Atlantic Seafood Company Ratings and Reviews
I had the fish and chips which also included cole slaw. The fish was COD which is the authentic British style fish. It tasted fresh and was moist with perfect amount of breading. We have been here many times, but this is the first time I had this dish. The cole slaw was perfect in my opinion. It wasn’t too sweet which is usually the case with some places. The portion was huge! The service was excellent.
I placed an appetizer order and the waiter forget to put it in and when it arrived to the table it was cold so I sent it back. For my entree I ordered the twin lobster tails which was cold as well. I didn't bother to say anything because it was becoming frustrating. The menu is a little pricey but I would give the smother opportunity considering it was extremely busy that night.
I have been to Atlantic Seafood Company numerous times and have typically been very pleased with the food, ambiance, service, etc. It used to be my favorite restaurant and all of my family and friends knew that. Unfortunately, it missed the mark for me this time. Despite having made a reservation, there was a long wait for our table and there was no explanation. It took quite a while to get our appetizer and meal. Our server was very good, but other than that, we were not very pleased. The food was overpriced. To say the least, I was very disappointed.
Excellent food. Huge shrimp. The seafood tower was superior. But my server left it on the table too long and the ice leaked out, ran down the table, and made a puddle in a most inopportune spot on my pants. Had to carry my wife’s jacket and purse to cover up on the way out. You can’t make this stuff up.
Our server, Zac , was awesome. Friendly, timely but not obtrusive, cheerful and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food. The chicken rolls appetizer were wonderful. My scallops (the mixed broil) were way too salty and I could not eat them all. The sides were good. We got several desserts becasue we were celebrating a birthday. The creme brule and key lime pie were delicious. The brownie was overheated and mushy.
4 of us had lunch there and it was awesome. We all had something different and were greatly satisfied. The plates were just the right size and the flavors blended well. The waitress was very good. I will definitely eat there again and next time I will save room for dessert.
We had not been to Atlantic Seafood Company in awhile for a date night. We enjoyed our grouper dish but the crabmeat appetizer was not good...tasted like it had been in the frig for a long time. We ordered oysters and they forgot to bring them to the table. I would not go back.
We have been to Atlantic Seafood on many occasions and have always enjoyed the food and service. Its has been about 6 months since our last visit to the restaurant, and while the food is basically very good, the portions have been drastically reduced and the prices have gone up somewhat.
Last night ( 1/13/18) we sat down and we waited about 10 minutes before anyone showed up to wait on us. We ordered our drinks and a few minutes thereafter, we ordered our meals. 45 - 50 minutes went by and no food. I flagged down the manager and explained the situation to him and received no apology from him other than "he will check on our meal". About 10 minutes after that, our meal showed up. I had grilled tuna which I like it to be semi well done . My wife ordered Grouper which when it came, looked like something that was hand made and compressed into an unusual shape. Our meals were not up to par. Something was different. We had desert (the standard Crème brulle) , got our check, notice that a cup of chowder and the desert were taken off.
Personally speaking, I think because of the lousy service with no excuses, I think at the very least, one of the meals should have been taken off instead of nickel & diming the other two items.
If this is the new version of Atlantic Seafood's service and menu, then the chances of returning are going to be stretched out further. We just didn't feel like we received the very good service that we were used to receiving on past visits.
Most of our experiences at Atlantic Seafood are really good, but this last one was not. We had a 6:30 reservation. We ordered a few drinks, two appetizers and entrees. The drink menu seems to have changed and they weren't so good. I miss the old menu the one that included a blackberry margarita. One of the appetizers (oysters) were to be cooked in a seasoned butter instead of the cajun one so it wouldn't be too spicy. What we got was extra spicy, but the waitress corrected it by getting the correct order sent out. At 8:10 we called it and had our entrees boxed to go. We had been there 1 hour and 40 minutes - way too long to not have received out entrees yet. The waitress made an excuse about not wanting to rush us... really -
1 hr and 40 minutes and no entree and is afraid she's rushing us?? Not buying it. At that point we just wanted to go home.
Always a good choice. Very fresh seafood. Sides and appetizers are very good, too. Have been going regularly for over 10 years, and the service has gotten better and better. Management listens to customers requests and updates the menu accordingly. The restaurant is large, but I've never seen service suffer, even when very busy.
Went New Year’s Eve and many items on their online menu were not available. Also, all the prices were increased from their posted menu. Have been coming here for 6 years and found this to be a bit disappointing. We advised our server, Sade (who was absolutely amazing, btw), and she spoke to the manager standing a few steps away from our table. In my opinion, the manager should have walked over and apologized personally instead of walking away. Also disappointing.
