Atlantic Grill Near Lincoln Center Ratings and Reviews
First time customer. The weak link in the chain was the service. While our server did an adequate job, the servers at other tables spent time explaining the contents of each dish. For example: There is a difference between " We have a shrimp cocktail" and "We have a shrimp cocktail containing six succulent shrimp, served chilled, accompanied with a spicy cocktail sauce. The food was delicious and the ambiance attractive. We would definitely dine there again.
We went prior to an event at Lincoln center with a seating at 5:30am. They did get us out on time but the service was poor. Water order slow to be delivered. No followup. Order taking errors. Request for bread did not get honored. The fish was overcooked. The presentation was ok but the execution seemed off. Consider elsewhere
My niece and I dined at the Atlantic Grill on Wednesday 12/13. I had a rainbow trout menu addition and my niece had the pre theatre menu. Everything was delicious. We were seated promptly and had adequate time to dine and enjoy our meal before leaving for our show. I have auditory issues and Curtis, the maitre d' was helpful in selecting a table that would be quiet without background distraction. We would dine there again!
NO LOBSTER IN THE LOBSTER BISQUE, STALE BREAD INSTEAD AND STALE BREAD ON THE TABLE, LIPTON ICED TEA, COSMO TOO DRY, DIDN'T TAKE IT BACK BUT RATHER BROUGHT CRANBERRY AND TRIPLE-SEC TO THE TABLE...PLEASE. OILY OILY OILY PASTA. MY WIFE SAID THAT THE rED SNAPPER WAS GOOD.
Great birthday dinner for my Mom. Back dining room is cozy and quiet with huge windows and high ceiling. Wait staff attentive and helpful. Raw bar tower was excellent. Shellfish fresh and well prepared. Reserve wine by glass delicious. Prepared Birthday dish for my Mom when I asked for a candle.
The seafood is always excellent (we had oysters, the sea bass special, and salmon crudo) but this time the gnocchi served with the roast chicken was so salty it was inedible. The peach pie with sour cream ice cream was amazing, and service is attentive, helpful and excellent.
This is my neighborhood and I've going here for years. I chose this restaurant because of a reunion with a family member after 35 years~ It was the perfect place. The staff didn't bother us except to ask us if there was anything we needed. We stayed for hours in a booth which provided us the privacy and acoustics that we needed to catch up after all these years.
Excellent service! Thank you to the waiting staff.! The recommendations regarding both food and wine were spot on.
The only thing I would criticize is that I didn't get the bread basket until I asked for it during the entrée. But the staff did apologize for it and it's not really that big of a deal. With a minor thing like that it just goes to show how great a place this was.
I will definitely be coming here again!
With mixed reviews, some not so complimentary, we did not quite know whether this restaurant would meet our expectations, as it was our first visit. The food was not exceptional or great value for money, but the main attraction for us was the proximity to Lincoln Center and the Met. The best thing we had was the Lemon and Blueberry Pie, with Blueberry Ice Cream, which worked very well and had an intense lemony flavour, good texture and nice thin, crisp pastry. The Branzino a la Plancha was also good. Service was not the best, getting one order wrong. Mixed reviews, therefore, are understandable.
We often have dinner her before the opera or PhilhRmonic but this time took two granddaughters for brunch before the 5 pm "Nutcrackr." The 10 year old selected N omelet from the adult menu, and the 7 year old loved her chicken fingers from the large kids' menu. They had crayons and Shirley Temples. We had a lobster/shrimp frittata and a crab cake BLT, all great. Only disappointment was the Bloody Mary's: too much coarsely ground pepper, and otherwise watered down. Overall, great service, lively cord, and a pretty place for the four of us.
Service not good, apologies offered for late delivery of bread, main course ready before appetizers finished. When main course delivered was not hot and had to be returned to kitchen. Expectations are for outstanding service from such an expensive restaurant. Food was no better than mediocre
We were a party of 5 and seated in a large booth in the back area of this very large restaurant. It was perfect for conversation and the food was delicious. The lobster bisque should have been hotter, but otherwise everything was very good and we would go there again .
Food was not as good as usual. One of us thought the crabcake was iodiny, i.e., not fresh. Service was not good. We ordered some sushi rolls as a first course which did not come. I had to ask the server to remove the dirty plates. Our server did not seem to know the ropes. Took forever to get some coffee.
I came here for lunch before a show. Everything was really good — I got the crab cakes special, which was good but a bit small (two crab cakes each about 3 inches in diameter, with a serving of salad placed in between them). Our group also ordered the frittata and the scambled eggs popover off the brunch menu, and enjoyed everything. We got a spicy tuna roll to start things off, a side of french fries to split during our entrees, and a molten chocolate cake to finish things off, and we were very full (and very satisfied). I highly recommend this place.
The pasta dish I ordered may have been freshly made in the kitchen which is good, but it was harder than the ideal al dente. It was also more spicy hot than I expected. A choice of spiceness must be offered to customers. The octopus, aside from being too little a portion for the $18 price, was hard, slimy and chewy. There are other restaurants in the area which serves more in quantity, cheaper but are way more delicious than at this place. Otherwise, my wife enjoyed the grilled salmon.
