Had been here several times before. Was an intimate setting with great food. They redecorated a year or so ago and lost the intimacy. As well menu was not as interesting. Service however was quite good. Perhaps just me. But will think twice before going back.
Why do chefs ruin an evening by trying to do small portion cooking. Plates too small for a ski resort. Food was OK but take a look at portions. Red Door up the street is booked because they get it. It’s a ski resort not Paris.
This was a pleasant experience, but there was some unevenness of service. The waitress was somewhat perfunctory, but was very accommodating with a special drink. The tenderloin and lamb dishes were outstanding, but the yellow tail and salmon appetizer tasted too strongly of the seaweed served with it. We would come back, hoping for something more consistent.
Aura has been redecorated since we were there last year. It now a more casual, modern interior with a fun ambiance. The only misstep in the decor is the over use of cold, fluorescent-like lighting which is not a good look even at lower end restaurants. Interestingly, the lighting and energy in the fireplaces lounge area across the hall seemed like a lot of fun. Perhaps we were in the wrong spot.
We were there for a Valentine’s price fixe, which is always a dicey proposition as it puts tremendous pressure on the staff and excessive expectations on the part of the clientele. The food was tasty, a surf and turf combo with beef tenderloin and king crab legs was good. The mashed potatoes were especially good. The only disappointment from a culinary perspective was the chocolate fondue. We had a nice evening but probably not nice enough to do it again in this format.
The newly remodeled Aura sadly lacks the ambience and cozier setting from previous Aura. It has been replaced with bright lights and techno pop music. After a day of skiing, followed by lovely spa treatment at Nita Lake Spa, the last thing I wanted was to sit in a bright restaurant and listen to techno music. Although our meals were good, they were overpriced and the wines by the glass were limited. I would opt to sit in the bar where the lights are lower and the seating more inviting.
The restaurant decor is really beautiful. The service was great and food faultless. It seemed empty when we were there - I think the request for a $50 per person credit card charge for 48 hour cancellations could be a deterrent. In the 2 weeks we spent at Whistler eating out every night, this was the only restaurant to request that and due to the location in Creekside vs Whistler could turn people off.
A hidden gem in Whistler. It was so nice to not feel rushed when most other restaurants in town are filled to capacity. Everything was so delicious, including the 8th Dwarf Cocktail. Our service was friendly and professional. We will certainly go there again and would not hesitate to recommend it to our guests.
First time eating here. Our waiter was very accommodating as we ordered drinks and our food piecemeal since we weren’t in a hurry. My wife had the burrata to start which she very much enjoyed. I wasn’t starving so I skipped the appy and went straight for the main with a tasty lamb dish. My only knock against the meal was $44 for a plate with very little meat. Everything was well prepared
The food delicious and the portions were perfect. The service was good and friendly.
The decoration has been changed from cozy to simple and basic which I do not like. Service is minimal like you pour your own water. There is no table cloth. Forks and knives are put on one side rather than properly put. There is no coat check but changed to hanging outside the restaurant. Food is okay but not for gourmet cooking. Price is value for money.
Horrible service, multiple requests for food ordered were disregarded. Overall lack of follow up or follow through with wait staff. Spent more time waiting for food than we did eating the food. We’re not asked for more drinks or given explanations as to why things were taking so long until waiting for dessert for 45 minutes. Some of the food was good but not worth the prices they were charging. Some of the dishes, the soup, were quite flavorful but an overall poor service and ambiance overshadowed any highlights the meal had to offer.
Beautiful view, quiet, attentive, wonderful meal, very creative without going overboard.
Waiter was quite absent during our lunch. Other wait staff seemed to pitch in here and there. A lot of them seemed to be more concerned about standing around and chatting. The gluten free pancakes were just ok. The hash had more potatos than it should have. More mushrooms, as advertised, would have been nice. The view is beautiful right beside the lake. Pretty average experience.

We had all sorts of reservation confirmation from OpenTable for Aura at the Nita Lake Lodge for a table for 4 at 1:30 pm but when we got there, no one had any record of our reservation and the Aura restaurant was not even open during the time of our reservation. So that was a complete waste of time.
Canada 150 menu was original and offered different tastes from across the country. The only disappointing serving was the pork loin wrapped in bacon and served with just 2 scallops. The pork loin was bland, with no taste other than what it got from the bacon.
Also, I thought the all inclusive meal and the wine pairings were both somewhat expensive for what was served, and would not do that again.
Reserved three weeks in advance and received one of the tables in the back for overflow, not very good! Coffee was weak and eggs Benny poached hard was undercooked, sent back, and still undercooked. Server was friendly. Missed the mark!
Truly enjoyed the evening. Started with cocktails at CURE across the way. View is spectacular. Went to Aura for our reservation at 7:15. Both ordered on the special $39 menu - outstanding value for the price. We got to take advantage of Canada's almost 150th birthday. Short ribs were amazing, but my favorite part of my meal were the mussels served in a pot. Toby was an excellent server - great memory; very accommodating towards all of us and the patio guests. Wonderful evening. Memory of a lifetime.
Great dinner, excellent food. The staff were great, we were there with our baby who was crying a bit and they moved our table to a more quiet place. Excellent time, can't wait to be back
Great Service,great food and great view! It was a wonderful way to end a nice weekend by having a delicious dinner by the lakeside. We will be back!

We love Aura, close to our place, reliably great food and a fantastic setting. Our last visit was excellent; duck for me and halibut for my wife. Both perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Like most places in Whistler, it is a struggle to keep good, well trained staff, particularly in the shoulder seasons. However, our somewhat inexperienced server made up for his lack of expertise with his warm and friendly manner and attentive but not in- your-face service. A marvelous meal and we will be back
We came too early for our reservation, but it was a great dinner. The chicken with lentils, leeks, and kale was excellent!
Went for dinner. Toby our waiter was attentive, and the sommelier was informative. Room was a bit on the dark side. We shared the beet salad, she had the mussels and me the sea bass. Food was tasty. The wine list is pricey.
I really want to like Aura, and there is much to like here; however it could easily be SO much better. To begin with you get a menu that also offers you a set price for three course....only it doesn't. Almost every selection on the 'fixed price' menu has additional costs, so you end up with a calculator working out what you want to do. I am pretty sure that wasn't their aim when they set out on that idea. Keep it simple chaps!
The food is good, but you need to add a side dish... not an issue if your server pointed this out. Ours server was nice, but obviously not a professional. We never got any advice and I am always amazed that people on a commission are not more aware that they need to offer good advice. As long as you are not pushy.
All in all it is OK, but it could so easily be VERY good. it needs to cut some of the pretention, focus on the basics and sort out the calculator menu. Then I'll come back.
Very nice restaurant inside Nita Lake Lodge. Only con would be that it took almost 15 minutes to get the two drinks we ordered. Other than that, it was lovely.
Worst service I've ever received.
The host said it was really busy and we would need to wait, but I told him we had a reservation.
When we got in, it was totally dead but we still waited about 10 minutes for our server to come over. Everyone working seemed stressed out and busy even though the restaurant was dead.
great place in Creekside at Whistler - glad we picked it out - went for Valentine's Day - had a 3 course meal for about $65 (special deal) - handcrafted cocktails - looked to be a good wine list, although we did not partake in wine - liked the ambiance - servers were friendly - food was very very good - so we may return even when not staying in Creekside!!
Fantastic food at very reasonable price for that level of quality. The restaurant had very nice atmosphere. We would definitely come back again.
The service was really slow on our visit a few weeks ago - yet the restaurant was pretty much empty. The dessert was the highlight of the meal.
Our usual favorites were full so we thought we'd give Aura a try. Immediately we knew this was not going to be a good experience. The wine took an extended amount of time to arrive and we felt abandoned as we hoped to order. After finally ordering, the items came slowly and were of such poor value it was humorous. The food wasn't too bad, but the portions were tiny. Overall, a very poor value and a disappointing dining experience.

Our meals were very good. Unique presentation and great flavors. We dined during Cornucopia and really liked the selection available for the 3 course meal. Our server was very knowledgeable, although table service was a bit slow.

Excellent! We both had the Nita Lake Salad which was delicious. My husband chose the salmon while I had the sea bass and they were just amazing! Only thing we were unimpressed with were the desserts, surprisingly.
