Atlantic Seafood Company
Food, service, bar was great. Looks like they've got a new bar team and are really stepping up their game.
Great food & service
It had been a while since I visited this restaurant. The service was excellent, the food was very good and the bar specialty items were very tasty! The snow crab legs was the best item we had on this visit.
The restaurant was very slow it was a maximum of 12 parties in the restaurant. Kitchen staff was all over the place, some walking around drinking and playing in their hair. I did not appreciate how the food was handled in the kitchen. I’m not sure what happened to this place but the quality of service and food has changed drastically.
The service was very slooow, despite that we were alone in the whole restaurant.
Attentive service, excellent food, and great ambiancr
Very fresh and well prepared entrees and sushi. Sides were really good and the smoked old fashioned cocktail was nice.
Excellent seafood. Nice ambience. A little dark. Didn’t try the sushi.
We always love dining at Atlantic Seafood. Food and service are consistently top notch!
Great experience, Fantastic customer service. The food was Awesome.
The food was good. The service was fair. We had to wait to long for our food and deserts.
The service was excellent. The food for the money, amazing. Food Network did a piece on their Passion Fruit Trifle on the Best Thing I ever Ate Atlanta and they nailed it! The Manager made it special for us this evening and WOW! Thank you to the staff! We will be back.
I never write reviews. My reservations were for mother's day which also happened to be my father's birthday. When this place opened it had a good reputation. Upon entering, the fixtures and furniture are starting to feel dated and the restaurant was unkempt. While being taken to our table there was visible trash and food on the floor. The first issue arose when my father's wine was served in an incredibly dirty AND sticky glass. The server who did as well as she could have except here responded that she felt the glass and knew it was sticky, but thought it was residual wine/water and still served it? The next issue came with the Oyster appetizer, they were poorly prepared, shell pieces were left in the oyster, three of the twelve were mangled and only had approx 1/3 of the Oyster left and they were served vertically allowing all of the juice to run into the ice and begin drying out before they were served. My father said his miso soup tasted sour. For the main meals my nieces chicken tenders were raw. My mother's sushi roll (yummy yummy roll which turned out to be the best tasting meal we received) was lost between the kitchen and sushi bar and was delivered 20 minutes late because they had to remake it. The french fries were soggy and loaded with oil. When we asked to speak to the manager it took about 10 minutes for her to arrive. She delivered a whole new order of chicken tinders which were noticibly burnt (though we didn't point it out). My mother provided feedback and I advised I didn't want a discount, but rather to provide constructive criticism to improve service. We had to wait 20 minutes for my fathers desert to come. They discounted the meal anyway and it still was not worth it. Poor experience, poor food, server said it was her last day due to excessive turnover and bad management. Only one valet, so just self park. On a different not my mothers vehicle was broken into her last. This place has gone downhill, I hope they get it fixed, I will not return.
The food was decent, not great. About on par with a decent chain restaurant. The service was ridiculously slow especially when the restaurant was not that busy. The portions are small for the price you pay. This was a great disappointment and it is unlikely we will go there again. Slow and mediocre service coupled with average quality food and high prices is not a combination that will get my business again
The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. Everything was fresh. My wife and I can't wait to return.
Sushi seemed fresh and cooked entree was good- when it Finally arrived! Service was quite slow and inconsistent. Dining on the night before Mothers Day , we expected it to be busy, and, we were more than patient. However, we felt like the wait staff was disinterested and untrained. We were very disappointed with the service level, especially in light of the cost of the meal!
They brought my friend’s main course as a firsth. Then I got the starter for both of us with mine hot dish at the same time. Had to send my swordfish back to the kitchen, cause I didnt want to eat that cold. When I got my fish back it was dry and too salty. Something went wrong this time.
I had a less than stellar dinner at Atlantic Seafood on Wednesday 5/8/19. We were offered the only table they wanted to give us, next to the bus station. After sitting down and initially greeting the server, there was a 30 minute gap where he did not check on the table. The swordfish was terribly overcooked and smothered in a lemon beur blanc sauce (sp) and served over cold mashed potatoes. Had to send it back for a try again, and they either rinsed the sauce off the first piece and reserved it, or the recooked a second entree just slightly more well done that the first one. And the beur blanc sauce (sp) was the weirdest color I had ever seen; it was not light yellow, it was the color of hollandaise (sp) sauce and very thick. I used to love eating at this restaurant, but the kitchen staff did not perform well. If you are thinking of coming to Atlantic Seafood, I would recommend you re-think your plans.
Our meal was perfect! The service was fast & courteous. I had an amazing blacked grouper & the Brussel Sprouts were to die for. We’ll definitely be back!
I didn’t mind the noise I understand it’s a restaurant I like the lively vibe. There was a waitress who kept coughing and not covering her mouth that I found nasty. We all have food on the table. Other than her it was a pretty cool experience.
When I am in the mood for fresh fish this is the first place that I think of. I love the meuniere sauce on all fish.
The food here is consistently very good to excellent. All 6 of us said our food was wonderful.
A local favorite with great seafood (especially sushi), drinks, and great service. We visit here at least twice a month and the servers recognize us by name making the experience top notch.
Food since last visit has declined significantly. Very overpriced for the quality.
My wife and I love going here! The food & drinks are always great and so is the service. If we lived closer we'd probably go a couple times a month. We are already looking forward to our next visit
First I have only eaten here once. The night I was there, there was a large party of 12-14 people. They were VERY loud. When they did quite down, the restaurant noise level was tolerable. Because of this large party the kitchen was having a hard time getting food out in a timely manner. They were making mistakes. The manager was very nice and comped some of our meal. The service was great. I do having hearing problems and for that reason I would not be back. I also thought the prices were sort of high.
The host was beyond rude to us as soon as we came in. Slammed down his fist and mumbled “god!” When we told our last name and reservation time. He asked what kind of table we wanted and we replied “a booth” and he laughed and said “ well you are not going to get one of those!” BTW~ the restaurant was almost empty with many open tables. My husband at that point steps in and asks for a managers assistance. We had to request a manager to seat us so that we would not continue to be verbally threatened/disrespected by the host. He offered no apology at anytime.
The online menu is completely different than the food that is offered at the restaurant. The prices are extremely high for what they offer. There was no seafood in the seafood glass cases. It was like the restaurant is about to go out of business or something to that effect. Many servers all standing around talking on a Friday night before 8 pm. We left after one drink and went elsewhere to eat dinner.
We will never return to this establishment. We will also recommend to anyone reading this review to not waste your time + money at this place. Huge disappointment.
Many choices, the fish was excellent. I had the scallops, perfectly cooked except the blackened was too salty. My partner had the seafood medley and all of it was perfect.
I'd love a little more variety in appetizers, but the choices in entrees waa great. It was my birthday & I got the creme brule and it was perfect
Superb food, as usual. Love the smooth jazz playing in the background. Lots of empty tables when we were there.
Thanks so much for taking our large party at the last minute! The service was excellent!
Very nice experience overall.
Service was great, food great as well.
We will definitely come back.
Nice evening, we used the front sitting area as we wanted Sushi as our main food.
Our service person was excellent and the food rated "A".
We will do this again
Spinach was cold. We left at 1:00 and place almost deserted. Had been 2 years since last visit and place has gone down
Appetizers were stellar. The Crab Fingers are a must try. The sauce they come in is exquisite with the bread provided. Nigri and Rolls were fresh and plentiful. The entree's and cocktails were cooked and made to perfection. I never get tired of the Blackened Grouper paired with Spinach.
We have been to Atlantic Seafood company many times and always order the same items. We have always considered them a good value because the portions are always so generous. However this particular night that we went they must have had a change in management or chefs. Not only did it take quite awhile to receive our sushi but the portions were off. We ordered an edamame appetizer that is served in a bowl and usually overflowing . This time the bowl was literally half full or less. It looked like it had already been eaten to be honest. We aren’t the type to complain but it was kind of ridiculous. We did ask the server about it who graciously brought out a 2nd bowl (filled halfway as well) which we appreciated. We ordered the sashimi dinner which is 15 pieces total. We always customize the fish and ask for 3 types of fish in particular which would mean 5 pieces each. When our food arrived we started eating and quickly realized that they had only given us 12 pieces total. Once again we are not the type to complain but for a dish that is around $33 or so you should receive what you pay for. So once again we had to tell the server who graciously took care of it and retrieved the missing pieces . We were celebrating our 15 year anniversary and ordered my favorite dessert. I didn’t expect anything free or complimentary but I will say that we we have gone before to Atlantic Seafood to celebrate many special occasions and they have always provided a special desert with a nice note written on it. I had specified on our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary and the manager did acknowledge that when we arrived . Anyhow I will say that they comped the desert that we ordered so that is nice. I was just disappointed in the portion size of our meal and the fact that we had mention missing pieces in our entree. I hope that this does not happen on our next visit there or that will be it for us which is unfortunate since their sushi is good.
Went to Atlantic for a business lunch, and was pleasantly surprised by the reasonably priced lunch options... I really enjoyed the sushi/sashimi combo. Service was also top notch.
We waited 15-20 minutes for desert.....way too long. We lost interest. They kept coming back to say it would be right out. Not okay.
The rest of the meal was great.
Food was overrated . My shrimp was over cooked.
The grouper on the broiled plate was about two oz. or less . Bad experience . Will not go back.
KRISTIN WAS GREAT AS OUR WAITPERSON.
A LITTLE NOISEY BUT FOOD IS GOOD. IT IS GREAT THAT THOSE WHO LIKE SUSHE ARE SATISFIED AND THOSE WHO DON'T LIKE IT HAVE A GREAT VARIETY OF SEAFOOD TO CHOOSE FROM.
