Atlantic Grill Near Lincoln Center Ratings and Reviews
The food was fantastic. As we walked to our table we saw plate after plate of delicious food. Our server was fabulous. She knew we had tickets for the opera and was quick to take our order and was very attentive with our wine service.
We will definitely return.
Five years ago, when a friend introduced me to Atlantic Grill, I loved it immediately. It's a place I often recommended, especially to friends who I know enjoy healthy eating. Their branzino used to be excellent. But the past year or so, it's been very disappointing. The staff is still nice, and the atmosphere is good, but the food leaves a lot be be desired. First, the edamame now comes out freezing cold instead of warm and if you order it with the salt, it's barely salted. The branzino has been flavorless the last three times I've had it and the other night, my salmon tasted fishy. That should not be the case for a pricey seafood dinner. My three friends were equally unimpressed. I kept coming back hoping it would improve, but sadly I won't be going back anytime soon. It's too bad, considering it's so close to Lincoln Center.
My friend and I had a lovely dinner of grilled Branzino and sautéed spinach with roasted garlic. The service was attentive without being obvious, the setting was lovely, and the perfectly grilled fish was delicious. But the real highlight was our young waiter who recited the specials flawlessly and answered our questions about wine selections with an informed review and an a taste of both choices. His performance was elegant in every way!
The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the first table we were given. It was in the back room, which appeared to be filled with all women diners and was next to a very loud cashier.
However they gladly moved us to quieter table...in the same room.
This was a night out for a show at Lincoln Center... It was early (5pm) so the restaurant was still relatively empty which was fine. We had a drink at the bar and had some conversations with others at the bar, so very comfortable.
Overall, the meal and service were very good and we enjoyed ourselves. As time went on, the restaurant started to fill up, so I guess it's a favorite for others as well. It was a good night out.
This place is really a find. It's right across the street from Lincoln Center and perfect for a meal just before a show. The tuna tostada appetizers were phenomenal, as was the beet and Burrata salad, and the chocolate molten cake was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive and very professional; a warm and cozy place on a cold, winter night. We'll be back.
Atmosphere was perfect, first visit for my sister and she loved the food and our waiter was excellent. so, sorry I can not remember his name. We were there on the 11th, 5:15, sat across from Sushi bar, against bar wall - please check to see our waiters name, if possible. We would ask for him next visit to NYC and Atlantic Grill. *
A nice restaurant with a good athmosphere. The service was very good, as was the first dish, but the second dish - breast of duck - was overcooked. The wine list is good, but could provide a bit more information of the different wines. If you are at the opera, this restaurant is conveniently locaetd for a pre- or after curtain dinner.
We dined here on New Year's Eve - there was an outrageously expensive New Years eve menu that was not advertised on the opentable website or on the restaurant's website and did not even include s class of wine or champagne which cost extra. The food was uninspired and the desserts were really bad. The service was meh.
For the price they charged, we could have had a much better meal elsewhere.
Had squash soup for price fixed New Years dinner was very good
Bread was ok. Pinot Noir wine tasted line a cheap version of Pinot Noir Had lobster roll appetizer which was not that good. Couldn't find lobster. Dinner was Artic char which was under cooked and I was very underwhelmed for a fish restaurant. My wife had the scallops and lobster in a coconut soup type dish and it came with the
Lobster in the shell not cracked open so it was a mess trying to to get at the lobster meat which was soaking wet with coconut sauce. You can well imagine. And no one came with hand wipe after the meal which would be a professional touch. Chochalate cake Desert was ok but coffee with liquor tasted like mud.
Doubt I will be back.
Good food, decent service after we cleared up confusion about service. Made reservation to have dinner before opera, and it worked out after initial miscommunication. Dinner was prix fixe, something not communicated or clear on Open Table site. Restaurant could have conveyed that before we got there. Probably would have eaten there anyway for comvenience’s sake, but think $100 a head, not counting drinks, was steep for what we got.
Disappointing. Have been dining here since it opened and had many great meals but not this time. The servings are smaller and the quality is lacking. It could have been just an off night but consistency is the most important thing about a restaurant. I will take a break and eat elsewhere.
First time at Atlantic Grill. Took my girl friend there for her birthday since it was in Lincoln Center and we had a show later that evening. I wasn’t impressed by the waiter (Anthony) at all, he seemed to be rushing us to order and wasn’t pleasant. We noted it but brushed it off, wasn’t until we over heard him dealing with other tables he was a bit more friendly. The food and drinks was the best part of the evening... waiter staff should remember they can make or ruin someone’s night out. Be pleasant.
