Auberge du Pommier
We choose Auberge as a perfect place to celebrate a milestone anniversary. We also choose the tasting menu which was paired with wine. For us, it was a perfect way to sample the full menu and enjoy the experience of the culinary team. It was well done, with great service and insight to each item on the menu. We liked it so much, we will happily return for any special occasion, to be treated well and dive deeper into the menu.
If you’ve never been, you have to enjoy the experience at least once. Food, staff, ambiance all add up to a wonderful dining experience.
It was really nice and fun. The food was interesting, and had lots of great components in them.
Our table wast at an area near kitchen, high traffic of staff and waiters going in and out. Sort of distrupts mood/ambience. Men's urinals, auto flush would be nice.
Our 33 anniversary dinner! We have been having our anniversary dinner at Auberge du Pommier almost every year for more than 20 years! It never disappoints!! And it remains our favourite restaurant in Toronto!
I was literally disappointed on my recent visit. The lady at the front had attitude issues and was not friendly to kids at all. When my son asked her a simple question she was reluctant to answer and brushed him off. I’ve never experienced such unfriendly staff at a French restaurant before. I felt like I wasn’t welcome to the restaurant at all. The waiter was okay but it was way more noisier at lunch compared to dinner. I could barely hear my friend talk who was sitting next to me.
Very pleased over all. Very good food, great ambiance, and exceptional service from the staff. Exceeded my expectations.
Service was above and beyond. Food was divine. Definitely will recommend
Always a reliable choice for first-rate service and impeccable food. If weather permits, the patio tables are the best in the house.
The service is excellent! The ribeye steak is very tough and no taste, bad quality meat. The soufflé is the best.
We attended for a birthday celebration and enjoyed both the food and the service. When staff ask how would you like that cooked, we always say "the way the chef thinks it should be cooked". You can’t go wrong with that here.
Great food, nice presentation, good separation between tables and the staff seem to love their jobs. I would like a broader menu.
It has a very nice décor.
We would return.
We always have a lovely dinner here. Thanks so much for the care you take.
Fantastic experience- great service, atmosphere and food. They did a great job in making my mother's birthday a memorable time!
Auberge du Pommier didn't disappoint. Our service was impeccable — just the right amount of attentiveness without being intrusive. I had the Boullibase as my main, and it was bursting with flavor. My wife had the Cote du boeuf, and while the accompaniments (cheese croquette, spiced apple) were good, it was the beef that was the star of the show — very flavourful as well as tender. The cheese selection was nice, but the portions seemed a bit small. I'd definitely return.
This is our favourite place for French cuisine in Toronto. We always go for special occasions and it's alway's reliably good.
Limited but flawlessly executed menu. Lovely refined atmosphere with serene outdoor patio. Hard to find these days. Servers need to learn the proper use of the term ‘we’ (how are we enjoying our appetizers?) I tolerate that better in a more casual environment but really, in an upscale French restaurant that gets it right in so many other ways??
Decided to try the tasting menu. It was excellent. My only regret is we didn’t go for the wine pairing option.
Outstanding experience - we had the full tasting menu for our anniversary, was excellent overall, great service and ambience. A wee bit pricey, but totally worth it.
The venue is beautiful, but the food just ok. And a nicoise should never have overcooked tuna.
We indulged in the tasting menu for our anniversary. Truly exceptional from beginning to end. Lobster was the stand out! Service was impeccable. Wine pairings outstanding. Thank you for a memorable and special experience
Excellent food and outstanding service. Beautiful patio and music.
Wonderful location and delicious food. Pricey, yes, but fine dining costs money.
We loved our experience at Auberge. The outdoor patio was beautiful and serene and the staff were responsive and friendly. We especially loved our waiter, Elliot, he's a real gem and made our experience that much better. Delicious food, refreshing drinks, great time!
Amazing food, we really enjoyed it. Highly recommended
Outstanding food & service: it was a romantic evening, the tasting menu was delicious & the wine was perfect.
This place was so amazing! If you want a world class, well balanced dish, this is the place to come. The flavors will tantalize your palate. The Homard-butter-poached lobster, confit butternut squash, crispy ginger, braised leeks, tarragon & tomalley jus, was heaven in my mouth. Even my twelve year old daughter couldn’t get enough of it. The Canard-Chambord-lacquered duck breast, sumac pain perdu, dandelion, parsley root, tarragon, black raspberry jus was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Last, but not least, the soufflé, done to perfection!
This is a must for anyone wanting a first class food experience here in Canada! Worth every penny!
It’s difficult not to use the adjective ‘BEST’ to describe anything about this restaurant. The best business lunch and the most romantic dinner spot in Toronto! Consistently fabulous food with the best service, and best ambience. Their awesome soups are always a highlight of any meal, as are their frites. Very elegant dining. Can’t wait to return.
Our server Elliot was very attentive and made good recommendations for our meal.
Everything about Auberge du Pommier is elegant. The ding rooms in this historic venue are lovely, the service is friendly but refined and the food is always beautifully presented and delicious. Our recent visit was on the last day of Summerilicious. Still the team at Auberge managed to uphold these standards. Our party of four chose different dishes from the abbreviated menu and we were all delighted with our selections. The sommelier recommended a perfect bubbly to celebrate our special occasion. And desserts were divine. As a regular customer, I don’t generally look forward to the crowds or menu restrictions that typically accompany Summerlicious but our experience at Auberge du Pommier was perfect.
Très bon service, très attentif. La cuisine était intéressante et raffinée.
The entrees were disappointing. Appetizers and desserts were fine but not exceptional.
Did not make any recognition for the 85th birthday celebration
Amazing service, very attentive staff
It was my birthday and servers servers came to wish me a happy birthday, made the lunch very special.the food was delicious.
The waiter was really kind and friendly.
Food and service was average. Our server mixed our order twice. The Summerlicious soup was oversalted and I could not eat it at all. The wine that we ordered was not available and they offered us a more expensive version... We came to celebrate my partner's birthday and were very disappointed.
Wife and 10 year old son loves this place. We always go every chance we get. Outstanding food and service. We’ve been here 3 times already this year. Keep up the good work!!
Fantastic food and service. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Clean environment.
I have not been to Auberge in few years but experience was as wonderful as always.. amazing food. service and wine..
