Good not have had any better experience. Can’t wait to have an excuse to go back
Tasting menu w pairing was excellent. The view is unbeatable. Highly recommend!
Maggie did a great job. Great food and service and view. I love this place.
The view is AMAZING. Lovely place for a leisurely lunch with good food and wine.
Best view in Napa, amazing food and service.
As always, Auberge has outdone itself. This was my first time dining for lunch and everything was perfect. The food, the wine pairings, and the ambiance were all exactly what I have come to expect from this establishment.
We had the 4 course with wine pairings. A couple of the courses were wonderful.
If this is the best Napa has to offer, Napa needs to go back to school. It feels like Auberge might be trading on the views to make up for a lackluster kitchen. We both had the tasting menu. Amuse bouche was forgettable and tepid corn soup. First course consisted of Osetra caviar on an undercooked sliced potato. 2nd course of scallop which was delicious (especially the broth) but marred by...sand! Third course of averagely prepared veal sweetbread cakes paired with meh poached pear salad. Fourth course of insanely salty quail. Fifth course of insanely salty bacon-wrapped veal. Delicious palate cleanser of a cucumber and ginger drink, followed by an ok dessert with strawberry ice cream and a delightful basil foam as the two highlights. So, 6.5 courses and the only good items were a broth accompanying the scallop and the basil foam with dessert. Every item looks good on paper but unfortunately it reads better than it tastes. Will not return.
I chose this restaurant for a very special occasion, to propose marriage to my female companion, and both Auberge du Soleil and my now fiance did not disappoint. I got the corner table I had hoped for and reserved several months in advance, from where we watched the sunset between the mountains and the full moon arising over our backs just as I made my proposal. Our view of the valley below was breathtaking. The setting could not have been more perfect, just as I had hoped, and to top it off, she said "yes".
The staff was very accommodating in helping me carry out my plan for the evening. Our head waiter, Blaze, I kid you not, whom I had alerted, had obviously alerted the others, and he took some photos of us as I made my proposal, between the main course and the dessert. When the dessert arrived, after our romantic climax, the photo says it all, with a very special way to capture the moment. They had also turned on the overhead heater to take the slight chill off the October evening.
And, oh yes, the food was the perfect compliment to the experience. It was all deliciously prepared and tastefully presented. I had the pumpkin soup and she the halibut crudo as appetizers, we shared the local lamb and potato gnocchi as our main courses, both excellent, and the desserts, seen in full splendor in the images, topped off our culinary delights, which had started off with fresh bread and also included several complimentary gustatory interludes.
Kudos to Auberge du Soleil and all of their staff for making this experience one we will never forget, and starting our future together in the best way possible!
Auberge du Soleil was recommended by friends and it definitely fits the bill for a very special occasion. I would actually recommend trying to get there on the early side (unless you are going in summer) so you can enjoy the GORGEOUS view before it slips into dusk. Service was attentive, our server quite knowledgeable, the food fresh and creative. They were aware it was our 15th wedding anniversary and made it very special. A home run!
It was our first time to dine in this restaurant. We usually go to the city. We were very impressed by the way staff provided us with their full attention. Although we were there late in the evening yet the lights from the distance created a very serene ambiance.
Amazing view. Service was impeccable. The duck was out of this world.
A perennial favorite not to be missed. This year’s indulgence included four other friends, bringing the overall experience to new heights. But truly, whether dining as a couple or with other loved ones, Auberge du Soleil always provides.
Much more crowded than a few years ago.
Tables very close together. Had to move in several times for wIt staff to serve adjacent table.
Felt rushed to turn table. Order everything at once.
Hot under roof outside.
Service staff worked hard but not gracious.
Made booking months in advance and was overall disappointed.
Not as special as it once was.
Great experience. Great service
Everything was great - except the price. But since you know the price going in, one shouldn't complain. However, $400 for 2 - especially since we each only had 1 glass of wine to drink, is a little pricey, even for this exceptional restaurant.
The view if tge valley is spectacular, however the food is so well prepared and presented. Excellent!
Restaurant was extremely overpriced for what we received. The service was excellent and the ambiance was great.
The view was unmatched!
Still, value was not there.
It doesn’t really matter because the restaurant was to capacity!
Worth going at least once. Be prepared to pay a premium!
Just go! They have this down!
A lovely lunch on the terrace, with a lovely view. It wasn't the hottest day, so we opted for a table in the sun. It was perfect. The service was excellent, not ostentatious or snobby, as some higher-end restaurants can be. And the food was delicious. I would definitely return.
Amazing view, delicious food!!
It is wonderful experience for the lunch. The oysters are very fresh with full of sea water. The fried chicken is very delicious especially the super crisp skin. Pork chop should be cooked by slowly low temperature, the sweat sauce quite nice. The most stunning one is the shrimp salad..... mixed with fruits, Vegetables and awesome sauce....
The view from the balcony is breathtaking and the service could not have been better. Portions are smaller and for that reason, I gave it less on the value. Will definitely go back for a special occasion.
Bday dinner evening. Always love the view and ambiance. Food was good but not as great as our last meal there.
Wonderful dining experience. Excellent food and beautiful ambiance.
Food was excellent. Took a long time to get noticed by waitstaff once we were seated. We felt a little bit "forgotten" in a corner of the room. Waitstaff was polite, but seemed a little disinterested. It was a late evening reservation, so perhaps everyone was tired and ready to be off work?
We enjoyed the chefs tasting menu with wine pairing. It was an amazing meal on the beautiful patio. Service was excellent!
Best food I've ever tasted. Service was phenomenal and the view was spectacular!
Wonderful restaurant with fabulous food and beautiful view. The staff was amazing too!
Very nice place. We have been here twice and this time is to celebrate my wife’s Birthday. We enjoyed our time here and the food, drink and the gorgeous view!
Our actual waiter barely came to the table.
Once again the Meal, view and service was award winning . Arrived 45 minutes early to catch the sunset and they accommodated us and seated us early . Truly I wonderful dining experience .
It is such a special place with a magnificent view!
Returned after several years and found
Auberge du Soleil still to be a 5⭐️ Establishment.
Staff, Food, Ambiance Impeccable!
Very beautiful location (5 stars) and view, and very good service. But the food did not have the oomph that I expect from a 1-star michelin restaurant. The management was going through the motions and did not have the buy-in to the restaurant/brand that I have seen in other places.
Perfect view. Excellent michelin star worthy restaurant
Food and service were excellent. Portions are on the smaller side but everything was outstanding.
Very affordable Michelin Star Restaurant. Beautiful view and great food and service....
Joe our very attentive server was fantastic. Spot on with the recommendations!
