Very good breakfast, excellent service.
The food was exceptional however, the service was horrendous. They didn’t give us our first course until our actual entrees came out. So we had double the food at one time, no room on the table and waited about 30 minutes for it all to come out. The waitress was awkward and came maybe twice to serve our table
The experience was great! We had a wonderful time.
Top notch service and such great food. We’ll definitely be back. Big fan of the ginger soup and beet salad.
Understated elegance. A beautiful restaurant with high ceilings and lots of natural light. One of my favorite places for pre-theater (or post-theater) downtown. The service is friendly, not stuffy, the food is always excellent. Nice selection of cocktails. Great for brunch!
We don’t get down to the city often, but always enjoy Atwood. Meeting up with all our grown kids for a meal before West Side Story at the Lyric, we wanted to introduce them to our favorite spot. Everyone enjoyed the fresh atmosphere, great location, and wonderful service. And as always, a menu I describe as “delightfully quirky,” was a hit. Another great day at Atwood!
Generally a positive—our server was excellent and the food was fine, but the music was too loud.
Service was excellent. Food and drinks were good but nothing special, and laughably overpriced (even as someone who lives in the city). If there was any other option for a quiet pre-theatre meal on a Sunday evening, I’d have chosen otherwise.
Atwood was a great spot for brunch. I live locally and I was looking for something besides the regular breakfast spots in the area. The space is really nice. A lot of natural light and windows. The service was great. Friendly host staff and server. The menu offered something for everyone. I had the egg white omelette that I can’t wait to go back and have again very soon. The prices were a few dollars more than other spots in the area, but I find that’s typical when dining/drinking at any of the hotels. Overall a great experience. This will definitely become a regular go to for breakfast/brunch.
We just had drinks, appetizer and dessert. Everything was very good. The flatbread appetizer, however, had a bit too much mustard type sauce and was overwhelming. The apple tart dessert was to die for. I had the Warm Up after dinner drink which was quite good but a bit too much lemon for my liking. All in all though, we enjoyed the Atwood and would return.
The drinks were very tasty but the food was all over salted and unpleasant. The waiter never came back to check on us so we picked at the food and finally just decided to be done. Very disappointed. Would not return.
Good food - we had breakfast. Eggs & bacon are good and Greek yogurt with granola and fresh fruit is very refreshing and filling.
Loud with only ok food. The new concept for Atwood is not worth visiting unless you are staying in the hotel.
Easter Sunday Brunch with a fixed menu. Everything was perfect. The atmosphere is wonderful. Service was fantastic. The food was delicious. I highly recommend The Atwood.
The fixed menu for Easter Sunday did not give us choices like in the past.
Overall we loved the place. I think you should add more sweet options since you have a full page of savory options. We really enjoyed our food but didn’t have that many choices for veggie either for brunch.
Great. Loved it. Definitely going back. Our server Andre was the best! 5 Stars
Had not been to this restaurant since new owners took over. Very pleasantly surprised how friendly, fun and yummy was the experience. The grilled salmon was divine and the mashed sweet potato streusel decadently fabulous. All of the staff were super friendly and professional. Looking forward to next time.
The view is amazing, the service, the entire atmosphere and of course the food were great
Very friendly waitress; I believe Marilyn(?), great steak, good service, nice atmosphere
Great night out, excellent food, excellent service. Live music was a tad too loud, but all considered, I would definitely do it again!
Friendly service, nice open modern decor (though we did miss the Art Deco feel of years ago. Fabulous service, delicious cheese board and drinks. Our main dishes were very tasty, though more of a small plate. Great people watching from the front windows. We would definitely go back and it was the perfect date place before our show at the Chicago Theater.
Great experience and great service
Server was excellent. He made a real effort to allow us to be on time for Hamilton!
Sending off party
the chicken cassoulet was excellent and the ambiance is always lovely
Food was delicious and the service superb. It's a little pricy for a weekday dinner but quality of food and service are commensurate.
My only criticism is the noise level. With a full room, it is conversationally challenging. We were a group of 6 and it was very hard to hear each other. It got noticeably easier to hear one another once half of the restaurant emptied out.
We really had a time of our life! Thank you, Atwood.
New server who was very good and didn’t pretend to know everything (went and asked); and the atmosphere was very nice. Love coming here. Food was good, but not necessarily special.
Our server was fantastic. The food and ambiance was very mediocre. The new menu is very limitimg. Much better before the big change-over. Would not not recommend. CRC
Wonderful service and a delicious brunch. They had a whole packet of fun for my 4-year-old and his French toast was as good as my salmon Benedict. Great spot for a fun morning with friends! Valet outside the hotel was slow - ask for your car when you ask for the bill.
The vegetarian dish was absolutely flavorless. The server did not indicate which dishes are meatless even though we clearly marked on our reservation that one person is vegetarian.
The charred eggplant was to die for. If your still alive try their gelato ice cream.
Although the menu is limited . The food we selected was very tasty. My French fries were hot and crisp and the burger was very flavorful. Our pumpkin bread dessert was large enough to share. Also, our waiter was wonderful- really charming even though we spent a good bit of time over coffee and dessert.
Very reasonable prices.
My husband and I were regulars at the old Atwood Cafe, so I was positive about returning. I was interested in the new direction but my cocktail (Mai Tai) was just so so. My entree (charred eggplant) was so dry and flavorless that I sent it back after two mouthfuls. Many dishes were not available so I ordered the gnocchi. It too was dry and flavorless but I needed to eat something before a concert. My dessert (pot de creme) was pretty good, but really didn't compensate for the very disappointing and flavorless entrees. Sadly I won't return as it's a lovely space and well-located for pre-concert or theater meals.
Such a lovely space!
Atwood is consistently good on food and service. The menu has a very nice selection, and I have to say I have never had a bad meal. The salmon is my favorite.
Loved my waiter he was awesome!
The food was amazing
You can get a better salad at Wendy’s and better burger at a tiny family restaurant
They didn’t seem to mind the strong odor of their fish dishes... the pineapple theme is cheesy, they use to be more upscale... how do you run out of your only cider?
Overpriced and bland
Great service! Everything we had was delicious and perfect before a performance downtown
