The food and the service are always impeccable lately.

Long narrow restaurant, noisy, best for groups.

For what we paid($100 for 2), it was not a good value. Ordered med steak- overcooked, potatoes -under cooked, wrong order placed by waiter for second meal, wait was long to remake food. Recvd a dessert to comp, and top was burnt and tasted terrible. Seating is very close to other guests and there is absolutely no privacy of conversation at all. Wait staff attentive, but we dont need to over hear conversations about staff schedules and a no show employees.

My fiancé and I were visiting from out of town and just took a shot in the dark after reading some reviews. Everything was phenomenal. Service was great. Bottle of wine we had was good and $22. Flatbread appetizer was awesome. For entrees we had the ribeye and swordfish. Steak was perfectly cooked and tender, swordfish very good as well. Whole experience was great top to bottom. The entrees were somewhat pricey, but we had ordered specials. Good downtown location as well. Overall, I would definitely return and recommend to anyone visiting the area who wants to go out for a nicer dinner.

Enjoyed this restaurant and the food choices offered. I went on a Tuesday and happened across the 1/2 price bottle of wine offer (on select wines). I did NOT drink it all and they packaged it up in a sealed bag to take home. I will be back.

Augie’s is one of our favorites and our AZ visitors love it now too. So it was our first dinner reservation when they came to town. What a great meals - salmon, steak, burgers - everybody was happy. Yummy salads and beverages too. And a new waitress - Melissa did a GREAT job and we hope she is our server again.

Great discovery! Used to fine dining options in Chicago, augie’s was a most pleasant surprise.

I had never had bouillabaisse. Our waiter, Gabe, recommended it. It was fantastic! Decor is pretty ordinary. Wait staff did a good job.

The "shut-up and eat" special of seafood risotto was delicious. Service was friendly and professional. We were able to catch-up and enjoy a lovely lunch.

Food, service and wine was great. Our server was very knowledgeable.

Augie’s was prepared. Nice VD menu, friendly service & 4 outstanding meals.
The guys had steak, the girls had fish. Nothing disappointing.

Great food two nights in a row!

The reservation included a nice bouquet of flowers for my date that were ready at our table. Hostess then ask us if we would like to move to a quieter corner table that had a little more room, which we obliged. My date had the beef stroganoff and I had the seafood bouillabaisse. Both were excellently prepared. Great environment, prompt and professional staff, and an awesome kitchen.

Our server, Gabe, was amazing! Get the crispy goat cheese salad & creme brulee. You will not be disappointed!

Great food, especially the mushroom papardelle. Service was excellent on a busy night, and a wide ranging wine list. Overall a pleasant and relaxing dining experience.

Environment leaves something to be desired but food and service more than make up for it. Would recommend.

Love this place. I have never had a bad meal here. Never rushed, always relaxed fine dining. Menu is versatile and unique, always changing with the seasons to reflect local ingredients. If you have my tried it, I highly recommend the Signature Crispy Goat Cheese Salad. Yummo! Making me hungry!!!

Disappointed in the food and the menu. I had previously been to Augie’s for special occasions due to the unique menu and delicious food. The grouper was the best and no longer on the menu. The entree I ordered was very salty and the dessert didn’t appear to be cooked completely. Expensive meal not worth the price.

I had the steak special. The steak was cooked perfect. The steak had an excellent taste to it. The waiter checked on us to see if we needed anything however, he did not make a pest of himself. You must try the feta salad I think it was called. It was very unique with a breaded and then fried disk of feta. The dressing was very good. I usually have my dressing on the side, however I forgot to mention it. I felt it had a little bit too much dressing for me. It was very tasty and light. Very good.

Delicious food (locally sourced in many cases), creatively presented. A dining experience aesthetically pleasing to both eye and palate.

Always my first choice for fine dining in Springfield. Worked for Augie for several years so know pretty much all there is to know about the operation and everything is always right. The best, freshest ingredients prepared and served with skill and care. I have no reason to believe this will ever change.

Our dinner on New Year's Eve was great--so glad you were open on that Sunday. The place was hopping, but not noisy or hectic (at least for the customers). The staff members were all helping each other out, making for a very good experience for diners. The giant balloons were beautiful!

I have been here on a number of occasions and the food and service is consistently outstanding ! It is our favorite place to go to in Springfield .

We enjoyed a great family meal here while visiting Springfield. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was fantastic as was my roast chicken. The service was prompt but not too invasive. Ages 13 - 75 were very pleased with their meals. The environment is warm and friendly. Cocktails were great. Highly recommend.

Had the daily special ribeye, which was delicious. The staff were all hoping there would be some left in the kitchen for their dinners!

Food was excellent and our server was one of the best ever. Augie's is always a good place to eat and to talk.

Not knowing what to expect, walking in I felt that old school steakhouse vibe. Christmas decorations up and music playing which was nice but overall ambience was lacking. The service was good. Servers were knowledgeable and verbiage was upscale. Menu was small but very creative. I had the salmon and definitely would order that again. Thanks for the experience!

Once again we brought friends to Augies and we all enjoyed the evening. The ladies appreciated the smaller portions available with the Thrifty Thursday options. And the guys can still order from the regular menu. The food is outstanding with many dishes very comparable to upscale dining in Chicago or St. Louis. And Gabe gave us great service, answering menu questions and keeping things running smoothly. We’ll be back.

Our food was excellent and prepared as we like it. Our dinner companion had a food allergy and her need was met graciously. The wine list was good and we had a very good Cabernet. Our server Sarah was attentive but did not hover. Excellent service
