ATRIO Wine Bar | Restaurant is an ideal setting for your next corporate event or social gathering. Our Private Dining Room is both intimate and sleek, overlooking the Hudson River and providing both flavorful cuisine and flawless service.
View Private Dining DetailsHorrible, salty and overpriced food. Ordered fish and vegetables and couldn’t taste anything except salt. Can’t even believe The Conrad would support this inadequate level of quality.
Atrio was a great pick, as I almost never make it into BPC for anything, much less dinner. Restaurant wasn't crowded, so the noise level was quite low, which was a surprise. The Conrad Hotel, where the restaurant is located, has a lot of presence and a fantastic entryway. Cuisine was well crafted, and service was attentive; no idea if the same level of service would hold up during a busy peak time, but 7:00pm on a Monday was great for me!
Service was extremely slow while the restaurant wasn’t very busy.
Food was over cooked. Perhaps it was because the food was sitting under the lamp for too long...
Laughably expensive business breakfast. Atrio is a failure of imagination, located in a convenient area for a quick business meal or drink..
The potato truffle pizza is amazing. Love this place!
Excellent friendly service and kid friendly as well. It has become a Go-To spot.
Overpriced posh-looking restaurant. One of the chairs at our table looked like someone shat their pants on it. The pork chop I got was a piece of fat on the bone. Desserts were great though.
great restaurant have the Hudson river view. good service
The meal and atmosphere were special. I would like to use if I have another time.
Good place to grab a drink after a movie. Pricey.
We were there for breakfast and we decided on the buffet. Everything was cold from the potatoes to french toast. Potoatoes tasted old, previously frozen and plain in flavor. We thought for the Conrad hotel the breakfast would have been a better quality. We also waited after sitting down for about 10 min before someone coming over to greet us. We were even by the waiter stand, my husband and I were about to leave when the man came over to the table. All around not a great experience and not worth the price.
The Conrad is a lovely hotel - but the atrium level Atrio Restaurant is NOT a good value. To hit hotel guests up for $25 + for a simple breakfast entree is absurd. They don't offer you complimentary toast, English Muffin or Bagel. Extra charges for each coffee and soda poured at over $4.00 each + a 18% automatic gratuity charge. I ended up paying $343 for breakfast for 9 people. I know its a fancy hotel - but I won't do it again.
Wow a fancy place at a fancy hotel but such a disappointment. We booked this breakfast based on proximity to the 9-11 museum and figured a good breakfast so we would arrive timely. The service was spotty at best and really pushed for "buffet"....it looked good but....the cheese was cheap and underwhelming in spite of a beautiful display. The hot options were abysmal with near raw potatoes, undercooked and burnt bacon ( none cooked properly) . I found crunchy burnt scrambled eggs so asked for an omelet. I was told that only comes on the a la Cart menu while the cook promptly burned an ordered omelet in front of me. After finishing, we waited longer than the time we were eating to get someone to get our check and process the card.
Do not bother to go here...walk a few blocks where they still respect the customer and d not insult them
Situated off the vast, visually stunning lobby area of the Conrad hotel. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed. A bar area with seating around the counter occupied part of the area, but far enough away so not to disturb diners. Service was unobtrusive and efficient. Staff were charming and helpful. Food was delicious. The octopus salad starter was cooked just right, and very tender. Main of scallops also the same. All the dishes were beautifully presented. A reasonable selection of wines by the glass. My only criticism was the price, but somewhere I would go back to.
I like Altro because the location is convinence and easy to park the car. Nice decor and comfortable environment. Food and Wine were good but the price are quite high. Good for business meal
We did go for restaurant week, however the expectation should be the food would be good. We ordered the salt and pepper calamari, there was no salt. The entrees came out salty across the board. The desserts were not good at all. The service was exceptionally slow, which was odd since the restaurant was exceptionally empty. The decor was definitely above par. And the wine list was great.
We had dinner there on the first evening of our New York trip. Unfortunately this restaurant has no features that would compensate the poor and expensive food. Will not go there again.
Place was awesome! Always go there for business lunches and personal dinners.
Beautiful, simple place. Nice menu. Great food. Update the online menu, though! Website for ATRIO appears to be outdated.
Setting is nice, good view, easy to talk and not too loud. Service was very prompt and so it's easy to do a one hour business lunch. Ordered the chicken paillard salad and it was fine, more than enough to eat, but not especially inspired. Very basic.
Recently needed to host a business lunch for 7 folks on February 14th near the World Trade Center. There is not a lot of nicer restaurant options in that area, and I was familiar with Atrio as I'd stayed at the Conrad before. I was easily able to book for 7, and then increase it to 10 with no difficulty.
We arrived early and were seated but were informed we couldn't order before 11:30 when they officially open for lunch. I understand if the kitchen is ready yet, but it makes no sense for us to not be able to place an order and get in the queue.
The food was good, and I was happy to see that the portions were large, and thus it could be considered good value (if that's possible in Manhattan). As we wound up the meal service got a bit too lax; business diners really want to get in and out (or at least have that option).
One potentially important side note: near the end of the meal I glanced over at a 3-top by the window. There was what appeared to be a service dog beneath one of the chairs (black lab mix wearing a pink tabard and it had a handle). Looking over again later that dog had gotten up on one of the seats and was actively sniffing/licking items on the table. I could then see that it was NOT a service dog, but just dressed up to look like one. The dog was not disruptive, but as much as I love dogs I do not want them licking tables, especially if it's at a restaurant. I've noticed over the last 6 months the large increase in airports of so-called "comfort" dogs. While I have some sympathy for those who get anxious traveling the number of incidents of misbehaving I have seen (mainly in airports) is a disturbing trend (licking, urination, etc.). I hope airports, hotels, and restaurants start addressing this issue.
Terrific brunch buffet!
Food delivered at diff times. Bacon not hot and overcooked. Service eh.
We visited for breakfast on Sunday morning. We had a 930am reservation and had to wait until 955am to be seated. We waited 10 minutes at the table and a server never came to say hi, offer coffee, give us a menu, or take an order. We gave up and grabbed food from the buffet. We ate our food. Still, no one ever came to our table. We caught the maitre d' on our way out to report that we'd never been served and never received a check. He sent us on our way and apologized.
Convenient in Battery Park - uber modern Conrad and well located. Good meeting place for friends, visitors and business meals. Friendly service and good coffee. Dont love buffets for breakfast but food was good and fresh.
Place with Great service. Great food. A little expensive.
The food was very nice (great scallops) and very good service.
First time experience was wonderful - great food and outstanding and attentive service.
Worst service. Food was not memorable. We won't be back.
A friend and I made reservations her for NYC Restaurant Week! We enjoyed the food and service! I normally would not go here but the deal we got for restaurant was well worth it!
Atrio Wine and Bar is a wonderful place to go whether for a romantic dinner or just go hang with friends. The decor and atmosphere is nice and you can easily talk. The restaurant is spacious and has comfortable sofas. The helpings are a bit small though for the price. But the food is tasty. I would definitely go again.
Fairly expensive restaurant in the lobby of a Conrad hotel. Sleek, modern space but no real view, also the hotel lobby space seems to blend into this restaurant which takes away from the elegance / experience.
My husband and I were staying at the Conrad Hotel and decided to try their dining room. Normally we don't eat at hotel dining rooms, but boy are we glad we dined at this one. All 3-courses of the Summer Restaurant Week menu were delicious. For starters we had grilled Portuguese octopus and braised Berkshire pork belly, then striped bass and Niman Ranch NY strip steak, followed by pistachio creme brûlée. Our table faced the Hudson River at sunset. We will definitely return for another meal.
Excellent food, good service until the end, when the server forgot about us in the empty restaurant (we had a very late lunch) and I had to track someone (anyone!) down for our check. Otherwise great.
Went for lunch during Summer Restaurant Week. Food and service was excellent. Loved the grilled octopus!
Great night all around went for a one on one with my daughter for an above average night out this fit the bill. Braised pork belly, grilled octopus and pistachio creme soo worth it.
😍. Such an amazing experience. Great ambiance and lovely food.
A relaxed yet elegant place to celebrate a special event or if you are just looking for an excellent meal. Appetizers of meatballs, frito misto, grilled octopus were delicious. Main courses ranging from pasta to grilled scallops were equally impressive. We are definitely coming back!
As hotel guests, we Open Table reserved and breakfasted at Atrio 2 mornings in a row. The 2nd morning, we had to wait 10 minutes, but self-serve coffee, juice, and continental breakfast items were offered for wait. Eggs were moist both days, and the unsweetened yoghurt with granola was excellent. Coffee press on the table was nice to keep the coffee flowing during scarce service, but the coffee quality was poor. Competitively priced for the neighborhood. Relatively quiet for breakfast.
This restaurant is inside the Conrad Hotel building. The food was good, most tender grilled octopus I've had in a while and the steak was good, too. The service was excellent and the ambiance was fine - I guess I was thinking it would be an unusual space because the name means "atrium" in Italian and have a view but it didn't. The atrium of the hotel from which you enter the trestaurant, however, is an impressive space and you can sit there and enjoy a cokltail as well.
