The mood is romantic and mellow cool with soft lighting.
The theme of relaxed, inviting elegance extends to the bar and the patio.
The menu offers great classics such as Escargots in garlic butter, Duck confit, as well as Mussels marinieres or Scallops with mushroom raviolis.
From best French restaurant to best 100 overall restaurant, atmosphere has an impressive collection of awards and "Best of" nominations since its opening in 2002.
No wonder it is rated excellent by Zagat revue and #1 French restaurant in the city.
Atmosphere, finally a bistro that is not just trendy!

In my opinion, Atmosphere is THE "Go-To" restaurant for an authentic French dining experience. The food is genuinely delicious French cusine - comparable to any meal I've had in France. The personnel speak French and provide SUPERB service. I found the scollops and the chocolate mousse to be EXCEPTIONAL. The wine selection is extensive - both French and domestic.
This is a classic - french bistro with awesome tasting food in a cozy little house. Lots to like!
Thank you very much for nice time with our friends.
Our server was over-bearing; food predictably good; place looking rundown (ramp entry and bathrooms).
Lovely pre-concert dinner. Atmosphere is a favorite, excellent food, drinks, and service always.
Our lunch was excellent and our server William was also excellent. It was my birthday, and I loved the Escargot and Profiteroles. I should also add the Salmon was cooked exactly as I ordered it. It was a wonderful birthday with GREAT Food and GREAT Service. I might add the wine wasn't bad either.
I’ve been going to Atmosphere for several years, a few times a year. They are consistently top-flight in terms of food and service. Also, the restaurant has a reasonable noise level and one can carry on an enjoyable conversation with dinner companions with no problems. Lots of Atlanta restaurants are too noisy for conversation, so this last point is especially nice. Highly recommended!
Four of us ate on March 23 and six of us ate April 7, we have never had a bad meal at Atmosphere. Their escargot and rolls are just scrumptious. The steak with frites also delicious. One in our group believes Atmosphere has the best Carpaccio he has tasted. Another friend had the Cassoulet and all that was left was the bottom of the plate, it was delicious.
The food and service was truly wonderful. I will be going back for sure again in the future.
Excellent restaurant, a little pricey but worth it. The food is simply delightful. The house is great too, but a very strange couple was seated next to us this time, scheming aloud to cheat the establishment out of a meal. Very uncool, but not the restaurant's fault. Fantastic destination for special occasions.
We so looked forward to a return visit after our last experience in October...but it was not as good due to very poor service..our waiter literally left us and I had to ask the server at the bar for our bill.
The escargots were good...as was the duck...but lacked the same flavor as our last meal. Consistency is everthing... so for that reason my rating dropped
Fantastic food, intimate ambience, and good service. Worthwhile experience and excellent meal to celebrate having the family in town. Would also be a perfect romantic spot for date night.
We've enjoyed dinner here many times and this was our first brunch. As always food was great. Our server was friendly and informative about brunch items.
Our only concern is that when we tried to use gift cards to pay their system would not accept them.
Needless to say for anyone when you're told they're DECLINED it's uncomfortable. She explained that their system doesn't accept them (we tried AMEX & MC). What would they do if that was the only form of payment that you had?
Food was excellent and reasonably priced for a French meal of this quality.
Great, authentic French cuisine. Very nice staff. Have been to many French Restaurants in Atlanta, and this was one of the best meals I have had at any of them.
Lovely Saturday brunch.......nice atmosphere , easy to talk and great food.
Great atmosphere. Excellent service. Delightful food.
Altogether, very good experience. Exceptional food and service. The restaurant is a house conversion with a residential Atlanta/french charm. Our server, JD, was fantastic. As were the food specials and wine selection. A little bit pricier than I like to regularly spend in order to become a regular patron, but I would recommend the establishment for a quiet date or get together.
Reliable, authentic, comforting. These are all qualities I associate with Atmosphere. A generally cozy environment, well done classics, and good value for money for the type of food they serve. I have been a customer for nearly twenty years, and it remains a place I'd recommend.
Our server Katie was wonderful. She did not make us feel rushed and was gracious and helpful. Food was great!
This restaurant is wonderful, from the staff to the food I highly recommend it!
Consistently good, occasionally too much salt is added for our tastes, but we learned to request low salt. It is very close to authentically French IMHO, and not over priced.
Only quiet restaurant around--especially for business-oriented lunches.
Overall good food and good value. Service was good.
The barrel cut ribeye and the group or were both excellent. The service was friendly and attentive and the drink was very good as well.
Delicious food and great wine.
Consistently good food that seems to be getting even better. Great “atmosphere” for a delightful dining experience.
We enjoyed some things...scallops especially. Disappointed in the pork chop...little flavor and very tough. Chicken was good, not outstanding, profiteroles would have been wonderful but the choc sauce was not the best or thick enough.
Waiter was ok, but didn’t make it a memorable experience.
It was my adult daughters birthday. Our waiter, Kyle, was fantastic from the moment we sat down. Our food and wine were wonderful, the “Atmosphere “ is cozy and friendly. We tell all our friends about this very special restaurant.
The escargot was amazing. Great French restaurant!
This is our theater restaurant between Druid Hills and Pershing Point, where Synchronicity is located. Good salmon special and Coquilles. They’ve got a NZ Sauvignon Blanc on the wine list.
Everything we had was amazing! The wine was Superb and the service was outstanding. Our waitress Katie was so attentive and all her recommendations were on point. We had the Amarone —Ca’ Bertoldi—pricey but worth it if you are a wino like I am and love Italian wines. I am definitely going back!! Yum! Oh!! I forgot to mention what we had! We had the mushroom soup—to die for! The mussels were awesome and the scallops were delish! Trust me! You will love it...ambiance is great. This is my new favorite place.
Excellent food and service! We could see the attention to detail with every drink or dish - in true French fashion. We will be back the next time we are in town!
Fabulous meal! Service was outstanding and the food was delicious. So glad we discovered this gem. Can’t wait to go back
as always the food was delicious . . . this time, however, i thought our served was too chummy and the sommelier was outright rude about my wife’s choice of an argentine malbec over a bittle of french win . . . she quickky put him in his place and he sttaightened up . . .
This is my favorite brunch spot. I love the eggs benedict and the fact that it comes with fries and a salad. This is one of few good restaurants where it is quiet enough to carry on a conversation, which is greatly appreciated.
