Outstanding once again. Auberge doesn't disappoint!
Spectacular views and wonderful service. Auberge du Soeil is a fantastic escape with lovely views of napa valley. Quiet and beautiful, it is the perfect place for lunch. Ask for a table on the terrace and expect great food and a very helpful waitstaff. Just bring some muscles to lift the huge wine list!
The food is very very good. The lunch menu is a bit inconsistent, with some choices real interesting creations and other more fit for a light "relaxed" lunch "Provence Style" without proper signaling, but the ambiance is perfected for those seeking quality respite from wine tasting day.
The staff was exremely attentive, the food was excellent, & the view from the patio was perfection! I would highly recommend this restaurant to all who visit Napa Valley.
Nothing but good things to say. Great food, impeccable service, amazing wine list. After a weekend of wine tasting, I had the best glass of the trip there.
This high end Wine Country resort/restaurant is just about as good as it gets in the Napa Valley. The food is superb, if expensive, with generous sized portions of both the starter courses and entrees, a creative and flexible 3/4/5 course menu, or a rather elegant tasting menu. The service is very polished and professional, and the views off the terrace at sunset simple cannot be beaten. Highly recommended for big splurgers. Impressive wine list also.
We were very disappointed with the quality of the food- it was mediocre at best, which is absolutely unacceptable at that price point (and in a restraunt that boast such high ratings). The service was also incredibly stiff and overbearing. At many points we felt rushed through our 4-course meal. They were continually overfilling our wine glasses and trying to clear our plates before we were finished. As a result, the over-service made us feel unwelcome adn uncomfortable- the table beside us left midway through their meal! The saving grace is the gorgeous view, however, I would recommend one just eat at the more casual lounge that shares the patio. We were extremely disappointed with the meal- certainly doesn't live up to it's reputation.
We just want to thank Auberge for an incredibly wonderful experience. We have both been to Auberge before so expectations were high but,if possible, they outdid themselves. Auberge responded to my request for a special table because we were re-connecting after a separation of many years by giving us what was clearly their best patio table, overlooking the Napa valley. That was followed by fantastic food and impeccable service. Our very important occasion was made memorable by our time with Auberge.
Absolutley beautiful and the food was amazing!
The view was beautiful but that didn't make up for overtly pretentious food but I suppose you cater for your market and by the looks of the majority of clientele they were busy with their looks as opposed to the quality of the food. I suggest you take a quick look at the view and find yourself somewhere decent for food. Let's face it there are plenty of places to choose from in Napa.
It was a great way to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary!
While the service was formal in training, they did not provide anything close to what "service" actually means. The food preparations were elegant and used exclusively high quality ingredients, but the overall dishes were nothing spectacular, especially compared to what is available in the area.
The view is phenomenal, and the wine list is huge. Definitely worth a stop if you can make it, but maybe just grab a drink on the patio in the afternoon.
The food was good. I especially like the lobster appetizer. The service was a little slow. My husband and I enjoyed the ambiance and view of the restaurant.
of course this place as the view and everyhting else ! my risotto was not the best ever but with the outstanding service, the good wine and the view, everything else is just a bonus
Amazing experience. Extremely expensive (2 couples $600 with just 1 bottle of wine) but the food is amazing and creative, the service is exemplary, and the view is out of this world. So even though it's pricey, if you can afford it, it's well worth every penny. And happily, they seem to cater to small groups (2 or 4) on their outdoor deck and keep the larger parties indoors so as not to spoil the romance of it all. Outstanding experience!
1st visit - looking forward to returning for the early seating and the magnificent view from the patio.
We enjoyed our meal and the view was great on a clear day. Not crazy about the variety of waiters -- one for each chore, it seemed -- and the recitation of what was on our plates after each delivery. Seventeen dollars for a Manhattan seems steep to me, but if the occasion warrants it, a nice memory can be made here.
Amazing food and of course the unbeatable view of the valley. The most romanatic view in the wine country
I loved this restaurant! The view, ambience and food was fantastic! I will be back!
I am picky- it was the best in every category, food good not have been better, service was excellent , ambiance-quiet, romantic. Absolutely perfect, worth every penny and it is a lot of pennies, so bring a lot of money !
Just amazing in every aspects. View, Food, Service. If you are asking someone to marry you, this is the right place.
Although we missed the sunset and view, we had a delicioius and very enjoyable evening. My daughter said " this is the best lamb I have ever had " and we live in England !
The staff were extrenmely polite and helpful and I would thoroughly recommend L'Auberge as a destination .
We had a great lunch in the trerrace. The food and wine were special. Amazing place. Fabio&Sara
Impeccable view, service, and food. Sat outside on terrace with perfect weather and stunning view.
Everything was amazing and all staff were so attentive, as well. Ate the corn soup, shrimp risotto, and fig bread pudding-all amazing!
A few pompous guests were seated on both sides of us, but that is no fault of Auberge.
One of the best meals/dining experiences that I have ever had.
Will definitely return and for me, it lived up to-and surpassed-the hoopla surrounding it.
everything was great
Although this is a michelin rated restaurant, the food was good but certainly not spectacular. The portions are minuscule, so order the 4 course if u dont want to leave hungry. Lovely view, but there are much better places to dine.
We tried their tasting menu with wine pairing. Very impressive food and excellent wine choices. Service and ambience impeccable. Highly recommend as one of the dinner places in Napa. We arrived late so unfortunately could only see a bit of the vinyards surrounding the place. The view should be magnificant during the day / before sunset.
Auberge has the most spectacular view, for a romantic lunch or early dinner, in Napa Valley. Combine that with truly inspiring food nd you can only say I do! (want desert). The weekend brunch for $58, includes 3 courses and a cocktail to start, it an amazing buy for such a sumptuous experience.
If you want to have a sure hit -- then hit Auberge Du Soleil!
Great food but even better views of Napa Valley.
A gem in every way. Outstanding food and service great attention to detail Outside dining should not be missed. A place to love and fall in love.
Very good food and outstanding scenic view, obligatory valet parking, very high prize
Great for dinner, not as good for lunch. Dinner food is outstanding, lunch is good. Same for service. Wonderful ambiance and the best views of aby Napa Valley restaurant.
Lunch oysters were apparently shucked in advance and covered in ice, making them watery, with little character. Sommelier did not have an "Ah So" cork puller, so we had to help him extract an old cork from the rare magnum we brought. Other aspects of the lunch were good and will continue to return for the overall quality.
The food was not quite as impressive as I typically expect from an establishment with this type of reputation. The veal shortbreads, for example, were a downright disappointing course, with the only real flavor coming from the shortbread itself. White corn soup was a curious appetizer in that the panko coated oyster served with it was impossibly tiny and the actual soup, although presented very nicely, was bland. Very accommodating service. Great wine list. The views from our patio seats were incomparable...and make up for the most average of meals.
We were celebrating a special anniversary dinner, but felt as if our table was too close to the couple next to us. Felt somewhat trapped - couldn't access the downstairs area, the grounds, etc. The views from the terrace were very beautiful, but didn't like feeling trapped. The food was good, but have had better - I don't remember what I had for dinner (obviously not memorable). And of course, it's way overpriced for the portions and the food, which was good but not great.
Outstanding dining experience. Food, service and ambiance all first class. The wait staff made you feel most comfortable. The menu like the food was creative and exciting. The view from the patio overlooking the Napa Valley was exceptional. One of the most beautiful and relaxing dining experiences in my like.
Excellent restaurant, from the view, the ambience, and especially the food. Every detail is thought through, and was one of the most incredible dinners I've ever had, in almost every way possible! Highly recommend if you go to Napa!!
My overall review would have been a 4 if the price tag wasn't so high (almost $600 for 2 of us, tasting menu with wine pairings, including tip and tax.). For that much money I expect one of the best meals I've ever had, not a 6 course meal with some good and some mediocre courses. I also expect small portions on a tasting menu, but their 3-5 course price fix regular menu was less expensive (even the 5 course) with much larger portions. Ambiance and service were outstanding, no problem there. While in Napa this week we've had much better food at much less expensive restaurants, and we're foodies so I don't mean fast food.
Speaking with some locals after our meal, they recommended Auberge for lunch, brunch or a drink, to enjoy the scenery
We had an amazing dining experience here. The gnocchi appetizer with wild mushrooms, pea shoots & summer truffles has quickly moved into my top 10 all time best dishes, & we have eaten at some amazing restaurants. I highly recommend it. Kathy was our server and she was fantastic! We'd definitely go back!
We are returning Auberge customers and the service, ambience and location has never waivered. A beautiful location, great food, spa and just all over a great place to be. We are returning in September for our anniversary...highly recommend it for couples who want a great getaway - the rooms are so beautiful with private balconies and the restaurant is up high with a great view of the valley..
very mediocre food, it was so bland and boring that the amazing server we had agreed and comped the whole meal.
