Auberge du Pommier
The original jewel in the Oliver & Bonacini crown and a North Toronto icon, Auberge du Pommier has been serving guests since 1987. Constructed around the rustic vestiges of two 1860’s woodcutters’ cottages, Auberge du Pommier combines country charm with contemporary sophistication and style. Featuring wood burning fireplaces in winter and lush, floral terraces in summer, it is a welcoming, refined retreat from the city.

I had not been to auberge in quite a while, and was pleasantly surprised how fabulous it was, it’s always been great, but this was in the top 5 meals I have ever had. I had an Australian cab with the chefs 5 course menu, my guest had the fillet mignon, I have always been a big fan of Peter Oliver, and his family, and Micheal Bonacinni, and it has been a great spot for over 35 years now, many of them run by another great restaurateur Peter Geary of Pangea fame.
Thank you to the wonderful staff, and shout out to the chef.

Hope to see you all in 2021🙂☘️🙏
First time there, was a great dining experience.
One of the very best restaurants in the city; perfectly reliable and yet never the same. For both front and back of the restaurant, superior scores are always earned.
The caviar and chateaubriand were the standout items of the night. We also had the foie gras and the escargot which were good. I find the caviar better value here than other restaurants I've ordered it. And the chateaubriand is SO tender mmm.
The patio was sufficiently warm to wear my wool sweater without a coat despite it being 4 degrees out. The only thing I would change in my opinion is the red lighting (I think from the overhead heaters?) . Not the best for photos.
They need more outdoor heating, it was freezing and still 8C. Besides that, amazing...it’s been years since I’ve been.
Server was great and the food was amazing , the ambience was unforgettable.
We have been looking forward to dining here for quite a time. Alas, the covid restrictions and our wedding anniversary sealed the deal. My husband, one of our teen sons and I were very excited when we discovered that Auberge still had room for us this past Saturday. All was lovely with respect to ambiance and service. However, we were a little underwhelmed with the entrees. My husband had elk and I had duck but both tasted like beef. The food presentation was lovely but the taste was nothing special. Our son had the beef tenderloin and that was the most delicious of all 3 options.
Delicious and savory . Excellent service from Krista. Terrific ambience! One of our best patio experiences ever!
Excellent seasonal menu with variety. Great ambience.
One recommendation would be to have more vegetarian options on the menu.
Birthday celebrations
It was great eating there again after all the lock downs.
Looking forward to eating in the dinning room again.
I sat at the patio and the food turned cold easily and affect the food quality.
Food and service were exceptional as usual
Excellent services , yummy dishes and good vibes .
Food was the most excellent, although portions were small with respect to the price , that was expected. We ordered the Mushroom soup with truffle and beef tartar which were both delicious. For mains we had a pasta dish stuffed with squash I believe and a steak. The pasta dish came with 9 pieces, while small, it was mighty, the sauces was the best I ever had, again infused with truffle. The steak was cooked to perfection. Food and service was certainly 5 out of 5. The only piece was that there was only patio seating due to the covid restrictions and it got really cold. There were several heaters but not nearly strong enough to keep the patio warm. I would strongly suggest they put more and better heaters if they plan to serve folks on the patio.
Honestly at this time until Auberge Du Pommier can get sufficient heating for their covered patio, I can't recommend it. It's really too bad because the food and service remains exceptional as ever--hence the 3-star--but it's difficult to concentrate on that when you're shivering and teeth are chattering.
I say if you do go, chose lunch where there's a chance the sunshine would help with the warmth.
But until they get a couple of floor heaters or indoor dining is allowed again I'd recommend their delicious takeout option.
A lovely dinner and, although we ate outside, it was very memorable and special ... thank you for the expertise of your somalíer, which was very helpful. The warmth and atmosphere was lovely and we were happy to hear you have sourced a few new heaters for the patio, which will make it even more coMfortable and classy! Thank you for a great birthday dinner!! 💞
My wife and I went for the first time to Auberge du Pommier for our first anniversary. We live down at the waterfront but it was definitely worth the drive to experience this charming French culinary experience!
Everything was delicious and the staff were terrific - but it was really chilly. Hopefully more heaters are on their way.
Just a tad cool outside.
Delicious food and attentive, friendly service. They even give out recipes!
My fried and I enjoyed steak frites, green salad, mushroom soup, Paris-Brest and Earl Grey creme brûlée.
All as expected ..............great experience ....
Have dined at almost all the OB over the years and whilst many are good I have always felt Auberge was a step above. Nothing about our latest dinner here changes that thought.
The food, ambiance and overall experience was excellent even with the modifications due to Covid19.
Amazing food as always. Patio is very safe with heater and great air flow ventilation. Highly recommended.
I had an amazing time at Auberge du Pommier; the food was delicious, and the presentation was amazing. The service was better than anywhere in Toronto. The experience was exceptional because of Anna, who recommended us the wine and a couple of dishes from the menu. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional.
Thank you, Anna, for everything.
Fantastic fine dining. They has very good COVID-19 protocols for our dinner on their terrace. Perfect for a special occasion dinner!
One of the best dining experiences we've ever had in our lives. A little too pricey though but its worth it sometimes.
The staff here elevates the experience from pleasant to outstanding.
Overpriced and definitely not worth it . $24 for a glass of wine and $45 for bouillabaisse that tasted like shrimp bisque my mom

Excellent place to celebrate 20 year anniversary. I wish I had my entire family to celebrate with us, but due to COVID it could not happen. I will be back when COVID is no more.
I use to dine at this restaurant for 15 years
Most of our dinners was perfect but not today
Hostess was rude
Tartar was so so
I will NOT visit this restaurant in future
Very disappointed
In the Ovid era, I felt very comfortable, as everyone e was masked, the place was cleaned and it was cleaned after every use.
Very good
The Atmosphere is beautiful and timeless. Service is amazing courteous are wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable and food and wine pairings. I would highly recommend this place if your looking to do something special and memorable
Been to ADP a few times over the years and have never been disappointed. Menu could be expanded slightly as the choices are quite limited.
The tartare and main courses were delicious, desserts were sub-par and flavorless. Surprisingly they charge $5 for a small order of bread for the table.
Have been to Auberge many times for lunch and dinner and eaten inside and on their patio.
Service has always been very good and the food is first rate. Would recommend for celebrations and first class dining!!
Overrated. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant if you are going to be spending 200 plus dollars on dinner. Soo many better establishments out there. Service was excellent. Food was way to creamy as well as tasteless. Do not recommend at all
It was really good!
So happy to be able to enjoy good food and service, feeling safe at the same time.
Service was terrific, our server Andrew was so cheery and made the whole night delightful. Food was great and the tasting menu with the wine pairing was a lot of fun.
