The original jewel in the Oliver & Bonacini crown and a North Toronto icon, Auberge du Pommier has been serving guests since 1987. Constructed around the rustic vestiges of two 1860’s woodcutters’ cottages, Auberge du Pommier combines country charm with contemporary sophistication and style. Featuring wood burning fireplaces in winter and lush, floral terraces in summer, it is a welcoming, refined retreat from the city.

Led by Executive Chef John Horne and Chef de Cuisine Malcolm Campbell, Auberge du Pommier is defining contemporary French cooking in Canada. The cuisine honours both the refined techniques and rustic styles of classic French fare, with an innovative North American accent.

Auberge du Pommier is routinely ranked among Joanne Kates’ Top 100 Restaurants, and was awarded a five-star rating by Toronto Life magazine in 2016.

Always a pleasure and a memorable experience to dine at Auberge du Pommier. The setting is elegant French dining, but the intimate atmosphere works well for both Business meals and romantic ones. Highly recommended.

With my husband we went to l'Auberge du Pommier for a special occasion.
We took the tasting menu and expected a modern french fine and traditional cuisine as described on the website but it was not at all.
The courses we have had were good but could not pretend to be French fine meals
As French people we were really disappointed. Not good value for money

Auberge never disappoints. Excellent service, food and ambience. It's expensive but well worth the price. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed this restaurant and recommend it to others who would want to have an evening of fine dining and enjoy well prepared and served food. The price is high but worth the experience. It is great for celebrating anniversaries and birthdays or just a romantic evening for couples. Underground parking is available but don't know if they have direct access to the restaurant. The dining area is simple, elegant and very clean. The staff are well informed and accommodate you very well and work with what you will require. I don't drink alcohol because of my faith but they did make a very delicious drink for me to enjoy with my food. The food that was served was great! I enjoyed every bite and the pace at which it was served was perfect.

No matter the weather, it just feels great to bask in the light in the solarium room at Auberge du Pommier, especially these days when the wait for spring seems eternal. My friend and I were celebrating her birthday. The server was very patient as we spent almost an hour catching up before we turned our attention to the menu. The scallop starter, perfectly split and presented, was beautiful and flavourful. We elected to try a new wine selection replacing our favourite - it was an ideal pairing with our meal selection. The main course, a simple omelet, was delicious. As a dessert was required to conclude the celebration - we ordered the new deconstructed Pavlova. It was a spectacular creation and heavenly light. What a wonderful way to while away the day. Auberge du Pommier never disappoints.

I come with my friends for the dinner, but the Tasting menu is not impressive, not as expected. Appetizer Foie gras and dessert was very disappointed, could not even finished it. We changed main course to lamb because we don’t eat rabbit and fish, they charged us extra 60 bucks. Overall, not felling too good.

Great staff, very beautiful dining area but the food was absolutely mediocre and conservative. The plate design was absolutely gorgeous but it was lacking flavor. The truffle dish was overpowered by caramelized onion and in the majority of dished the taste profile we're not there yet. For sure the chef knows very well how to cook a peice of protein of any kind to the perfection but I think he should take risk and go less conservative and bolder in terms of flavors and spices. It was a nice dinner but certainly not an experience I remember or would like to try it twice. For the price ($350 for two no wine pairing) didn't meet our standard. But again, it's beautiful restaurant with super nice staff....

Sophisticated, delicious menu perfect for our BIG SPLURGE dinner adventure. My husband and I both had the Alsace region tasting menu which was 7 courses each timed perfectly, presented beautifully, and the taste was delectable. The wine pairing option provided 5 glasses of wine including sparkling wine, 2 whites, a red, and a dessert wine. The atmosphere was warm and romantic and while we didn't need to be as fancy as we were dressed (which we had chosen because it was a special night for us) we didn't feel out of place in a dress and suit. The cost matches the quality so don't come for a cheap meal. Enjoy as we did!!

Fancy dinner for special occasions. The service was excellent - very friendly staff and servers. The food was great. We really enjoyed their appetizers (loved the foie gras and tartare) and desserts. It is on the expensive end.

My evening started off on the right foot by being warmly greeted by Maître d'hotel, Joel Centeno, who apologized for my last experience and reassured me that this time it would be what I'm accustomed to having which is a relaxing and enjoyable meal.

Each member of the waitstaff that I personally dealt with were both courteous and professional to me with special kudos to my pleasant and knowledgeable server, Krista, who more than made up for the service from last time.

I never had an issue with how good the food tasted, it was the pacing of my meal that was my biggest issue--I felt rushed and very unwelcomed receiving 3 out of 5 dishes within 30 minutes of ordering!--HOWEVER on this occasion Chef Malcolm and his team were on track with my server and executed perfectly the timing and pacing of each dish.

From splurging/indulging in the Acadian Caviar with blini and traditional garnishes to all the other dishes I had, I could taste the love and hard work that went into  each plate served. It was nice being able to savour and enjoy each beautifully presented and delicious dish.

The wine pairings that Joel chose for me to go with my dishes complemented them beautifully with my favourite pairing  between the Chateau Eugenie Cahors Malbec and the Côte de Bœuf. Just perfect.

My ONLY disappointment was that I could not make room for one of Chef's decadent desserts nor have a cheese course from what looked like an amazing selection to choose from!

I admire that Auberge du Pommier was so willing to turn that bad experience I had, completely erase it from my memory and replace it with this phenomenal one. And while I do know I was given extra attention because of last time, it also proved in my eyes that what happened at NYE was an anomaly and NOT what this restaurant promises to deliver.

Thank you for a wonderful evening. I will definitely be back.

It was great. Only thing, I was treating my mother for her birthday, and requested something for her birthday. When the cake came it said “Happy Anniversary” instead of Happy Birthday.. Everything else was good.

One of our fav toronto restaurants been coming for 25 yrs. my wife asked for decaf express love and was mistakenly given regular. She is acutely aware of coffee effect so she could not sleep all night!! She sent a note to Jerome as well, who we know.

Dinner itself was sublime as usual. A bit pricey but very high quality and service is 2nd to none.

The MOST amazing dining experience I have ever had. The service was top notch from the second I walked through the front door. A true team/family working hard to make the diner's experience the best it can be. I never felt rushed, watched over yet the second a utensil was dirty or we needed something the server or servers were at our table. UNBELIEVABLE!! Can't wait to go back!

Lovely restaurant in a gorgeous building with delicious food and outstanding service. O&B does it right! The reason why I didn't give the food five stars is because I got a delicious scallop appetizer and duck entree but the cabbage served with the duck was not the greatest and left a strong after taste. My GFs risotto was sublime! Wine was very good and surprisingly reasonably priced for a fancy restaurant plus free water is a big thumbs up at a fancy place. Recommended for dates and special occasions. Expect to spend $100 a person with wine.

4.5 stars would be my exact rating :)

Cheers!
