The mood is romantic and mellow cool with soft lighting.
The theme of relaxed, inviting elegance extends to the bar and the patio.
The menu offers great classics such as Escargots in garlic butter, Duck confit, as well as Mussels marinieres or Scallops with mushroom raviolis.
From best French restaurant to best 100 overall restaurant, atmosphere has an impressive collection of awards and "Best of" nominations since its opening in 2002.
No wonder it is rated excellent by Zagat revue and #1 French restaurant in the city.

Great food. Scallops were heavenly.
As always very good experience. I still did not find a restaurant in Atlanta comparable to Atmosphere
Always a great lunch at Atmosphere! Brunch is easy and relaxing with a very low vibe! Thoroughly enjoyed!
In looking for a restaurant last Sunday while we were visiting Atlanta, the entry for Atmosphere had four essential words -- French, bistro, valet, wheelchair. It's a beautiful old house, many rooms with a few tables in each, so wherever you're sitting feels intimate. We split an order of escargot -- delicious, classically prepared, with just the right amount of garlic. I had scrambled eggs -- the soft rich luxurious kind, with some smoked salmon and some pommes frites. Everything perfectly balanced. Crisp, efficient, friendly service. I thought, if I lived in this neighborhood I'd be here at least twice a week. As it is, I'll have to wait for the next visit to Atlanta.
Atmosphere was amazing. The ambience is quaint. The cocktails are strong and the food was authentic and delicious! My husband and I have lived in France in the past and the food at Atmosphere was reminiscent of some of the amazing cuisine that we enjoyed while living abroad. Our service was impeccable—even down to our waiter speaking with us in French. It was such a pleasant experience. We will definitely return in the future.
This was our first time dining at Atmosphère Bistro. We had a wonderful time from the minute we arrived. Everyone was very friendly. Our server was extremely knowledgeable of the menu, the specials, and the ingredients of individual dishes. My husband ordered the French onion soup for his appetizer and I had salade maison. Both were delicious. My main course was the scallops in a creamy truffle sauce. This was the best scallops dish I’ve ever eaten. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his trout. For dessert we shared the chocolate raspberry mousse. It was a hit as well. Our server also brought out some ice cream with a hardened chocolate shell and candles for my birthday. I highly recommend Atmosphère Bistro for any occasion. We will definitely be back!
First time there had an amazing time will definitely go again waiter was great with recommendations.
Wonderful evening. Great variety on a prix fixe menu. From the shellfish to the beef tenderloin, both were perfectly done (to our specific order) and were served at the same time (a difficult task with a full restaurant in the best of conditions).
Wonderful Amazing and romantic experience at the restaurant. This was also my 1st time using open table and I was impressed with the service.
The service was a bit lackadaisical, but the food was excellent. My date had liver (eww) and said it was delicious (okay). I had the scallops and wild mushroom ravioli, which were superb. I think they could be a little more generous, as there were only 3 scallops, but it was all fabulous. I loved the salade maison and wish I could get the recipe for their dressing!
Awesome as usual. Best deal in the ATL excellent wait staff and sophisticated patrons. Chef rocks it. Bring it!
The place is pricey but worth it. Food is delicious, and atmosphere is lovely. There is not enough parking, so plan ahead on that.
Perfect spot for a romantic date night. Intimate with great food and great service!
We had several life events to celebrate, and I was looking for a special place to do so. Atmosphere filled the bill on all counts. Dim lighting added to the ambience but wasn't so low that you couldn't read the menu. From the shared appetizer (Escargots en croute) to desserts (creme brûlée and chocolate lava cake), the service was attentive but not overbearing. I'm so glad we've discovered this little gem and can't wait for another reason to celebrate. Definitely recommend!
The food as usual was very good. The server was attentive but not intrusive. The noise level was rather loud because of a couple of diners who were talking too loudly.
I've been wanting to try Atmosphere for some time now and am so happy I finally ate there. Went for brunch on Saturday. The food and service were both outstanding. Try the St. Germain Prosecco cocktail - refreshing and delicious! Also had the French onion soup and the mesclun mixed greens salad, which were both flavorful and filling. The friend I was with had the scrambled eggs dish and a bloody mary. We'll definitely be back!!!
A bit out if the way but the food was great and the atmosphere cozy. Parking though was somewhat a challenge.
This was my first time dining here for lunch. It was a very nice experience the food was good, the ambiance was nice and we were able to have a conversation. We have dined here many times in the evening and have always had a good experience, and now will even recommend it for lunch.
Poor service can ruin a restaurant experience and that is what happened, for the second time out of 3 times that we have been to Atmosphere.
The food is delicious but the waiters seem distracted, make excuses for the service, keep thanking us for our patience, yada yada.
We will not return even though we love the food. There are too many other restaurants that concentrate on the food AND the service.
What a shame!
Excellent! A treasure in Atlanta!
We brought friends to the restaurant, having recommended it. We waited so long for drinks and for food that we were embarrassed. We recognize that there can be crises in the kitchen, issues with the wait staff. But the thing to do is to tell your guests as soon as it becomes apparent. And then you should comp the meal or offer some more drinks for free or something if the waiting goes on. We had to ask several times about our meals. By the time free dessert was offered, we had had it.
The service was impeccable; the dining elegant and the food excellent traditional French cuisine. I especially appreciate that, although energetic, there is not excessive noise so that one may have a pleasant conversation.
Love it. Food. Service. All of it is always great!
We had a delightful evening with 7 people. Food was wonderful, and we had a room to ourselves.
Lovely as always.
Wonderful food and relaxing atmosphere. Very charming and excellent staff.
Wow, the food was very disappointing. Almost flavorless at times. I had escargots, which were cooked to the right doneness but the seasoning was very lacking. Trout almondine has lots of oily butter without deep butter flavor and again, not enough seasoning to taste distinct from plain fish. Guess what? Same deal with potatoes and veggies. I guess if you like your foods plain then you might like this. I was hoping for gourmet to match the prices, descriptions, atmosphere and mostly to match my memory of what this restaurant used to be.
The food was so good and was made with fresh ingredients! I will definitely be returning soon!
The restaurant did not have olives for a martini. The lamb entree was unavailable. The beef steak was undercooked and the potatoes were too salty. The service was super slow and it took over an hour to get the meal. The fixe- price was also way to expensive and the food was of poor quality.
New Year’s fixed price with delayed courses and sold-out main entree.
My husband so why did it take so long for it to be served in the first place? All told we were there almost 3 hours - on hard chairs. Toward the end of the evening, the owner came out and brought a table near us complimentary glasses of champagne & offered the other table in the room something complimentary. Even though the server told us that the owner was well aware of how long we'd had to wait, she never even came over to apologize. Nice. The final coup was that after all of that time I accidentally left my wine cooler. I emailed the restaurant about it and never even received a response. Won't be back.
We dined New Year's Eve 2019 and enjoyed the special prix fixe dinner--3 choices each for appetizer, entree, and dessert. The steak I chose was tasty and cooked to perfection with a delicious brown sauce, nicely cooked green beans, and less successful potatoes. The smoked salmon appetizer was good, with an endive topping. (I'm not an endive fan, but I ate everything). I chose the lime sorbet with grey goose vodka as my dessert and enjoyed the mix of flavors. Would order again. Very nice restaurant, where we have dined several times.
Food was excellent as usual, but waiter was not good...very slow and unprofessional. Service at Atmosphere has always been incredible until tonight.
Consistently superb, as usual! One of the best kept secrets in Atlanta. With 25 years of ownership in the same French native skilled management hands--hard to beat. Highly recommend!!!
Only option was the prix fixe menu. At 8 PM they were out of one of the entrees already/ we never received one of our courses/ and it took 2 hours.... not worth the money spent. And worst of all I was charged full price even though we didn’t get all 4 courses. Ordered another round of drinks, waited 30 minutes and finally said not worth it let’s go....
Outstanding cuisine with a charming waitstaff makes for a memorable evening! I brought a friend over the summer and she loved it so much she brought her husband for the very special Christmas Eve dinner! I was so surprised to see her there and she said it was because I had introduced her to this very special place!! The food is consistently delicious and Atmosphere is a wonderful neighborhood bistro!!
Wonderful restaurant with great food
