Atlas Grill and Clubroom Ratings and Reviews
The service and the food was good. Because it is out in the open it is pretty loud. I was disappointed when I arrived to find out that they didn't have my reservation for 10 which was confirmed earlier in an email the day of. They said not to worry and accommodated us but had no real explanation for why they didn't have my reservation.
The scene was impersonal and uninviting when we dined there on a Monday evening, with only two tables taken in the huge, bright place. The food and service were about average. Nothing to write home about. The place is designated as mediteranean and romantic, but you’d be hard pressed to find anything on the menu or in the vibe to justify either designation. Prices are reasonable.
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our shrimp curry wraps at the Atlas Grill. The waiter brought out a free dessert for my birthday and sang Happy Birthday! The staff is always friendly and the food is always excellent! I bring my friends to the Atlas whenever there is a chance to eat out.
Just from walking into the restaurant we had amazing service and the manager personally made sure everything was great and to our liking. The restaurant was open in the building, kind of felt like a cafe almost. The food was was so fresh and the waiting time from ordering to the plate getting to the table was so quick. Everything was delicious!! I highly recommend going here just for some good food and great service!!! I will definitely be coming back!
Definitely not what I expected. The pictures online are of their dining room however they sit people in the atrium. This was located in the US Bank Plaza building and felt awkward. The food was okay and the service was outstanding. I think I was attracted to the 1000 open table points but I am not sure I will come back.
It was a good dinner with really good food. We enjoyed the Shared Meat Platter and the variety was really good to taste. Unfortunately they were having work done on the dining room so we ate in the courtyard open to the bank building which wasn't quite the ambiance we were looking for but otherwise the food and service made up for it.
Went for a business meeting, good experience all the way around. I made reservations and we got right in. The table was fine for our business meeting. We each tried different menu items. I had the Hearts of Palm salad with seafood (shrimp/scallops) it was good, the flavor was muted but good. The shrimp and scallops were done well, not over or under cooked. I'd go again.
Very attractive lunch spot with highly attentive and friendly server. Interesting and varied menu, moderate prices that seemed appropriate. Food was tasty, although not stellar. Distance between tables allows conversation without eavesdropping. Table was ready when we arrived, right on schedule. Recommend for lunch or dinner.
My absolute favorite downtown lunch venue. Been frequenting since the day they opened. Greeted at door with familiar faces, consistent, fabulous food. Those of us that work in the US Bank building are so fortunate to have this famous restaurant to visit with just an elevator ride!
It was lunch for my birthday. I was never asked if I had a reservation when we arrived. We were just seated in the open area and the waiter walked away. It took forever to place an order. The waiter never wrote down our order and after helpig another table asked us what we ordered again. My daughter's food came and mine didn't. He had to reorder my meal. We arrived at 11:35 and I did not have food at 12:30. I had to ask for my coffee to be refilled. This was my first visit to the Atlas. Not sure if I will come again. The Sea Bass was amazing. Will probably not come again.
Atlas is one of my easy, go-to restaurants for a business or casual lunch. It is centrally located to everything in downtown Minneapolis, and has a more casual "atrium" table area, as well as a more intimate "business-appropriate" dining room for quieter conversations. The wait staff is always very attentive, without being the least bit annoying. And the food is very reasonably priced.
We had a wonderful first experience here. My husband and I, and our three kids met a family member who was in town on business here for a Thursday dinner. They don't have a kids' menu, but were extremely accomodating and made chicken tenders for the kids. The service was outstanding. The food was spectacular. We will definitely go back, probably for a date night next time.
I work in the same building that Atlas is in so it's convenient. Overall it was just okay. Service was friendly - they do seem like they aim to please. My one problem was that I ordered their shrimp curry wrap, which I've had before. What I got was a tortilla jam-packed with rice, some grilled peppers and a few shrimp. If anything, I tasted dill. There was absolutely no sign of anything "curry". I wanted to taste at least some hint of curry powder. What I got was something so bland, I couldn't even identify what it was seasoned with.
Had reservations for 6:30; arrived at 6:15 and was seated immediately. The place was fairly empty but soon we saw a party of about 30 people arrive. Once seated, no one came to even take our drink order for at least 15 minutes. We were about to leave when someone came. Food was good. Overall an OK experience but not a place we would necessarily recommend. Prices reasonable.
Love the South Carolina charm of the menu. Creative and delicious. Will have to go back and try more options! The roof top dining was reserved for a private event, but would be fun to dine up there. We had great service and delicious food. The beet salad is outrageous!
