Food is always amazing. I would go back again and again!
Sophisticated, delicious menu perfect for our BIG SPLURGE dinner adventure. My husband and I both had the Alsace region tasting menu which was 7 courses each timed perfectly, presented beautifully, and the taste was delectable. The wine pairing option provided 5 glasses of wine including sparkling wine, 2 whites, a red, and a dessert wine. The atmosphere was warm and romantic and while we didn't need to be as fancy as we were dressed (which we had chosen because it was a special night for us) we didn't feel out of place in a dress and suit. The cost matches the quality so don't come for a cheap meal. Enjoy as we did!!
Perfection. The ambience is amazing. The food and service outstanding. Very high end. Romantic.
Very nice and cozy place. We got excellent table next to wood burning fireplace. Excellent food. Worth it If you want to experience food, an not just have dinner.
Fancy dinner for special occasions. The service was excellent - very friendly staff and servers. The food was great. We really enjoyed their appetizers (loved the foie gras and tartare) and desserts. It is on the expensive end.
My evening started off on the right foot by being warmly greeted by Maître d'hotel, Joel Centeno, who apologized for my last experience and reassured me that this time it would be what I'm accustomed to having which is a relaxing and enjoyable meal.
Each member of the waitstaff that I personally dealt with were both courteous and professional to me with special kudos to my pleasant and knowledgeable server, Krista, who more than made up for the service from last time.
I never had an issue with how good the food tasted, it was the pacing of my meal that was my biggest issue--I felt rushed and very unwelcomed receiving 3 out of 5 dishes within 30 minutes of ordering!--HOWEVER on this occasion Chef Malcolm and his team were on track with my server and executed perfectly the timing and pacing of each dish.
From splurging/indulging in the Acadian Caviar with blini and traditional garnishes to all the other dishes I had, I could taste the love and hard work that went into each plate served. It was nice being able to savour and enjoy each beautifully presented and delicious dish.
The wine pairings that Joel chose for me to go with my dishes complemented them beautifully with my favourite pairing between the Chateau Eugenie Cahors Malbec and the Côte de Bœuf. Just perfect.
My ONLY disappointment was that I could not make room for one of Chef's decadent desserts nor have a cheese course from what looked like an amazing selection to choose from!
I admire that Auberge du Pommier was so willing to turn that bad experience I had, completely erase it from my memory and replace it with this phenomenal one. And while I do know I was given extra attention because of last time, it also proved in my eyes that what happened at NYE was an anomaly and NOT what this restaurant promises to deliver.
Thank you for a wonderful evening. I will definitely be back.
The quality of the food was excellent. The quantity was more than adequate. Our waitress was knowledgable and spent plenty of time describing the cuisine and answering questions.
It was great. Only thing, I was treating my mother for her birthday, and requested something for her birthday. When the cake came it said “Happy Anniversary” instead of Happy Birthday.. Everything else was good.
One of our fav toronto restaurants been coming for 25 yrs. my wife asked for decaf express love and was mistakenly given regular. She is acutely aware of coffee effect so she could not sleep all night!! She sent a note to Jerome as well, who we know.
Dinner itself was sublime as usual. A bit pricey but very high quality and service is 2nd to none.

Always love going to Auberge for lunch or dinner!
The MOST amazing dining experience I have ever had. The service was top notch from the second I walked through the front door. A true team/family working hard to make the diner's experience the best it can be. I never felt rushed, watched over yet the second a utensil was dirty or we needed something the server or servers were at our table. UNBELIEVABLE!! Can't wait to go back!
Lovely restaurant in a gorgeous building with delicious food and outstanding service. O&B does it right! The reason why I didn't give the food five stars is because I got a delicious scallop appetizer and duck entree but the cabbage served with the duck was not the greatest and left a strong after taste. My GFs risotto was sublime! Wine was very good and surprisingly reasonably priced for a fancy restaurant plus free water is a big thumbs up at a fancy place. Recommended for dates and special occasions. Expect to spend $100 a person with wine.
4.5 stars would be my exact rating :)
Excellent service. The meal was very good, but nothing particularly creative. The desert however was absolutely fantastic (pomme d’auberge).
Consistently excellent, never fails to deliver an exceptional culinary experience. Our go to fine dining establishment in north Toronto
We had a dinner but everything was average, Our expectation was bigger than what really happened, but the restaurant is a good place to go
It was a our 10th Wedding Anniversary and because we got married at the Auberge, we are so fortunate to be able to return each year and relive the happiness and joy of that day, which always includes an exceptional meal, authentic customer service and incredible ambience.
Truly a memorable and exquisite meal! The Alsace tasting menu is divine! Still thinking about it days later...thank you!
Best place for birthdays and great atmosphere great food and service
Always a favorite and still fantastic after more than 10 years visiting them for dinner!
Not cheap, but great for an upscale/special occasion.
Chinese new year
We always live Auberge du Pommier for a special date night or our yearly Valentines Day go to place because of the romantic setting and delicious French food! Service is always top notch!
Our waiter was very good. Our dessert we took home and when we opened it they were the wrong desserts. We were seated for three hours and a lot of in between waiting, I have neck issues so we had to take the dessert to go. It was hard to sit for that long. Just some feedback the bench is very soft and it’s in need of some new springs as you sink into it and very uncomfortable holding yourself up for that long. I’m 35 years old and I found it hard to sit there. It was a set menu for Valentine’s Day which we didn’t know. (Would have been nice to know this before hand) My tea didn’t come either but the waiter was nice enough to point it out on our way out. We weren’t charged for it. Probably won’t go back being that it was not the greatest first impression. Would be good for an event or Corporate meeting though.
It was Valentine’s day, so set menu. Expected the high price, but the portions were extremely small. Went home hungry after spending over $400
This restaurant is a real gem! I love the French wine cellar country home feel! The food is spectacular and there are great choices of wine! The service is also very professional ") Bravo!
Wonderful and attentive service. Service personnel was very responsive to our inquiries, especially in optimizing our experience in the context of using our gift certificate.
Always AWESOME!!! Service and Food Shine. Cute cottage in the middle of the city.
Great service, food and ambience. It was worth the slight premium in cost for the experience.
Soup to nuts, my experience at Auberge du Pommier was stellar. The risotto was perfect. The salade was perfectly balanced. The server was a hair green (but friendly and attentive) and the bleu was "bluer" than my preference but, as a whole this could scarcely have been a better lunch.
I invited my Sister and her boyfriend as they had never had the Auberge experience. They were gastronomically moved by the food and wine (Biffs). Auberge never fails to deliver a gourmet experience for food lovers and a wonderful experience for neophytes! Bravo as always.
Our evening dining here was well worth it. The food and service were both exceptional.
My partner who is also a chef was impressed with all of our course as well as the fine red wine available.
I'll definitely be back and we are both recommending that our friends visit.
Went for our 5th annual Winterlicious...always FANTASTIC!
The service impeccable, the food was spectacular, the wine joyous.
Always a treat to visit Auberge!
Lovely. Great table in front of the fire. Super food. Pleasant staff.
Came for lunch, perhaps it happened to be a winterlicious event, however the quality overall this visit was not what I expected. Portions were small and found two bones in the salmon. Flavour was good but not as complex as regular times.
I’ve only come for dinner during non “licious” times and experienced much better food and service.
Interesting note though, the previous summerlicious had much better food and portion sizes.
Christa our server was superb yet again
prefer the main dining area for atmosphere the fireplace room does not have the same ambiance.
Very consistent. Beautiful atmosphere in city which is a rare unique find. Winterlicious menu was ok. Service was excellent. Second to none. Makes up for some other things.
We went for the Winterlicious lunch and were pleased with all three courses on the fixed price menu. We have been here before, and will go again.
The waiter was very helpful and good at his job. It was my husband's birthday and this was acknowledged by the restaurant, making the meal even more pleasant.
Service was awesome and attentive. Very nice romantic restaurant. Salmon and soup was awesome. Parking underground with access to stairs right by the front door.
