Atmosphere Bistro Ratings and Reviews
Hands down the best meal my husband and I have ever had! Friendly, professional staff and the food was far superior than any other place we've ever eaten. Our server, Velicia, was absolutely perfect, as was the meal. The escargot is amazing. My husband had the venison, and I had the scallops. We finished off the evening with creme brulee. Everything from the moment we stepped inside was absolutely divine.
My wife and I have come here for years and greatly enjoy the food and the staff that we interact with. The food was very good but the waiter we had was some what stiff. Nothing bad but very different from the typical staff we are accustomed to. We would still recommend this restaurant to others.
Were enjoying quiet meal in half-empty restaurant. They seated NOISY party of 5 next to us in small room. Got noisier when party of 5 learned restaurant had not prepared special meal ordered a week ago. Leaving, I complained to manager about seating that group next to us in small room. He said absolutely nothing - then followed me to parking lot and LOUDLY told me if I did not like the way he ran his restaurant, not to come back. Obviously I will not.
This was both disappointing and unpleasant. We have eaten there dozens of times over a decade or more, and while, in my opinion, the place has been in slow decline, this behavior by the owner manager was stunningly unacceptable.
"Atmosphere" lived up to its name! What a wonderful little gem of a restaurant in a quaint old structure. I joined some friends there hoping for a quiet place for good conversation and good food. Atmosphere did NOT disappoint! The ambience was wonderful and so was the food. The prices were much better than I expected. I have already recommended Atmosphere to a colleague at work, and I hope to go back soon.
We generally have great meals and service here. On this night There were several large parties there that got most of the attention. We were seated next to one and it was very noisy. My dish was unspectacular and had far too much garlic in it. It was inedible. The other three in my party enjoyed their meals. But the service and atmosphere were lacking this time.
The bread and wine by the glass was good. The salmon, without the sides, was good. The risotto, sides and coq au vin were greasy and tasteless. Also, we were there on a very cold evening and our seats by the windows were drafty. We never warmed up. Our experience was "fair." There are so many excellent restaurants in Atlanta, that we won't be back.
Our experience here was impeccable! The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was authentically French! We ordered the duck and the lamb. Both were excellent! For dessert, we had the apple tart and the chocolate mousse. Again, both were wonderful. This was an ideal way to celebrate our engagement, which happened earlier in the day. When the staff found out we had just gotten engaged they sent over complimentary glasses of champagne, which was incredibly thoughtful. Atmosphere will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We plan to come back at least yearly on this day to celebrate our relationship. Thanks for making our night special!
Food is always good. Classic French cuisine. Nothing exceptional. But consistently good. Our server that day though was less than qualified for the job. He didn’t know the menu, kept forgetting things and then got mad because he had to make extra steps. Probably not the right career for him. We did not let it affect our spirits and had an enjoyable brunch anyway. But we will definitely ask for a different server next time.
On vacation from Miami. We love neighborhood gems so thought we would try out Atmosphere Bistro. The food and service were both decent. Owner was warm and friendly. We started with tasty Tuna Tartar for appetizer. Out of our 3 main dishes ( Mussels, Lamb loin, Chicken) my daughters chicken (Con au Vin) was the tastiest. Everything was good!
My wife loves escargot and I know nothing about French food so I picked this restaurent according to the rating. The drive is worth going. The restaurant is an old Atlanta style house. Very well kept and seemed clean, I wandered around 😁. The tables were rather close, I thought they could take 1 out and it would make a big difference. We were there later in the evening; I thought our waiter looked a little disheveled but he was polite and on top of things. Everything seemed to slightly echo so conversations were kept low and the music was fantastic. The food was OMG! No words can describe but orgasmic ecstasy comes close. The bill was slightly more than what I was planning and way too expensive for everyday dining. Definitely in the top 10 ethnic formal dining.
We had a party of 8 and sat at 8:30 on a Saturday. We sampled a large number of dishes as a result. I used to enjoy Atmosphere but these days I think there are better options out there. Service was attentive but not sophisticated. The soup course was the best part of the whole meal. Drinks were mediocre- how do you mess up a French 75? Coq Au Vin was also forgettable, the bland pasta side item is a bizarre choice. The profiteroles we tasty, as was the mousse but the creme brulee was less than stellar. All in all, I can’t say I’ll be rushing back.
Had a wonderful date night dinner. Service is definitely 5 stars, fine dinning. The food was delicious and very well prepared. We had the filet and the duck. It’s a small house like restaurant so the only down side is if your sat next to a table with loud talkers it can be slightly annoying but that’s not really the restaurants fault. We will definitely be back.
