Have gone multiple times. Always a treat and enjoyed by everyone in our group.
Easter Brunch. Food was served barely warm. Nothing very interesting. They had cocktails listed in the blackboard but could not make them at lunch. This place used to be amazing, interesting food and great service. What happened???
The food was fabulous but the appetizer came out after the main entrees
This is a frustrating restaurant for me and my wife. The food is always so good, but the service is always so terrible. It is right down the street from us, so we keep trying it, but they really need to get their stuff together on the service side. There is so much potential, but it is hard to recommend because of the incredibly slow service.

The place is decorated very uniquely and when our party of four walked in for our brunch reservation the table was waiting for us with a cute chalkboard sign with our name on it. Drink menu is a good one, my sister in law and I had bloody marys and they were delightful. The food was good as well. My only complaint is that the restaurant was nearly empty and we had ordered the grilled oysters to come out first as an app. The wait was long for the food and although they apologized they said the oysters would not be out first and came after the meal was brought out.
We felt very welcome. Our table was ready with a friendly greeting on it and staff was very polite even when we showed up over a half hour late. They accommodated our schedule to be able to get to our show on time.
Me and my boyfriend have passed this place a few times but never tried it. Once we finally did, it was amazing. The food was cooked to perfection and the service was excellent. We enjoyed our night and we will be back for more.

We went specifically for an item that we saw on the online menu and they didn’t have it on the menu when we arrived. I then picked a different item from the menu and was told they were not making that anymore. What I eventually ordered was fine but I was disappointed that my first two picks weren’t available.
Our server, Patrick, was wonderful - attentive, made good suggestions, professional, friendly. The environment was cozy and fun. I will definitely recommend this place to friends.
The good - the corvina was cooked perfectly. Someone knows how to cook fish. First course broccoli was underseasoned and needed salt. (I am not normally a big salter.) Mussels were a little fishy, and no spoon was given for all the broth the mussels were served in. Fish was hot and well cooked but again underseasoned. Chocolate cake was disappointing and strawberry fluff type dessert was not impressive. We won't go back.
Never a disappointment! Love this place! French Onion Soup is the absolute best!

We were there on the 2nd night of Restaurant Week and I did not find, on Open Table, that they were part of Restaurant Week - at any rate, we just had a limited menu from which to choose so perhaps other options offered on their regular menu would be more to our liking. We did have some delicious appetizers!
I haven't been to this restaurant prior to this occasion. It just so happened to be during restaurant week. Our party had a 730pm reservation. One friend in our party was was gluten free for health reasons and vegetarian for personal reasons. This presented a definite challenge with the menu. We had wonderful starters of brussel sprouts and calamari. They were sold out of the main dish i had ordered so I had a different dish. My husband and I often share our main dishes but I didn't want any of his pork chop after the first bite. It was tough and not very flavorful. My friend didn't eat any of her main dish bc it was not palatable. Dessert was great.
Atticus never disappoints me in their special touches to make me feel welcome. The chalkboard of welcome was special. The chef has a varied menu making it easy to choose a meal.
The ambiance of Atticus is very nice. Since it is a small venue, the noise level made it pleasant to spend time with friends.
Food was good, but the service was extremely slow and distracted from the overall positive experience.
These idiots gave my table (reserved the week before) away on Valentine's day. After 20 minutes at the bar with no one trying to fix it, we left. Even the cocktail that my girlfriend ordered was too much to ask since they were out of bitters. We ended up going for burgers next door. Happy Valentines day, right? Maybe put more time into training your staff and less time lighting and decoration. Screw this place.
We dined on 2/14 and had Valentine's Day dinner menu. We started with an order of oysters on the half shell that was wonderful. When we got our table we had the 4 course V-Day dinner for two. The calamari app was wonderful. The blueberry salad was good but would have been great with fresh blueberries. The surf/turf was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We finished off with the desserts, the Strawberry Shortcake was a little dry but the Flourless Chocolate Cake was amazing. We are excited to go back and enjoy food off the regular menu.
great service by Jackie. Excellent food. Celebrated an 82 year old's birthday and she loved it. Went back two days later for a business lunch and had another very good experience - service and food.
Unfortunately, the chicken wasn't done, and they couldn't give me another meal in the time I had, since we were going to a concert, so I had an appetizer and that was it! Very strange. Would not go back!
The service was very good and the food did not disappoint. Nice neighborhood place.
The atmosphere was beautiful. Walking in is very awkward because nothing gives any indication as to whether guests should wait to be seated and there is no host stand. Service was courteous but also very slow and inattentive. My cocktail was fine but wasn't really worth the price. My friend and I both got the French Onion Soup, and it was terrible. The soup was lukewarm and had no flavor whatsoever. Based on that, I am not confident that I could order any of the seafood options and be assured that they would be food safe. It's such a pretty space, but there is no substance to it. I will not be returning, nor will I recommend it to anyone.
We were extremely disappointed with the service. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, they somehow forgot to bring our oysters and French Onion soup. The meal passed on and we still didn’t see the dishes. Very disappointing - we want to like this place, but with the spotty service we won’t be returning.
Atticus was the perfect spot to gather for a business lunch with 5 people. Service was excellent. The only improvement is in toasting the outside of the Reuben sandwich. Yes, make it crispy and toasted. Abundant sandwiches and burgers were very good.

The food was really good and the service from Casey was awesome. They had a great deal on mussels that we started with and they timed our meals after that perfectly. We had the place to ourselves so it wasn't that loud. What it lacks in views it makes up for in what's most important, food and service.
This is a little gem. The restaurant is small, inviting with fireplace and lovely bar and service is exceptional. Their specials have been delicious. I've had a wonderful salmon dish and my friend had pork that was prepared beautifully and displayed elegantly. Sides are fantastic. Don't miss the brussels sprouts!
Have been several times before. Really like the cozy environment and warm service. Brussels sprout appetizer is yummy though rich. The entrees ( short ribs, salmon, pork) were good but not great. The salmon was cooked maybe 10-15% overdone. The accompaniments on that plate were just unremarkable though not bad, sort of bland. This is a lovely place that needs to have peer review on their menu prep to just nail what they do. It's a great locale and want it to be successful.
We had the salmon, tuna and short ribs and all loved our flavorful, nicely plated entrees. Highly recommend the Brussel sprout appetizer as well. Atticus had a good crowd fort a Thursday night and a nice ambiance with the cozy fireplace and the wood and metal walls. The tables are nicely spaced. Bummer that one can no longer park in the bank parking lot (like they are using it at 7pm ): Nice servers but drinks took over ten minutes to get to us from the bar. We will be back!
No tsbeo for us even though we made open table reservation. No big deal. They served the appitizer after the main dishes had already came out. Apologized recognized the oyesterday cane out way too late. Still did not comp, kinda annoying but no big deal.
Oyesters were supposed to be grilled with garlic and parmesian.
They were missing the parmesian ... missing 1 out of 3 ingredients.... big deal .
Great food, great service, great 80's music. There were only 3 tables the restaurant but somehow their entire parking lot was full so I am guessing it was not customers parked there. There really isn't any street parking within a block or so, so had to walk a bit.

Highly suggest the bacon wrapped tuna from the winter menu. By far the best part of the meal.
From Minneapolis. Daughter goes to DU. Second time visited. OUTSTANDING food and service both times. Fireplace adds a nice touch. Every meal we have had has been creative, filling and wonderful. Would strongly recommend this.
Atticus was a perfect choice to meet a client for a business lunch. The spot by the fireplace created just the right warmth for a chilly day. The lunch choices are varied to accommodate vegetarian and meat eaters. I had trouble deciding on a sandwich and finally had to make a choice and enjoyed their burger. The creative preparation tipped that choice in its favor. Still trying to decide what I will order tomorrow when I return. will it be a vegetarian choice or the Rueben or the apple with prosciutto sandwich?
Had the special New Years Eve pris fixe dinner. The big disappointment of th meal was the beef Wellington, which was served on a bed of purple mashed potatoes which read gray on the plate. Give that the meat was overdone, the dish was rather a big, gray, soggy mess. Fortunately, the rest of my meal ranged from acceptable to quote good, as did the meals of the others in my party.
