The consistency of quality in both the cuisine and the staff is what draws us back

Our first time. Service professional and attentive. Food outstanding ; we will be back!

The food I ordered was delicious. My husband found that his sole had too much lemon and we have to order another one and pay for the one he didn't like it. Usually good restaurants don't charge . The waitress was too pushy .
We like to enjoy our wine and talk and she kept pushing us to order our entree while we were having our appetizers . My husband had the carpaccio and he wasn't finished and the waitress took his plate so quickly that he wasn't able to say that he wasn't done .

Overall, I liked Aurora Ristorante. The service was very good - Julia friendly and attentive.
The short comings were in the food. The flavor of the lobster bisque was fine, but it was too thick. I prefer more of a creamy texture, this bordered on a thick, lumpy gravy. We opted for the creme brulee. Again, the flavor was fine, but the texture of the custard left a lot to be desired.
On a more positive note, our entrees were excellent: veal cutlet parmigiana and the salmon special. I would go back, but skip the bisque and creme brulee.

My husband and I enjoy this restaurant very much. It is so pleasant to eat outside on their patio and enjoy a lovely lunch. They do have seasonal wonders like their Butternut Squash Ravioli and their Penne with Scallops. Their Lobster Bisque was exceptional. Our foursome ate there on Sunday night and had a nice meal. The service was good and attentive.

We had a great meal, good wine, pleasant atmosphere. All you could ask for.

If you live in the area this is a go to restaurant.

We were seated promptly, our waiter was friendly, explained the specials well
I had prawns Dore, as good as I remembered from the last visit. The potatoes, the plated side dish, were eh.
The petrale sole special was good as was the chicken cacciatore special according to my friends
No one was hungry for dessert, so I can't comment on that
The noise level was high when we got there but better after a table of four loud talkers finished and left.

Delicious food. Specials were tasty. Every time we eat at Aurora, we are pleased. Service was attentive. Love the Petrale Sole special.

We only found this gem a few weeks ago but have eaten here now 3 times! The consistency of the service (very friendly and attentive) as well as the really fantastic food has made us huge fans!

We took a friend for lunch and were greeted warmly with excellent service throughout the meal. My salad was just right in portion and delicious. My husband and friend had sandwiches which they both raved about. We will return when we are in the Novato area.

In the industrial area of Novato this was a pleasant surprise - really good food and service - a lovely place to luxuriate with friends - the staff was attentive but not overbearing - definitely will return to this unassuming spot only a few minutes off the Highway 101 Freeway in Northern Marin County.

The Saltimbocca is outstanding, but we'll venture on to something different with the next visit. We have found our "go to" spot and neighborhood gem.

My two dining partners had wonderful meals....mine, it was a lunch time seafood salad special.
The seafood was hot so it did not seem like a true salad. It was not what I had heard waiter describe . The taste was odd ...salmon was spicy and very over cooked, actually all the seafood was over cooked except a few muscles which I do not think we're cooked enough. I realized that after I ate one! That night I was very ill so I think my feeling there was something odd about the dish was right on!
In hindsight I am wondering if the seafood was a special using the left overs for the week.
I have been to the restaurant ALOT so obviously like it, but I won't be ordering seafood again. Also there was a large group of people celebrating a birthday. They were overbearing they were so loud.

Great professional service. Clean with cloth table linens and cloth napkins. There were fresh flowers on the table and my delivery of additional flowers was well coordinated and accepted. Fresh made pasta not sure if in house for the paperdel but the knochi was worth the travel but it self. Well done can't wait to go back next week

We are outside on a lovely warm night. Calamari Dore was wonderful and the server was friendly and efficient. Prices are very good here as well. Enjoyed it a lot and will be back!

Always good food service was off a little tonight. Seafood in pasta dishes always great

The Calamari Fritti was perfectly cooked, and very good. The rest of the meal was just average. Not much taste. The veggies were good, but boring scalloped potatoes. Not sure if it was an off night, but I won't go back for a while.
Service was spotty. Table for 6, two arrived early and were served water. Rest of party had to ask individually for water. Other drinks did not come without a couple of reminders.

I always enjoy lunch @Aurora Ristorante. Calamari fritti perfectly battered and fried. Special today - grilled salmon on caesar salad was delish... I asked for salmon cooked "pink" - medium rare and the chef prepared it perfectly. Service was inattentive for a slow afternoon...however, I'll be back.

We had the Saltimbocca which was absolutely fantastic. It is a "go to" place for us now.

Great food. Outdoor area is nice. Inside can be crowded and noisy at times.

The kitchen was pressed by large parties on this visit and the cuisine was a star short, but the atmosphere was fun, celebrating Mom on the eve of Mothers Day.

ALWAYS a good meal/atmosphere. Julia was a great waitress & Ishmaiel is always a delight. They were both attentive as well.

Great food friendly people. Small but low noise. Very cozy and clean. Great service. Took neighbors, they also enjoyed their dinner.

The cuisine rivals any other restaurant in the city. The service is outstanding. It is truly a gem for those reasons. The building that the restaurant occupies is what detracts from the experience. A wood door and some window treatments might solve the problem.

Good food and attentive service. Hard to decide what you we wanted off the menu, so each person in our party of 4 picked something different and shared. All the dishes were done very well--
++ on the ribeye, cooked perfectly.

Delicious entrees...great specials! Fabulous desserts at an reasonable price! Comfortable seating and not so Lou's that you can't have a conversation!

Service was completely inadequate. We were not approached by any waiter for 15 minutes until I asked for one. Waiter did not know how to use a corkscrew and couldn't understand what a carafe was for the red wine we brought but offered an "ice bucket." We hoped for good food per the great reviews so wanted to overlook the inattentive service. Unfortunately every course was so disappointing! The Ceasar salad was worse than would be found in an airport and the pasta was just plain and nothing special. No one seemed to be in charge of what we hoped would be the same restaurant we had read about- casual but with good service and great food. Perhaps this was just a bad night but unfortunately there was no part of our experience that could be described as good. We won't be back.

My wife & I had an excellent Italian home cooked meal. We started with an eggplant appetizer with green salad & gorgonzola. When the dish arrived our eyes popped wide open because of the large serving size. Then, the rich, flavorful and creamy lobster soup came and by then we knew the rest of our meal will be fantastic. The buttered Petrol and Clam & Mussel Pasta filled us up with such delicious flavors we could not stretch our belly's to make room for dessert. I jokingly asked my wife whether we should do jumping jacks to bring the food down so we could eat some more. We highly recommend this restaurant! We love it so much as we left the restaurant we were already talking about going back and inviting our families to come join us! Gratzie per I'ottimo pasto👍

The Calamari appetizer and both pasta entrees were wonderful. We will return soon.

Great food in a mostly industrial are of town. Excellent service. Table cloths on tables and nice environment (you can talk and hear each other).

Overall the dining experience was good. The Caesar salad was disappointing, however, dry lettuce with no flavor or dressing. Had to use the oil for the bread on the salad. All the entrees were very tasty & the service outstanding. Wouldn't rush back but would consider a second 'try'.

We enjoyed our meal. The food was very good and the portion sizes were very good.

Will go back again.
