They did not have our opentable 10am brunch reservation in the system. We waited for an hour and followed up with the host a few times. Finally, around 11 we follow up again (we were sitting in front of him waiting the whole time) and he informs us that the dining room is closed until lunchtime (12), sorry he forgot to mention it but they are sooo understaffed. He suggested Riptides (greasy fried food) down the boardwalk. Waste of my Saturday morning. Allegria is a JOKE!!!!
It doesn't get better than dining with a ocean view. The shrimp tacos we're amazing. Felt very relaxed and went for a walk on the Boardwalk after. Great way to spend and anniversary.
We have been there before but this time it was really bad They had a party of 15 young girls at a table. They were so loud that you couldn’t hear the person across the table. Everyone was complaining about it and nothing was done. They should have been in the party room, not the main dining room. The food was below average. For the prices they charge you expect good food. Not going there anymore !
Such an amazing experience! The food, service and overall atmosphere was one that anyone would enjoy!! Do yourself a favor and go and have a blast!

Ambience and decor was great but is not an amazing place for good food, waiter took long to take the order and bring the food.
Food was very simple for what you pay for.
They didn’t have 3 things on the menu and they didn’t have the bottle of wine we ordered or anything else comparable. They took a long time to get back to us so we only ate and paid for our expensive shrimp appetizer and then went to another local restaurant. We had our wedding there and the air conditioning broke so we went on our anniversary to give it another shot and it was so disappointing
Service was terrible, we ordered drinks before ordering our meal and our first course arrived before our drinks did. It was almost 1/2 hour before our drinks arrived. I actually had to go up to the hostess and inquire where our drinks were. Had to send back one of the drinks as it was not what we ordered. Food was average at best. Not worth the money.
Disgraceful service! We had passes for a complimentary breakfast the hotel gave us because check in took hours. Showed them to the manager Mike. He took them & said he’ll take care of it when the bill comes. Explaining this to our waiter Mario after we ate, he didn’t believe us. We asked him to confirm with the manager Mike. Mario gave us an attitude & walked away mid conversation cursing y set his breath. The manager never came back and we had to speak to another manager all together. Wasting time, being spoken to like that on our vacation. At night, the waitress screwed up our entire meal that another waiter had to take over. The seafood was also not fresh and terrible. These managers themselves are inexperienced kids running not only the restaurant, but hotel. And it shows
Simply the worst experience. I made a reservation a month ago and they double booked my group of 10 people. We set by the bar with horrible service. The manager, Mike Frey, needs to learn hospitality and customer service 101. The staff was very inexperience and unable to provide basic service to our group. The list of issues is quite extensive and as a manager he should have handled the situation much better. Asking the staff to lie about his name, walking away when a customer is expressing their discontent about the issues during the dinner service, to not knowing how to apologize was very frustrating. I will not only go back, I will never recommend this place. Other guests from adjacent tables were joking about how the their experience has been equally negative. I hope upper management take a closer look at their restaurant customer service as I guarantee this is not an isolated issue.
Good spot but limited menu. Drinks pictures look better than they actually are. Drinks pictured with fresh fruit do not have it, they have a fruit liquor. For example the watermelon margarita was made with Midori. Wine list is lacking overall. Food was good. Service slow to start them quickly fed abs out. Nice buspersons. Very helpful. Compared to anything in walking distance it’s better than what you get on park Ave. Restaurant closes between 3-5 so don’t order food - you won’t get it, even by 530…..
Took my husband here for Father's Day and it was the worst experience we've ever had in a restaurant. We waited a total 50 minutes for our food which NEVER CAME!! Our waiter couldn't care less, he took our order, brought me coffee, then we didn't see him anymore. My husband got fed up when he saw our waiter standing around goofing off with other wait staff. He asked him about our food and the waiter said "oh let me go check." 5 more minutes went by then we left. Zero professional behavior here.
So I came here for the ambiance having little expectations of food. The food was pretty awful and not cheap. I got shrimp tacos on their lunch menu , cabbage three shrimp a piece of avocado and three slivers of pickled onion. No salsa, no pico? No nothing it was so sad. My husband ended up with a pizza because the lobster roll was sold out. He said it tasted like dough. And the kids pasta was hard and watery. So overall pretty awful food for a hundred buck bill. Next time I’m going to eat at a truck on the boardwalk if I want the oceanfront vibes.
You must try the chocolate bundt dessert. The hamburgers are good, so is the pizza. They should have decalf avail after 8pm.
Very good food at reasonable prices BUT the tables and floors were not cleaned properly.

For the prices being charged, the service and quality is terrible. The waters were never refilled and even when we asked, they would only refill the water of the person who asked and not the whole table despite their empty glasses. We asked for bread for a diabetic person dining which they denied. Appetizers and entrees came out at different times, then we would have to wait for a very long time only part of orders to arrive without the other half. The server completely ignored us at times, the drinks were terrible and very pricey. If I had been at a dive bar, the quality of drink would have been expected, but not when spending $14+/drink. The beautiful decor of the space doesn't mask the poor service. We were just handed a check, not even asked if we would like dessert. When we tried to speak up about our experience afterward, the front host said "Yeah, it's not good" and left it at that. For a $500 dinner, we were embarrassed to have chosen the Atlantic to have dined in with a guest. I hope there are some big changes coming to a space that has such potential, but can't even do basic service.

We went for breakfast on our anniversary. The staff and view was amazing. The breakfast was over priced and was the quality level of a busy deli in NY city. Very disappointing.

This restaurant used to be one of my favorites! It definitely hasn’t been maintained. Everything looks old and worn. My server was friendly. Food was mediocre. But this restaurant is where we would go for ambience. They need to do a thorough cleaning & revamp!
Horrible service, we were seated an hour before we got our food. The bar did not have any of the drinks we asked for. Food is over priced for what they serve.
The food at this place is vastly improved from prior years. However, the service continues to be abysmal.
I keep coming back to this place because it is such a beautiful spot and convenient for me. I hope with each change of management they will finally get their act together. I have come here at least a couple times a year since they opened over 10 years ago and at first they had a real Chef and real trained waiters and it was wonderful but thru each bankruptcy, chapter 11, reorganization it has gotten progressively worse. We were seated at a table with a fraying place mat that poked my arm thru out the meal. The menu was limited and unimaginative and over-priced for the quality of the food and the presentation. The staff was pleasant and helpful but clearly just not trained well. What can I say, I will probably try again but it is just a shame!!!

Convenient location. Nice view especially tables by the window. Food was good. From the time we sat down until ourappetizers were served was over an hour. Requested bread basket three times. Appetizers arrived and we were missing one soup and instead of mushroom pizza we got a side of mushrooms even though we specifically requested pizza not be brought out with appetizers. Took another 15 minutes to bring second bowl of soup. Waiter never asked if we cared for more drinks. In fact after dinner order we never saw him again until we spotted him by register and we chased him down for check. Food was good - nothing great. Luckily, we were not in a hurry. There’s really no other restaurant right on the boardwalk so if you are looking fir the view this is it.

Totally enjoyed an afternoon get together. View and people watching were great. Our food was very good but we thought the menu was limited. Prices were not over the top.
My wife specifically told talita no onions. He repeated it. Her order came with onions. She ended up only having a shrimp cocktail. They were overcooked. I had the burger and fries. It tasted fair
We made a reservation for Outdoor seating. When we arrived at the restaurant, the host said that they weren't offering outdoor seating for several more weeks. We were disappointed to say the least. They did offer us an indoor table, but we had no interest in sitting indoors, especially since it was fairly crowded and it appeared that the seating was too close together.
Awful experience. Service was incredibly slow. Think the staff was overwhelmed but unacceptable service. Management do better. Food was questionable and overpriced. Small portions. Menu was pathetic. Recommend eating anywhere else nearby. Do not give this place your money. It will be wasted. It’s not a place worth eating. At best grab a beer and run.
Ambiance is great for a date night or to hang out with friends. Cesar salad and ribeye were good. Mussels tasted fishy . Service was slow to start. Waiter was not attentive. He kept refilling our water but did not ask if we wanted more drinks when glasses were empty.

Went on a Sunday afternoon. The service was incredibly slow. The menu doesn't offer a lot of variety and the food was just ok. It's hard to beat the view, but overall I was disappointed. For the price, you can do much better at other places in Long Beach.

Brunch here, unfortunately, was terrible. It's apron $40 per person for your choice of a half cup of cottage cheese or a very bad shrimp cocktail and then a couple of eggs with either waffles, "steak" (was actually a 3 oz short rib), or some other small items. You also get coffee and a drink thrown in. All in all, the the deal is bad, but what's even worse is that the food isn't good at all and this isn't "brunch". This is waaaaaaay overpriced breakfast that you will regret except for the pretty view of the board walk. Just go for coffee, see the boardwalk and get some normal food somewhere else. Brixx & Barley brunch is 20 times better and cheaper.
