The view is amazing. But we had a few problems. One was the only reservation available was at 7:30 or 8 am. When we got there the restaurant was EMPTY. They could have easily accommodated a 9 or 9:30 reservation. They were sweet and acknowledged our anniversaries with a pastry with “Happy Anniversary” on it. My friend had a piece of metal shaving in his food. It was replaced and comped which was nice. The omelettes we had were bland. Then the waitress accidentally filled my friend’s Bloody Mary glass with iced tea. We laughed about the whole thing and we were comped. If not for the view and nice servers it would have been a bust.
Top 10 all time meal
The experience to having lunch in AUBERGE DU SOLETL is FANTASTIC for sure. We came at the weekdays, so we can’t order the brunch menu.
My friend and I ordered GNOCCHI, BURRATA for the first course. MARKET SALAD for the Appetizer. And AHI TUNA and RAVIOLI for the main course. Also, we have the sweet wine for drinking.
All the dishes are WONDERFUL except BURRATA. Personally, we don’t like the taste of BURRATA. Highly recommend AHI TUNA and RAVIOLI, which are ours favorite.
Service is absolutely FANTASTIC. Servers are SUPER NICE and professional. They alway give u some useful suggestions. Taking care of ours every time.
During our lunch time, one server had the wrong dish for us. Then!!!! The server- a young lady took care of our dessert in the bill!!!!!!
The view is the best!!!! We have the table outside and everything is awesome.
Highly Recommend !!!!!!
We spend 85 ( including the tips) per person
Having dined here several times, i highly recommend Auberge. The good is always great, the staff are very attentive, and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. We will keep coming back in the future.
Fantastic food in a beautiful setting ! The staff were very attentive and accommodating to different food needs
Flawless brunch. $75 for three delicious courses. There for 2-1/2 hrs. Beautiful valley views. Terrific wine list. Our server David was friendly and informative.
Everything was superb for the most part. There was a noisy party of four close to our table and it was somewhat distracting and another couple asked to be moved because of it. We remained where we were. It is difficult to have tables separated enough for the noise level to be extremely low. We understand that. Alcohol was involved so that made the difference. I loved everything else and will go back again!!
Quail salad, lobster salad and scallops! Fabulous!
We enjoyed a rainy Valentines Day lunch. The quail salad was excellent; and large enough to be shared as a starter. Sunchoke soup was well prepared but could have used a little more depth of flavor. Seared ahi tuna was very good. The butternut squash ravioli was maybe the best version of that dish we’ve ever had. We also enjoyed the two chocolate desserts. Service was excellent. The room is tasteful and understated, maybe a little sedate for some.
Excellent service and food
Service is impeccable. We went for Sunday brunch; value for the quality of food is so worth it for a Michelin star restaurant.
Wonderful evening at Auberge. We were celebrating a birthday. We were greeted warmly at the desk. Service was personal and attentive. Food was excellent. Attention was paid to my wife's egg allergy. Wine was excellent. Room was comfortable and noise level was low. We were able to enjoy quiet conversation and appreciate the food and the overall experience. We enjoy our occasional visits to Auberge when we visit Napa, and we are always impressed.
Wonderful outside seating. Good for hangout and celebration. Food were amazing.
Everything was fantastic except the lobsters omelette that my husband ordered was not very good. The lobster was not fresh and tasted weird. My prawn risotto was ok, nothing outstanding. Too bad since I expected more from Michelin Star restaurant:(
Unbelievable ambiance. Incredibly skilled and personable servers. Fine, fine food. The patio at lunch is a truly wonderful experience.
What a fabuloussss lunch. The setting and day were beyond perfect. The food Devine!! And getting to meet Chef the icing on the cake
The service at Auberge was above and beyond what I expected. Being a Napa local, you hear a lot of hype about certain places/restaurants, and this definitely lived up to the hype. I went in for restaurant week and had a two-course meal of Grilled Little Gem and Sonoma Chicken. Probably the best salad (with a ton of burrata) and beautifully cooked chicken I’ve ever had. Joseph was our server and he was always there when we needed something and a great person overall to chat with. I’m looking forward to going back and trying what else they have to offer after such an amazing experience!
Absolutely exceeded all my expectations. Delicious food, beautiful view, impeccable service. Highly recommended!
I had a lettuce salad with butternut squash and shrimp rissotto.
Great value for lunch special.
Wine pairing with it was good.
This is supposed to be a stellar restaurant and it was when they first opened many years ago. The quality of the food has been up and down since then but I had recently heard that the food was excellent again. This time we were a party of eight having brunch and we all experinced that the food was mediochre which was a disgrace and a big disappointment, given their reputation. I will not go there again.
The experience was great, the food was delicious, and the views were AMAZING.
We celebrated our 16th anniversary here for lunch and was seated at a table outside with a perfect view of the valley. Our waiter was attentive and the food was very good. The Shrimp risotto was my favorite. We brought a bottle and the corkage fee was $40. But if you purchase another bottle (which you may take home) they will waive the corkage fee.
Food was excellent! My husband ordered the crab salad, it was refreshing and delicious. My daughter ordered the quail salad and she loved it. I had the wild shrimp risotto and it was just perfect. The view is beautiful even on a rainy day. Blaze, our waiter, was courteous and efficient. Definitely will come back. 👍👍👍
Spectacular view with food that is extremely overpriced.
Send out our reservation was made for a fixed price menu at 2 PM a brunch? That was weird they had to re-seat us in the bar.
We are big fans and have been there 7 or 8 times. It's the go to Michelin star but not snobby experience in Napa. Braised pork brunch entree is a stand out.
One small criticism: the lobster omelette presented as rather dry. It was crying out for some additional sauce or element to bring it all together.
The omelette side of hearts of palm was bland. It is true that lobster is delicate and hard to pair well without overwhelming it, but this omelette was just not up to the usual very high standard.
I offer this to be helpful as we love the restaurant.
We had an amazing breakfast with awesome views. Highly recommend this special way to begin your day.
Simply spectacular - the view, the service, the food all outstanding. The pricing makes it a special occasional place, but it will not disappoint!
Excellent experience all around. Even the weather cooperated! The food preparation was perfect. Great flavors. Eric's service was top notch. We sat on the outdoor deck, with an incredible view of the Napa Valley, below.
This may become our New Year's Eve lunch tradition!
Amazing view and great food!
I wanted an amazing experience for our 5 year anniversary dinner. I was so impressed with every aspect of our night, from our welcome to our dessert. The only regret I had was eating so much bread because I almost didn’t have room for dessert. Almost but of course I did. They seated us next to the fireplace per our request and it was so beautiful. So happy we decided to come to this beautiful restaurant.
Has gone down hill. Interior furnishings are tired. People eating are dressed in jeans and sweatshirts. Service is slow and they no longer pass out auderves. There are flies all over the place that land in your $100 wine that you have to bring from home as their wine list looks like it is from Trader Joe's. For a $150 per person established they should not allow screaming children with raddlers. With all the better options in Napa Valley we will not return.
Had a Christmas Day lunch with my family at Auberge du Soleil. For $150/pp we were expecting something special, but unfortunately very disappointed. The food and services were at most mediocre. My main dish, liberty farms duck, came out lukewarm, almost cold, and taste rubbery. The quality of the food is not even worth half of the price. We were seated inside, so we asked a waitress, is there a place outside in the patio we could get to and take some pictures of the view, and she said: “I am not sure.” :(
Food and service were great. They offer wine tasting by half glass. Chef also brought complimentary food and drinks for us to try.
Extraordinary; outstanding; met every superlative opinion we had ever heard about Auberge. We will continue to express our compliments about it whenever we can. We had Christmas Eve dinner there, and it was A+ for all the right reasons: food-perfection, service-perfection; ambiance-quiet class. For us, Auberge is top of the line. We will be returning for sure.
Perfect as it is every holiday season
beautiful setting, great brunch menu, staff was great, great Napa location. we'll be back
Caviar and foie were delicious and the wagyu was the clear highlight of the evening. Yellowtail was too salty and almost sent back but just left it. Table next to windows was a bit chilly and guests next to us kept complaining of fruit flies. Yes it is wine country but still a shame to have flies in your drink/food. Our server was a bit scattered and talkative; we had multiple people asking the same question about our wine or bread so a bit uncoordinated, especially for a Michelin-starred restaurant. The value just wasn’t there for the price when factoring in the spotty service and culinary misses. Otherwise would be willing to try again if they fix some of the issues.
