Beautiful view on the deck. The food was absolutely incredible. We had the chicken, gnocchi, halibut crudo and risotto. The risotto was one of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend
Beautiful views overlooking Napa Valley at sunset paired with fine wines and food.
We had an incredible time and ate incredible food. At this point, I would just be nit picky but we got sat in the sunniest table on a 95+ degree evening. Unfortunately, blocking the sun would have been out of their control. Also, both me and my partner didn’t quite enjoy the sweet bread but that’s just our personal preference. Everything was cooked to perfection and made my tastebuds dance. We also received a few small surprises, compliments of the chef, for our anniversary which was an extra pleasant touch. Obviously, this restaurant is pricey so “value” isn’t the goal here. That being said, we were absolutely satiated after the 6 course tasting menu. TIP: Ask about walking the premises to see the sculpture garden. It’s a nice was to wind down after a great meal.
The worst service. It was a special occasion having my daughter visit from the east coast. If not for the good quality, I would have demanded for a complete refund.
The weekend brunch menu was fabulous! The view from the patio was so peaceful and the perfect location to experience the three course brunch.
Fantastic view. They provide so warm and nice welcoming. Even if I arrived 30 minutes more earlier that reservation time, they give us the reserved table with a nice view. They made us so impressed celebrating our anniversary on our dessert!
Very up scale restaurant. This was the dinning highlight of our week in Napa. Very pricey but, worth the price. Great food and service with an outstanding is of the valley. Service was attentive but, not rushed. A very special restaurant.
Wife’s 40th BD
Incredible food, service and stunning views. So serene!
Perfection as always.
The very driest chicken I have ever had. Really, I couldn't eat it.
My husband and I each ordered the 3 course menu. The corn chowder was fine. Not special, but fine. After our soup bowls were cleared we waited 20 minutes for our next course. After 15 minutes I stopped a server to remind her that we were still waiting. Several minutes later, as she passed, the server told us that our lunch would arrive soon.
Finally our second course arrived. The very driest chicken I have ever encountered. My husband had an identical chicken order, and his was juicy and excellent. We ate his and left mine. No one came by to see why I wasn't eating my chicken. When we were finished and a server came to clear the plates offered to replace my meal. But by that time we had finished our wine and just wanted to move on. So I ordered coffee to go with my dessert.
The dessert sorbet arrived promptly and began to melt while we waited for coffee. A server came by and asked how the sorbet was. I reminded her that we were still waiting for coffee. It only took her another 5 minutes to arrive with coffee. The sorbet was good.
This was my 4th visit to your restaurant. The previous visits were wonderful.
Beautiful, elegant lunch with a magnificent view!
Our server John was excellent Elizabeth was very good and suggesting.
beautiful views...we were lucky that we had wonderful weather so sitting outside was even more enjoyable. Food is great...and service was very friendly and relaxed pace without it being overly slow...perfect for a day in Napa.
Love, love, love, love, loved it! Delicious food and wonderful view. The service by Joe was perfect. I want to live there!
Amazing experience at Auberge. The service was everything- each person there was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive.
The food was amazing- you can’t go wrong with any of the menu options. And the view was exactly what you are looking for when traveling to Napa.
We will absolutely come back again!
Could not have wished for a better dining experience.
Dinning here was the absolute best experience we have ever had, from the courteous knowledgeable staff to the incredibly delicious food. We will be dining here again on our next visit to Napa Valley !
A must for a sophisticated lunch. Portions are a little small for some of the dishes but, the presentation and the service was impeccable. We loved it.
The ambiance at Auberge du Soleil is superb! Our favorite combination of outdoor space, nature, view and comfort. We were married at Auberge 19 years ago so have additional fond memories and attachment to this venue. This many years later, have yet to view a location we would have preferred to share with family and friends on that special day!
Earlier in our marriage, we returned each year on our Anniversary to enjoy the view, the memories and the delectable food. Unfortunately, we had not enjoyed the pleasure of a meal here for many years so I surprised my husband with a trip to Napa for this purpose on our Anniversary a few days ago.
The ambiance continues to delight and the view will still take your breath away! However, the service was not quite on par as in the past. Perhaps a week night when new employees were being trained contributed to this factor, but it did create a less perfect meal experience. I don't think any of the courses were delivered to the correct person by the two differing assistants - very minor problem - and the descriptions of the dishes were not clearly stated. Not major failure but a little blip with each course delivered.
Only one dish was disappointing. The lamb was cooked medium+ instead of the rare/medium rare as requested. Unfortunately, by the time the medium rare arrived, my dinner companions were nearly finished with their respective meals. On top of that, the second lamb had so much tendonous/gristle to it that when attempting to cut it, the salad on the plate sprayed across the table not once, but twice. I gave up on the lamb... Kindly, the main/competent waitstaff person recommended I try the beef instead which was, of course, perfectly cooked and delicious. I fully appreciated the main dish so expertly prepared, but again, was eating alone at this point so shared my remaining dinner. (Quite frankly, I was stuffed by then so this was absolutely fine.)
Gorgeous venue, tasty food - yes, we will return!
Outstanding food. Outstanding service. Outstanding view. Top notch all around.
Our experience each time is AMAZING! The food's great. The service is understated, casual but professional. Love it!
Our June Sunday Brunch for $75.00 on the deck at Auberge was exquisite! Gorgeous lush green valley view, amazing 3 course meal ~ each with a handful of choices ~ plus a complimentary cocktail. Bring a bottle of wine & corkage is $40. However ~ you can buy a bottle of any wine to take home (like the $38 Auberge de Soleil Rose) & the corkage is then FREE. Service is cheerful, knowledgeable & professional. We will be back soon! *~
A must stop lunch location when in Napa!
Always make it a point to stop by for lunch. Can't beat the service, food and view.
Highly recommend stopping in and enjoying the serene beauty of Napa.
This restaurant is as close to perfect as restaurants get. The view, the service, the food, everything exceeded our high expectations.
Auberge du Soleil has it going on! Fabulous experience from the cuisine to the service to the ambiance. Wouldn't change anything.
Simply amazing views and food. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Shout out to Kathy our waitress. If you are in the Napa Valley and wanting to spend a special night out, go to Auberge du Soleil!
This was the best dinner experience I’ve ever had. The staff was aware, patient, kind, and very knowledgeable. They knew when it was acceptable to interrupt your conversation and when not to. Highly recommend the experience as it was better than even the nicest places I’ve been in Caribbean, Vegas, Chicago, California. The price is high but justifiable with the attention to detail on plates, staff, and overall ambiance. Food is unique but bold, tasty, each plate is beautiful.
Auberge du Soleil was exactly as expected. Beautiful food, excellent service and incredible views. Was a great way to top off our already excellent couple of nights in Napa Valley. A must for anyone looking for exceptional food, incredible views and great customer service.
The view and service and meal were all outstanding. It made a special anniversary dinner very special
This was my first visit to Auberge du Soleil, even though I visit Napa Valley every year. Request outside seating, since the views are spectacular. Although the menu for lunch is limited in choices, I chose the homemade mozzarella and oven baked peppers. It was amazing, but expensive. For the luncheon course, I chose the homemade Gnocchi appetizer, but requested an entree portion. The tastes were phenomenal, as was the tender gnocchi morsels. The portion size was too small, especially considering the price. However, just the spectacular views made it all worthwhile.
Service was extra special
Everything was excellent, with one exception that was not the fault of the restaurant. We were initially seated next to a table where one of the women at the table was talking very loudly and kept using the F-word. We asked to be moved and the restaurant did so. After that all was great. I mean who goes to a great restaurant and loudly uses a potty mouth that others can here - unfortunately some people have no class.
Auberge du Soleil offers both at tasting menu OR a 3-course menu for a fixed price of $125, which includes an appetizer, first course and main dish. We were under the impression that it was alla carte if you did not do the tasting menu. So we ordered two appetizers and two first courses to split between the two of us, which was plenty of food. We were then pushed to order 2 desserts, "as they are included", which we were confused by. We went ahead and ordered the two and then came to find that our desserts replaced 2 mains in the $125 fixed price. I'm not sure a couple bites of chocolate are equivalent to a steak. When we mentioned it to our server that we were not aware that it was a fixed price and had we known, we would have order 2 mains to make it worth our while, he apologized for miscommunication but made no effort to adjust for it and his mistake. He should have greeted us with an explanation of how the menu worked, and at a minimum have recognized we were not aware when we were confused by why he was pushing 2 desserts. Instead we felt taken advantage of and spent over $30 for a scoop of ice cream. Had we gotten two mains, the $125 price point is acceptable, replacing 2 mains for 2 desserts is absolutely unacceptable.
This was a highlight of our vacation two years in a row. Everything is top notch!
My husband and I came here 24 years ago when we were in California. We came back with our daughter. She said it was one of the best meals she has ever had! Next time we want to stay overnight. Love it hwre
Beautiful setting and wonderful food
Took my mother there for Memorial Day dinner, due to last min booking there were only late times so we thought we would eat a late lunch and make it work and at 8:30 we’d still catch the sunset. Unfortunately they kept us waiting until after 9pm, and others too. Normally wouldnt matter but with an elderly diabetic we were at the point where we were going to have to walk out and find somewhere else. They did apologize but maybe a Resturant of this level could have better planning. It was dark by the time we were seated and missed the sunset.
The staff were attentive to our needs and I choose the Burrata, sweat meat and beef. My mother chose the asparagus soup, sweat meat and the duck.
The food is well presented but I wouldn’t say extraordinary, my main course had a piece of short rib I think off the side that was cold.
The chocolate deserts were fantastically delicious.
The bill was $400 for two people, I think looking at the food and at other restaurants I have eaten at of this level, I have to justify the cost by saying I paid a lot for the view more than the food. I did notice off to the side thru the bar they have another patio overlooking Napa valley with a bistro, I would recommend skipping the main Resturant at that price and eating there for half the price with the same view.
Everything was great. Only issue was we were asked to wait in bar for our table but then were forgotten so when I went to check on status after waiting 45 minutes they were surprised and apologized. We weren’t charged for drinks in the bar so that was a fair service recovery.
Excellent experience. Superb service and excellent food. Pricey but that should not be a surprise. Good value. Ask to sit outside. Beautiful views.
