Charming and warm little place. Creative ad original cuisine. Chef and owner came out to greet everyone.
Lovely get together with okd friend. Rose and mussells, shared the ile flotante
My warm vegetable salad was AMAZING, and my husband's scalloped potatoes were fantastic. My Halibut was ok, and my husband's filet mignon was cooked perfectly, but the sauce was just ok. My floating Island dessert was disappointing- a ball of flavorless fluff? Nice music playing, good service.
This place is a hidden gem! Their food is creative, while sticking to the basics of French cooking. My wife and I have eaten here a number of times and have never had a bad meal.
My wife and I have been frequenting Au Midi since it first opened. Mu is a superb chef of French provincial (provencal) cuisine, and Michel is a warm, knowledgeable host, who also is a jazz aficionado. In our opinion, Au Midi is, hands down, the best restaurant in Santa Cruz County, and a good value as well. The wine list is very short, but extremely well chosen for quality and value.
As always, Au Midi is a lovely dining experience. I am never disappointed and always look forward to another visit
The food was spectacular. We took my mother here for her birthday and were not disappointed. I had the lemongrass ginger halibut and it was truly amazing. Super delicate, subtle and complex flavors with a richness that wash lush. Equally amazing was the filet mignon. The soup was unbelievable. Cream of Onion, complex and delightful. The waitor recommended excellent and affordable wine pairings. We were absolutely thrilled with the meal and the chef came out to greet and check with her diners in an effusive yet genuine manner that made us feel like she truly loves what she does. Thank you. We can taste it.
Always great food and excellent service and very tasty deserts!
French cooking done right is two steps above anything else and Au Midi does it right.
Absolutely outstanding in every way! Food, service, experience...all just fantastic! Thank you!
