French
The original jewel in the Oliver & Bonacini crown and a North Toronto icon, Auberge du Pommier has been serving guests since 1987. Constructed around the rustic vestiges of two 1860’s woodcutters’ cottages, Auberge du Pommier combines country charm with contemporary sophistication and style. Featuring wood burning fireplaces in winter and lush, floral terraces in summer, it is a welcoming, refined retreat from the city. Led by Executive Chef John Horne , Auberge du Pommier is defining contemporary French cooking in Canada. The cuisine honours both the refined techniques and rustic styles of classic French fare, with an innovative North American accent. Auberge du Pommier is routinely ranked among Joanne Kates’ Top 100 Restaurants, and was awarded a five-star rating by Toronto Life magazine in 2016.

My grandmother was so impressed with everything that she took a business card on the way out. She also said the chocolate tart was the best she had ever had. The service was fantastic. Every time we wanted something, there was someone nearby. The fixed Easter menu had enough variety for our party of five.

Always a pleasure to dine at this excellent restaurant, with wonderful cuisine from an imaginative menu and with superb service. We have eaten at Auberge a number of times over the years, and it never fails to impress on the special occasions when we want a memorable dining experience. A true gem in the O & B family of restaurants!

My salad was too plain and bland. Expect more for the price and venue. Other than that it was top notch.

Food was excellent. Service was great. But i felt it was a bit dark where we sat. Hard to see the great food masterpieces that were served to us.

They validate parking if you park in the underground lot. We didn't know until we were asked where we parked.

When I went to the restaurant I expected food that was way above anything I could find anywhere else. I was disappointed in that. The food was great quality, I expected more complexity I guess that popped out.

All else, attentiveness of staff, atmosphere, decor, were superlative

Will I try that again, sure, may be it did not work out for me the first time, give it another try till I get it

Main course, steaks were lukewarm. Definitely not hot enough We we’re hungry and ate it but we’re dissatisfied.
I did not like the foie grass . I expected it to be a pate that is spreadable and it was so expensive for what it was . An actual goose liver !
Our friends did not like their salads . One friend prefers the soup at milestones at a fraction of the price .
The seafood appetizer was very tasty but definitely very skimpy .

One of the best dining experiences in a long time. Celebrated my birthday at Auberge and they did everything to make it an evening to remember. Our server, Christa I believe, was phenomenal and the visits at the table from the Maître D were always much appreciated. He recommended some fantastic wine pairings.

Will definitely be back.

Auberge du Pommier has a relaxed refinement about it: The ambiance is superb - there is actually French in the air. The food is excellent - we had the duck and the monkfish, and all 4 of us were happy with our choices. The sumac pain perdu and the parsley root were unusual, but they made the dish interesting. The duck was perfect. The Creme Brulee was also interestingly different, but very tasty. Our waitress didn't only have the nicest French accent, she also made us feel comfortable and relaxed. We also enjoyed the amuse bouche and the extra sweets at the end of the dinner. All in all, a very enjoyable evening.

Food was excellent! Among the appetizers, the mushroom soup, beet salad, foie gras, and scallops were really great; the escargot and hamachi were just okay. With the mains, the lamb and monkfish/tortellini were great, the duck was surprisingly tender, and the phyllo/brie was good. Dessert also did not disappoint, with the Chocolat and Gateaux Basque being the stars. Complementing all this was the amazing service that was warm and friendly!
