need improvement on food urgently.
The food was very food. Beautiful atmosphere and the staff was very nice and helpful.
Gorgeous sunset view at this lovely restaurant by the ocean. The menu was limited as they are getting a new chef next week but what we had was very good. Jocelyn, our server, was very professional, friendly and attentive. I would recommend the Atlantica to friends and family.
The food was amazing. We requested for a table overlooking the ocean through the app and they delivered. Lovely view. It was an anniversary brunch well spent.
I would go back for the drinks, the food, and the staff. Everything was top notch, amazing!
Food was good no complaints. Service could have been better. The wait staff was noisy, we could hear their conversation in the kitchen.
ENJOYABLE AND RELAXING EXPERIENCE. GOOD FOOD AND VIEWS OF THE BOARDWALK.
Lovely place to take someone for a birthday dinner or just for a nice meal!
Food was good, which is what I expected for this type of restaurant. I will say one thing, the service was outstanding. I was floored by our server. If you happen to land in Reynaldo's section you are one lucky person. He accommodated my in laws who are both every elderly made them feel like a king and queen. Thank you Reynaldo!
Beautiful place, the service was fantastic and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back!
Nice spot. Loved it! Great time! Good views! Good spot!
This restaurant has a great location, it is on the Boardwalk of Long Beach. The decor is very modern and you can look out at the ocean if you can get a table near the window. The food is not particularly special but the wait staff are friendly and accommodating. On a scale of 1-5 the food is about 3.7 but the entire experience I feel is a 4.
The room is a stunner: terrific view of the ocean and Long Beach boardwalk, lovely jellyfish-shaped light fixtures, comfortable seating. Unfortunately the food is disappointing. We went for brunch: everything was lukewarm at best. The eggs benedict arrive without imagination and lukewarm. The surf-and-turf omelet have bits of lobster (surf) and bits of bacon (turf)...really? Of course lukewarm with a pile of home style potatoes. The buttermilk battered chicken was tasty and moist combined with almost inedible waffles (cold and stiff). We knew it wouldn't be great because the bread basket had day-old muffins and mini croissants. The pear tart was good but the chocolate fondant cake is merely a chocolate layer cake... nothing fondant about it. Our server Ren was adorable. Too bad the food is so mediocre but you can have a good time if you don't care.
I used a Groupon for lunch at the Atlantica which was accepted without hesitation. The restaurant is sleek and modern with a simply beautiful view of the Atlantic. I went with two friends and we all ordered salads which were extremely fresh and well seasoned. I can't comment on the wines or dessert as we did not order these. Service was very welcoming and efficient. The noise level was low but the place was not that crowded.
I would certainly recommend Atlantica for a lovely, tasty lunch and would return even without a Groupon.
We had a Groupon and went for dinner. The food was exceptional-we had the shrimp Martini with 5 large shrimps and the huge crab cake; then the herb crusted salmon and the Mediterranean Sea bass. Wonderful!
I really like taking out of town guests to this restaurant as it has a great view of the ocean and is right on the boardwalk. Service good, food great. No cons that I can think of.
WE HAD DINNER WHICH WAS VERY WELL PREPARED AND TASTED WONDERFULLY AS WELL.
It's beautiful place and great scenic views of the ocean. However, the food was not good. It lacked taste, freshness and presentation. I ordered a glass of red wine that was poured in a white wine glass which seemed to have to just been rinsed out since it was dripping in water when the waitress brought it over to the table, which sought of put me in a bad mood. I might be back for drinks in the spring or summer but will have to really think about giving them a second chance on dinner. Not worth the Groupon.
Went there several weeks earlier for the fabulous Sunday buffet brunch with our groupon and it was not mention that it was discontinued. Just couldn't waste a $100 groupon on a $40 brunch. Been there for dinner before and decided to use the coupon then and the food was prepared very good and delicious Never had such delicious oysters, but was over priced. I think they are trying to make up for the problems the hotel is having.
The food was great, very tasty. The view and ambiance was spectacular. I read the reviews of this restaurant before going, and even though they were not glowing, I decided to dine anyway. I am glad I did, I had a lovely birthday lunch with my husband. The service could use some improvement! I went for lunch, it was not crowded but the service was still very slow and they forgot to bring me one of my ordered side dishes, I ended up canceling it. All in all it was a good experience, I am glad I went and I would probably go back. During the day the view of the beach is priceless! It makes you forget that the service was not up to par.
Been there several times, mainly for the Sunday Brunch Buffet which was outstanding. According to the groupon the brunch was still there. It is not. We were looking forward to enjoying ourselves. They do have a Sunday ala carte brunch with a very limited menu and overpriced food. The food was just mediocre. Sorry, you had a great thing going. We didn't waste our groupon on this brunch, but saved it for a later dinner.
I've been to this restaurant several times over the past 5 years and it has steadily deteriorated. The hotel has suffered financially and it has affected the restaurant standards as well. Our server was stretched beyond as there was not enough wait staff and I must say he did a great job all things considered. As for the quality and presentation of the food, I'd have to say it was awful. The food was overcooked and served cold and when one at our table sent her plate back it returned inedible- reheated to the point of awful! Never again!
It's a beautiful place to have lunch, which makes up for a lot-- but not all-- of its shortcomings. Mussels were fresh and among the most delicious I've ever had... But salad was delivered brown and wilted, and the shrimp added atop it were tasteless and rubbery. Our waiter was friendly and eager to serve us (we were one of only 4 tables occupied), but our bottle of rose was delivered warm without apology, and we had to ask for an ice bucket and then wait for our wine to chill.
But, again, it's definitely the prettiest place in town, and if you order the mussels and ask for whatever wine happens to be chilled, it's a lovely lunch!
I went with my two best friends, one from Florida, and I wanted to impress them. They loved it so much not only did we have brunch there, after a day of walking and talking on the boardwalk, we went back for appetizers and drinks in the late afternoon. We sat outside (it was lovely). Service was ordinary. First server was new so we excused her. Afternoon server was very busy socializing so service was slow.
excellent delicious dinner but very poor service for the dinner
horrible breakfast but good morning service
Can't beat the beautiful ocean view. It took a while for food to get to table. Lobster ravioli were excellent. Lobster roll ok but way too much bread. It should have been served classic style on a soft bun. Fries were not hot. Overall I would go back and try something different.
Sub-par and very bland food. Sold out of many wines and then try to push 10$ bottles for 60$. What a shame because it is a very nice view.
Small menu but enough for every taste..liked it a lot
I have gone to this restaurant many times before because of the beautiful location but this may be the last time. We had relatives up from Florida and wanted them to experience the beautiful location of the beach. The menu has been greatly edited and no longer carries some of our favorite items. We tried the mussels but they were terrible. We sent them back..couldn't even stand the odor on the table.. We were charged for them...When we received the bill we asked that they be removed...My brother & I wanted to split the bill in to share the cost..something we always do..We gave our two credit cards..We were told that this would be a problem because it was three transactions..We were splitting the bill in two..They said they had to split each item line by line..I have NEVER heard of this before or has this ever happened..We were there 45 minutes waiting for our bill split equally in half so that we could each pay..The manager was not accommodating saying that it was because it was three transactions..IT WAS TWO..
The ambiance and view were fantastic, but the food was only okay. They seem to be in the midst of a change in management, and as a result had no written wine list which was odd. We had the Mediterranean dips and shrimp cocktail as appetizers. The dips were ok, three different dips, the pita was not the best- thin and dry. The shrimp cocktail only had four medium shrimp, so not much for sharing. I had the salmon for dinner, it was fine, but the mushroom risotto that came with it was bland. My husband had clams with linguine and also thought it lacked flavor. For dessert we had the chocolate cake which was fine, but nothing special.
One of the few, if not the only, place to eat and look at the Ocean, across the Boardwalk, in Long Beach. Understand it is coming under new management soon. A very basic menu, and pretty certain my Lobster Ravioli was prepared off-site. (Seems like they were running our of sauce!) Our waiter was pleasant, but not very present. Even though not full (maybe 60%) was very loud, with almost all hard surfaces. But, a great view, and that is what I was after.
Terrible service. Extreme lack of management. This restaurant disappointed on every level. They don't even have a wine list available - the staff had no knowledge of what wines they had to offer. The food was lacking any type of flavor. This experience was 100% the worst dining experience I have ever had. This hotel is beautiful with great views and they completely miss the mark in this restaurant. Mgmt of the hotel should be completely embarrassed of the product they provide. This restaurant, the staff and the chef should all be let go and they should start an entirely new concept.
Great food, great atmosphere & very attentive wait staff ... We had a large crowd & everyone was happy with our food.
The food was ok, but the service was really bad. I would not recommend this restaurant for this reason alone!
Unfortunately over the years my husband and I have been coming here, we've seen it change completely. Menu was seasonal and exciting when they started, service was attentive and knowledgeable. We even got engaged on the boardwalk outside. We hadn't been back in about a year and it's not the restaurant we remember. Food feels like we're eating at a wedding reception, no specials at all on the menu. The original chef has moved on and we are too.
Beautiful venue. Bad chef. Very limited menu. All of our food was terrible and low quality. Chicken was rubber. Fish was fishy. Drink were poorly made (female bartender couldnt make an old fashioned properly. Then when I attempted to ask for a sub for just scotch straight up, i got attitude). Wasnt busy and we waited one hour for our food. I mean the place literally was almost empty. The only saving grace this place has is the amazing atmosphere. I fear however this will not be enough to save it. Dont waste your time or money. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else
The brunch menu is very limited, food tastes very ordinary... nothing impressive about the food. Although, the place is very trendy the food doesn't equivocally goes with it. I was disappointed.
I attended a wedding a year ago at the Allegria and enjoyed the food, the beauty and view of the rooftop. The boardwalk is enjoyable and overall we had a wonderful dining date :)
The restaurant has an excellent view of the ocean and boardwalk. The interior is beautiful too. But once you get your food, it is a big disappointment. The food was very bland and not good at all for a great looking restaurant. The waiter said the restaurant is under new management and is trying to pan out a few kinks. I say get another chef. This restaurant has the potential of being a "happening" place. But the food is a big letdown. I hope they get it together.
We were so excited to drive out to long beach to dine at
sadly disappointed with the service.
