The original jewel in the Oliver & Bonacini crown and a North Toronto icon, Auberge du Pommier has been serving guests since 1987. Constructed around the rustic vestiges of two 1860’s woodcutters’ cottages, Auberge du Pommier combines country charm with contemporary sophistication and style. Featuring wood burning fireplaces in winter and lush, floral terraces in summer, it is a welcoming, refined retreat from the city.

    I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant yesterday. I had made a reservation and clearly noted that it was for a birthday celebration. To my surprise, the table next to us received a birthday dessert and warm wishes from the staff — we got absolutely nothing. I even brought a birthday cake and mentioned we’d like to take a photo with it, but the staff never brought it to the table. Throughout the entire meal, no one checked in on us, asked if the food was okay, or offered any sort of attentive service. It honestly felt like we were completely ignored. At the end, they charged me an automatic 18% gratuity — over $50. The only reason I didn't protest was because it was a birthday and I didn't want to make a scene. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have left a cent. Extremely disappointing and definitely not the kind of experience you expect when celebrating something special.

    We have had very good dining experiences at Auberge previously. We always choose this place for a special occasion for their decor and attentive service which it still is. However our tasting menu last week left us very disappointed. First the restaurant was not full but the wait between courses was very long. Our Crabe et Crevettes appetizer had Fogo island shrimps with a fishy taste. The Homard was usually chewy. The consommé arrived cold. The rest of the meal was unappetizing and not worthy of being called a tasting menu. Small portions are standard for a tasting menu but fishy taste is not. We were extremely disappointed and will not revisit this place. AT.

    Lovely meal at this longtime Toronto institution. Great service from the front desk to the dessert. Silvio, our waiter, was just great hand helped us have a wonderful time. Food was great as expected. Wonderful place to celebrate with old friends.

    As an A la carte restaurant service is really good also food plating was very succesfull but taste was not satisfied. When you eating your Gnocchi you taste too much flour which is unexpected also texture was not good. Bread is good. Duck was okay, I didn’t like the sauce on the side. Also duck might be cook little bit more because when you cut there was too much blood coming from inside. I am a big fan of scallop but it was a dissapointment for me. Otherwise everything else were good.
