The mood is romantic and mellow cool with soft lighting.
The theme of relaxed, inviting elegance extends to the bar and the patio.
The menu offers great classics such as Escargots in garlic butter, Duck confit, as well as Mussels marinieres or Scallops with mushroom raviolis.
From best French restaurant to best 100 overall restaurant, atmosphere has an impressive collection of awards and "Best of" nominations since its opening in 2002.
No wonder it is rated excellent by Zagat revue and #1 French restaurant in the city.
Atmosphere, finally a bistro that is not just trendy!

A bit out if the way but the food was great and the atmosphere cozy. Parking though was somewhat a challenge.
Poor service can ruin a restaurant experience and that is what happened, for the second time out of 3 times that we have been to Atmosphere.
The food is delicious but the waiters seem distracted, make excuses for the service, keep thanking us for our patience, yada yada.
We will not return even though we love the food. There are too many other restaurants that concentrate on the food AND the service.
What a shame!
Excellent! A treasure in Atlanta!
We brought friends to the restaurant, having recommended it. We waited so long for drinks and for food that we were embarrassed. We recognize that there can be crises in the kitchen, issues with the wait staff. But the thing to do is to tell your guests as soon as it becomes apparent. And then you should comp the meal or offer some more drinks for free or something if the waiting goes on. We had to ask several times about our meals. By the time free dessert was offered, we had had it.
The service was impeccable; the dining elegant and the food excellent traditional French cuisine. I especially appreciate that, although energetic, there is not excessive noise so that one may have a pleasant conversation.
Love it. Food. Service. All of it is always great!
We had a delightful evening with 7 people. Food was wonderful, and we had a room to ourselves.
Lovely as always.
Wonderful food and relaxing atmosphere. Very charming and excellent staff.
Wow, the food was very disappointing. Almost flavorless at times. I had escargots, which were cooked to the right doneness but the seasoning was very lacking. Trout almondine has lots of oily butter without deep butter flavor and again, not enough seasoning to taste distinct from plain fish. Guess what? Same deal with potatoes and veggies. I guess if you like your foods plain then you might like this. I was hoping for gourmet to match the prices, descriptions, atmosphere and mostly to match my memory of what this restaurant used to be.
The food was so good and was made with fresh ingredients! I will definitely be returning soon!
The restaurant did not have olives for a martini. The lamb entree was unavailable. The beef steak was undercooked and the potatoes were too salty. The service was super slow and it took over an hour to get the meal. The fixe- price was also way to expensive and the food was of poor quality.
New Year’s fixed price with delayed courses and sold-out main entree.
My husband so why did it take so long for it to be served in the first place? All told we were there almost 3 hours - on hard chairs. Toward the end of the evening, the owner came out and brought a table near us complimentary glasses of champagne & offered the other table in the room something complimentary. Even though the server told us that the owner was well aware of how long we'd had to wait, she never even came over to apologize. Nice. The final coup was that after all of that time I accidentally left my wine cooler. I emailed the restaurant about it and never even received a response. Won't be back.
We dined New Year's Eve 2019 and enjoyed the special prix fixe dinner--3 choices each for appetizer, entree, and dessert. The steak I chose was tasty and cooked to perfection with a delicious brown sauce, nicely cooked green beans, and less successful potatoes. The smoked salmon appetizer was good, with an endive topping. (I'm not an endive fan, but I ate everything). I chose the lime sorbet with grey goose vodka as my dessert and enjoyed the mix of flavors. Would order again. Very nice restaurant, where we have dined several times.
Food was excellent as usual, but waiter was not good...very slow and unprofessional. Service at Atmosphere has always been incredible until tonight.
Consistently superb, as usual! One of the best kept secrets in Atlanta. With 25 years of ownership in the same French native skilled management hands--hard to beat. Highly recommend!!!
Only option was the prix fixe menu. At 8 PM they were out of one of the entrees already/ we never received one of our courses/ and it took 2 hours.... not worth the money spent. And worst of all I was charged full price even though we didn’t get all 4 courses. Ordered another round of drinks, waited 30 minutes and finally said not worth it let’s go....
Outstanding cuisine with a charming waitstaff makes for a memorable evening! I brought a friend over the summer and she loved it so much she brought her husband for the very special Christmas Eve dinner! I was so surprised to see her there and she said it was because I had introduced her to this very special place!! The food is consistently delicious and Atmosphere is a wonderful neighborhood bistro!!
Wonderful restaurant with great food
The prix fixe menu for Christmas Eve had 3 choices for an appetizer and 3 choices for a main course. We tried all three and they were excellent.
Superb meal and service. I can't wait to return.
My partner and I are spending Christmas apart, so we decided to start out with a special dinner at Atmosphere. We were cordially greeted by the hostess and immediately seated in a cozy spot with just the right volume to carry on conversation. Our table server was kind, collegial, and humorous - making great recommendations and helping us with our French. The meal was superb! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
This was our second visit and there will be many more to come!!!
Excellent food and service. It was great for our work holiday late lunch. Felt a bit rushed as we were the last reservation of the day.
Incredible food. Impeccable service. Every time.
I have already recommended it to a friend and plan to go back next month
Food was excellent, service way to slow, with drinks, taking order and checking on us (water, more drinks, bringing and processing check). Kept telling us how busy he was, very pleasant and nice but slow.
Based on most recent experience, no.
We have had better experiences overall there in the past.
Lovely food and great atmosphere. Very friendly waiter, as well, with knowledge of wine.
My friends and I enjoyed an outstanding dinner at Atmosphere for our annual Christmas party. They happily accommodated our request for a quiet corner of the restaurant. Food and service were top notch, as usual. Thank you, Atmosphere!
Wonderful, quiet beautiful quaint restaurant. Food outstanding and server Kathryn very helpful. We have been to France many many times and their food is equally as good if not better. Escargot, carpaccio, duck confeit, veal etc etc great. Only disappointment was the coffee, was rather bland, so 5 stars.. and the bar drinks made up for the coffee.
Authentic French cooking at its finest. Having lived in Paris for a few years it felt like we were back there reliving all the wonderful meals we used to have. Wonderful.
Outstanding, gracious service. Charming restaurant. Staff is from France. Excellent lemon drop martini, parisian steak frite and we loved , loved the profiteroles!
This is. Very nice restaurant and well worth a visit. The menu is very French as you would expect. In face we took three starters as we couldn’t quite decide ! All were delicious. Main courses were both very well done. Good wine list with some interesting French options ! Service a little slack but overall not bad. Good choice for something different and authentic !
I had been told my a total foodie that Atmosphere was the best French restaurant in town, and was a value as lagniappe. We found that to me true along with attentive service and a cozy, unpretentious atmosphere.
We took our visiting offspring during Thanksgiving but will return.
Some highs and lows, made a reservation two months in advance for thanksgiving weekend and were seated right near kitchen which was very disappointing considering the reservation was made so early. The scallops and lamb were outstanding but the duck was dry and had very little flavor when I mentioned to waitress she said “Ohh that’s too bad”. Got french onion soup that was delivered with no spoon and a house salad that had practically no dressing, both times we had to wait on waitress to correct. One outstanding item was the octopus’s appetizer and the house bread. Really not sure if positive food items outweighed the negative experience.
The service was entirely too slow and the food seemed like it was prepared by someone not skilled enough to live up to the reputation of the restaurant
Wait staff was very knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. Meals were delicious.
