Very nice hotel restaurant, comfortable setting, excellent service. Menu is a bit limited but ample variety; good food well presented.
My husband and I had a lovely, romantic anniversary dinner here. we were seated overlooking the river. It was beautiful and the food and cocktails were delicious as well.
Outstanding service from checking in all the way to leaving the restaurant. Thank You!
Wonderful and romantic for celebrating an engagement. Wide range of meat and seafood dishes that were all perfect! Wish the sommelier would have been available for wine selection help.
We have been here several times. Always happy to come back.
Great food and service. Celebrated anniversary. Provided nice personal touch by having a card with an anniversary message that was signed by the restaurant staff. Along with the delicious food, chef sent out special appetizer and desert that was awesome. Highly recommend!!!
Excellent restaurant. This was a repeat visit and we were not disappointed! The service was impeccable, the food was outstanding, and the setting was quiet and cozy.
We had a visit with friends from the past and this restaurant was a great choice. We mentioned our reason for getting together and the staff made our lunch very special and unhurried.
A great time was had by all and we will be back soon with other friends.
Everything was fantastic—food, wine, service, ambience. Highly recommended.
Everything was above ordinary: food, service, ambiance, friendliness of staff, and portions.
I highly recommend it.
I was here with my Mom to celebrate her 75th birthday and everything was wonderful.
Our first visit was good but could have been exceptional had there been enough servers to take care of the customers... one server had 8 plus tables just not the best for taking care of the customer.
Romantic setting on fox river. Different wine list with many imports which is fun. Service was slow on our, evening, we were seated outside and it seemed no one knew who was to take care of us. Good food, but I bet it is great on other nights. Still love the place.
It was lovely. Food was great.
Our server was the bar tender and she was busy with other things.
A limited menu selection but each dish well prepared. The filet with fennel was excellent and paired with a glass off Malbec to enhance the flavors. If you are looking for average food in high quantities this is not for you. If you like a quiet dinning experience with carefully prepared dishes i highly recommend it.
Drinks and food over priced
guiltily sub par salad was wilted
very limited selection
We loved the ambiance for the restaurant and while the food was very good, I ordered the spinach crepe. I received only one medium to small sized crepe on a bed of fresh asparagus. There was barely enough to eat and left still feeling hungry. The restaurant needs to rethink this portion - serve either one large crepe or two smaller ones. This is all it would take to rectify this situation. Thank you.
We especially enjoyed this dining experience outside on their patio area with a view of the Fox River. Our party of 4 all enjoyed their entrée selections, salmon, filet mignon and red snapper special. Atwater's is high on our list of fine dining restaurants, great for special occasions.
We have been going to Atwater's for the last 17 years on our anniversary. It is always enjoyable and the food is outstanding. Very nice restaurant.
Went to Atwater's to celebrate our Anniversary. Soup and salad where fine, when our Filet's came out, ordered them medium, they were cold and nowhere near cooked. Waitress apologized and said 10 minutes to reheat. After waiting 32 minutes we got up and left.
Very disappointing, wait staff not sure how to handle this situation.
Atwaters is small, but wonderful. The food is delicious EVERY TIME. From what I can see, there are about eight tables for four, and then two tables for two. Plus a few tables outside. We will be back!
I took my out of town guest there for dinner and it was perfect! The atmosphere is very elegant and we all commented that there is not a bad table in the whole restaurant. The staff is completely professional, courteous and friendly. I would recommend Atwaters for a date, anniversary or any special occasion.
Everything was great except the temperature in the dining room was very chilly.
Time of the reservation was good in that we were practically the only people there. The bad part was that at 2:00 the menus reverts to only the bar menu. Not bad, just not as much to choose.
We were in Geneva, IL for a wedding and wanted to dine at the Atwater before we left for Home. I’m glad we did. The food and service were both outstanding. The property is beautiful, inside and out.
The ceiling design in the room where we ate was beautiful, but lent itself to clearly hearing conversations at other tables.
Excellent service from Joe. Hostess and Manager both were concerned about our experience--we had a wondersful time!
WE met for brunch and enjoyed the setting and the food. Attentive service and never a sense of being rushed.
The staff was very friendly and helpful! The food was absolutely delicious!
As usual, Atwaters did not disappoint. A great place to take the love of your life for a special occassion.
We came to celebrate our anniversary. We were greeted with a personalized anniversary card signed by all the members of the staff. Beautiful outdoor seating in a European style garden with a gazebo, on the banks of the Fox River. Great service. Everything we ate was superb. Great wine and beer selection. Highly recommended.
Nice place. Good food. Nice people.
Service was excellent, only problem is they were out of horseradish for my bloody mary and artichokes for my ommlette. the waiter was very gracious
Food was ok. Service was as bad as I have experienced in a long time.
This was a very pleasant experience! The staff was wonderful. The food was delicious! Very nice atmosphere. I would go back again!
My partner and I went for "lunch" on the 4th of July and it was outstanding as always. Any occasion spent at the Atwater is wonderful. I have been there many times and will continue to go as often as possible.
the staff was wonderful. Attentive to our every need. This as a special occasion and there was a card on our table signed by the staff.
Food was terrific. Loved the Atwater salad.
We have had 27 anniversaries, and most of the places where we celebrated over the years were very nice but not so notable that we went back again. We first dined at Atwater's a few years ago, and it is becoming our anniversary tradition. The menu has many appealing selections, and the service and food quality are first-rate. We also love wine, and Atwater's wine list includes many high-quality bottles that range from affordable to splurge. Our latest visit was as good as the first, and we can't wait to return to Atwater's.
Great place. We were there after my son’s christening. Beautiful inside and really tranquil outside. Will definitely go back there maybe next time for a date. Restaurant manager Angel was great with accommodating my party we exchanged emails before the event and he was a great help.
Thank you Atwater for a great dining experience!
Great Father's Day brunch with kids. Asked for picture and our waiter suggested outside by river and flowers. Then guided us and too photos. Very thoughtful. Great food
