The mood is romantic and mellow cool with soft lighting.
The theme of relaxed, inviting elegance extends to the bar and the patio.
The menu offers great classics such as Escargots in garlic butter, Duck confit, as well as Mussels marinieres or Scallops with mushroom raviolis.
From best French restaurant to best 100 overall restaurant, atmosphere has an impressive collection of awards and "Best of" nominations since its opening in 2002.
No wonder it is rated excellent by Zagat revue and #1 French restaurant in the city.

Lovely food and great atmosphere. Very friendly waiter, as well, with knowledge of wine.
My friends and I enjoyed an outstanding dinner at Atmosphere for our annual Christmas party. They happily accommodated our request for a quiet corner of the restaurant. Food and service were top notch, as usual. Thank you, Atmosphere!
Wonderful, quiet beautiful quaint restaurant. Food outstanding and server Kathryn very helpful. We have been to France many many times and their food is equally as good if not better. Escargot, carpaccio, duck confeit, veal etc etc great. Only disappointment was the coffee, was rather bland, so 5 stars.. and the bar drinks made up for the coffee.
Authentic French cooking at its finest. Having lived in Paris for a few years it felt like we were back there reliving all the wonderful meals we used to have. Wonderful.
Outstanding, gracious service. Charming restaurant. Staff is from France. Excellent lemon drop martini, parisian steak frite and we loved , loved the profiteroles!
This is. Very nice restaurant and well worth a visit. The menu is very French as you would expect. In face we took three starters as we couldn’t quite decide ! All were delicious. Main courses were both very well done. Good wine list with some interesting French options ! Service a little slack but overall not bad. Good choice for something different and authentic !
I had been told my a total foodie that Atmosphere was the best French restaurant in town, and was a value as lagniappe. We found that to me true along with attentive service and a cozy, unpretentious atmosphere.
We took our visiting offspring during Thanksgiving but will return.
Some highs and lows, made a reservation two months in advance for thanksgiving weekend and were seated right near kitchen which was very disappointing considering the reservation was made so early. The scallops and lamb were outstanding but the duck was dry and had very little flavor when I mentioned to waitress she said “Ohh that’s too bad”. Got french onion soup that was delivered with no spoon and a house salad that had practically no dressing, both times we had to wait on waitress to correct. One outstanding item was the octopus’s appetizer and the house bread. Really not sure if positive food items outweighed the negative experience.
The service was entirely too slow and the food seemed like it was prepared by someone not skilled enough to live up to the reputation of the restaurant
Wait staff was very knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. Meals were delicious.
Excellent food. We went for Thanksgiving dinner. The duck and scallops were both excellent.
I’ve never had a bad meal there.
Always well done, nice ambiance, traditional cuisine, we go once a month or so. Tuesday is half price wine night.
Loved the atmosphere at the atmosphere. Food was great, service was good until it got busy and then it was slow. Found a mistake on bill after we got home. Was charged for a virgin Bloody Mary which we never got. Overall it was a good experience
Cocktail service was very slow and the halibut was cold but otherwise everything great.
Lovely place in a homey setting. Very romantic feeling. Food was tasty and reminded me of my trip to France. A good variety of food and wines. A bit strange to be charged for the dessert that we didn't order(it was one of those birthday desserts.) Plus we had already ordered a dessert. Still will return.
Fabulous! We loved our waitress. She was friendly and knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Atmosphere’s menu. The food did not disappoint—delicious! Orders came quickly and beautifully plated.
Also it was pleasant to be able to enjoy conversation. The noise level was very low. Really only needed one word to review—FABULOUS!
I love this restaurant. We went for our anniversary. It is quiet and intimate; a rare find in Atlanta. The food is outstanding and the wait staff (Victor) was so professional and kind. Can’t think of anywhere I’d want to go to celebrate or just to have a nice dinner and talk (not yell).
Table was relatively private which was good but we were right under speaker.
Our server tried to be engaging but he came off as cocky and made a number of small mistakes (which weren’t all that consequential but in the aggregate became slightly annoying).
Food was nicely prepared.
Short on wait staff but they told us that when we arrived and the waiters we had were working really hard to keep up. Seated in back room which was very cold. Food was great as usual. Some glitches but we will definitely go back.
Everything was great from the service to the food. We celebrated a friend's birthday and the food had great flavor.
Very pleasant- nice ambiance for a professional meeting
The place was pretty empty but they put the three of us in a little round table in an inside wall to wall corner right next to the entrance to the kitchen. The whole lunch I was watching the wall which was only 3 feet away or all the servers in and out of the kitchen. The place has a little old musky smell to it which is not too pleasant.
The mussels and hanger steak were very good! Salmon was very thin and over cooked. Ordered medium rare, served bone dry well done. Most unfortunately that was my guest’s order. Very Embarrassing. It was our first time there and I even told the host how much we were looking forward to the meal. No acknowledgment and not even a welcome. We may come back for the food but probably no guests.
The restaurant is quaint and lovely and the lighting was just about perfect.
It must have been an tough night for the wait staff. The service was extremely slow and when we got our coquilles Saint Jacques it was cold.
Excellent service. My wife is gluten-free. The waitress and staff where very attentive to her restrictions. The food was wonderful. Liked the small intimate setting.
The food is consistently excellent as is the service
The food and service were very good as usual. The waiter was attentive but not intrusive and did not rush us.
Overall, quite superb. A few items were not available. Wine list was well thought and food
The trout almandine and the salmon special were quite tasty.
Usually when we eat at Atmosphere, we sit out in the bar area. This time we were seated in the room directly behind the bar. It is a small room and with three tables filled, it is loud. From now on we’ll ask to sit in the front room.
Fav to go to when in town. Consistent quality and service.
Outstanding French Cuisine meets first class southern hospitality.
Food and the ambiance were great! It’s one of my favorite places in Atlanta.
Great experience! We will definitely dine here, again!
Tough to gps, but well worth the confusion! Really really outstanding. Our waiter was fun, funny, knowledgable, and very helpful. The food was remarkable. Going back next weekend!
Simply one of the best restaurants ATLANTA has to offer.
After all these years, the best and most consistent french restaurant in Atlanta! Wonderful food, service, and ambiance!
Celebrated our one year anniversary. It was a very cozy environment with good food. You can tell the people that work there are passionate about their craft. Food was great too!
The whole experience was “par excellence”!! Our waiter was engaging, polite, and very knowledgeable in his suggestions for us when we had queries. A hidden gem for a genuine French epicurean delight. Quite pleased from beginning to end, never feeling rushed so we could savor our meal. This restaurant should not be missed!! On my list of “The Best” in Atlanta.
Service was very slow. Had to ask to order twice and get check.
