Augustino's at the Augusta Marriott Ratings and Reviews
We were as next to a exit door on a cold day with a draft, despite the abundance of more comfortable seating. Food was hot, slightly above average in flavor. For 4 people at lunch the bill came to $66.00. I included a $10 tip for a total of $76. I just saw a charge on my card for over $80.00. Not sure how that happened.
Drove to Augusta from Virginia on Thanksgiving for a social event the next day. Missed traditional Thanksgiving meal with family at home. Agustino's was a welcome replacement. Late request from family for additional places could only be partially accommodated on Open Table. However, a visit to the Maitre 'd the afternoon of the reservation increased the seating from 3 to 6 at the requested time. Service was prompt and attentive. Food was delicious. Enjoyed breakfast buffet there both mornings.
I made a reservation at Augustino's for a lunch with a friend I had not seen for a long time, looking forward to good food in a quiet atmosphere. The atmosphere was quiet. However the food left much to be desired. Although the salmon was fine and well-prepared with a tasty sauce, the shrimp and grits was tasteless and literally floating in visible grease. The caesar salad was overwhelmed with too much dressing; we sent that back and got another one with dressing on the side. Service was fine, not outstanding. If someone were to ask me for a recommendation, I would warn them to take great care and not to order the shrimp and grits.
My biggest downer about our dining experience was the fact that the televisions in the bar were very loud, and they distracted from the expected ambience of the dining experience at a restaurant of this caliber. This is not our first time driving here, and overall we thought the food was adequate, and the service was excellent. However there needs to be some kind of buffer between the bar and the tables.
Took over a hour to get food. One entree had to be sent back because it was over salted. Group was finished eating before replacement entree was brought out. Has to get up twice to get waitress. Coffee and deserts were never offered. Another entree didn’t come with all items. Will not return no matter how convenient.
My sister had eaten there before so on our yearly sisters trip I wanted to go there. Their menu was delightful and could handle my strange dietary needs. The service was excellent, bartenders gracious, and will be going back whenever I get the chance to be in Augusta!
We couldn't have been more pleased. The food, the atmosphere, the wait staff were all wonderful. We made our reservations and your choice of table was perfect. Our family was able to talk, reminisce and hear one another while enjoying lunch. Thank you.
A team of our people are staying at the Marriott at the Convention Center every week for months and that is where this restaurant is located. We've eaten lots of meals there and can always count on it to be good food, good service, at a fair price. We've tried just about everything on the menu with every thing good. Also have been there for lunch which is a great deal. Soup, Salad, and pasta bar where a chef makes your pasta dish from ingredients displayed and you get to pick. What a deal at $13! Thanks staff at the restaurant and hotel for taking good care of us!
We drove into Augusta a little after 9 PM to stay the night on the way to Charleston. We decided not to drive around and find a restaurant on a Monday night at this hour.
To our surprise the restaurant and hotel bar were tied in together and we decided to have our meal at the bar just after 9:30pm. We had the flat bread pizza, calamari and chicken Parmesan.
Everything was prepared well and was better than expected for "hotel food" The pizza was described as a 12 inch flatbread and this thing was at least 16 inches in diameter and very good. The calamari was also well proportioned and was devoured.
We enjoyed it!
The whole experience was fantastic. From the initial greeting through when we walked out. Our server Ryan was very knowledgeable of the menus items and took the best care of us. He was a true professional that obviously cared about his job. The food was amazing in presentation and taste. We had been on the road traveling all day and did not have to worry about anything as our every want and need was addressed. Outstanding venue to eat great Italian food.
It was totally awesome I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who are in love. trying out new relationships or just wanting to be with your friends. the food was awesome the flavors were amazing and you're right by the Waterfront where you can go for a lovely stroll!
Friends came into town and stayed at the Marriott, where the restaurant is located. Easy enough to get there. Greeted appropriately. Not sure why, but specials were never announced to us. Our waitress asked if we wanted the braised rib special when we were looking at the menu. How are we supposed to know? Then when I decided to have the special braised beef, she starts in on another special with soup or salad. Quite frankly, Everything else was great. The service was subpar for the prices on the menu.
I cannot recommend this restaurant. My food came out cold and was sent back only to have the same dish right back to me again. I had a lasagna and I would've thought they would've brought out new plate. What they brought back look like lasagna soup. The manager did stop by to say he was sorry but offered no compensation.
The table was set nicely. Water already there. The environment was clean and neat.
Our waitress was nice and had appropriate professional skills. The food was enjoyable
by most of the group report. One person said her sandwich was cold. The environment
was not noisy. We all enjoyed everything basically and would definitely want to
book this room again.
We've dined at Augustino's several times and the food and service have always been very good. However, the restaurant needs some updating and cleaning. Woodwork and carpeting look worn. It was amazing in that we were there the week after the Master's and the windows looked like they haven't been cleaned in months. The facility needs updating and brightening.
Our overall experience was great but my husband ordered the prone rissoto and the prones were very good but the rissoto was extremely dry ...Like a clump of yellow rice...That being said my NY strip was cooked to perfection ..And the asparagus and Brussels were off the chain ...So yes OK woit recommend this place just maybe NOT the rissoto
The veal piccata was excellent. However, getting a table for 5PM was not happening with Open Table, so I settle for 2:30 PM.. Yes, the place is close at that time. It was great that the manager realize this and allow us to eat at 5PM.. The only problem was only about two tables were occupied at that time, yet I couldn't get a reservation for 5PM through Open Table. What goes with that?
