The prices are fair and the ambiance is warm and welcoming. This is a restaurant for all seasons and all occasions. Bravo Aurora!
Fabulous food - great location and friendly ataff.
The food was amazingly delicious. Definitely worth a visit!
Great food, great service!
Sat us almost an hour late. Stating that they have 2 reservation systems, 1 for OpenTable and 1 that is their own which causes "confusion". So they say their reservations first as priority. Special Short Ribs were overcooked and rubbery making it impossible to cut and eat. Overall a horrible experience.
Fantastic food and service. Definitely revisit in the near future.
First time here. Found on Opentable. Food was absolutely first rate. Unique menu with some very different dishes. I had Wild Boar and was as good a dish as I have had in a long time (and I am not someone who would normally this type dish). Great looking crowd.
Great food in a cozy setting. Would definitely go back again!
Found Aurora earlier this year after doing a speakeasy tour and I’ve been dreaming of the cacio e pepe ever since. Was so happy to bring my son and his girlfriend for a rainy night pasta meal. We will be back!
Wonderful food fantastic service. Just too loud for conversation.
Service was a little slow, slow to get bottle of wine, slow to entrees
A favorite place when visiting NYC, love the kale and brussel sprout salad, delicious homemade pastas, very dependable
A real neighbourhood favourite. Inventive rustic Italian food served with a warm smile.
really good food made with the best ingredients, we loved every bite.
Great seasonal menu. We had dinner and were seated in a quiet corner table. Brussel sprouts were great as well as fish special of the day. Many healthy options. Highly recommend.
Enjoyed the restaurant. Food was good. Although servers were very friendly and accommodating the service was very slow. In spite of that I would go back again, hoping it was an off night.
Really delicious food. Very noisy. Small but very active bar scene.
excellent food, good for groups, friendly service. we went for very early dinner so couldn't say anything about noise level as not many dine that early.
Great food. Service was quick. Overall, good experience
