Atlantic Grill Near Lincoln Center Ratings and Reviews
went here for valentines day. arrived early but was still seated upon arrival. waiter and overall was very friendly and inviting. wait time for food was minimal. i ordered the red snapper. my bf ordered the salmon. food was ok. at 1st i thought i didn't like it but the 2nd and 3rd bite was ok. the drinks are VERY strong (just what i needed lol). the music was barely there. i mostly heard other ppl talking at nearby tables than i heard any music. Overall i would visit this restaurant again. Its a nice laid back, mature vibe.
One of our favorite pre-theater spots - even on Valentine's Day - outstanding service and aside from gearing up for extra patrons - (little tables added to the layout to serve more customers) - there was no attempt to fool people into expensive alternative menu choices for the holiday.
Still superb waitstaff attention and we were able to get out to the performance on time.
Food quality remains truly impressive.
When requesting a table in a quiet area during an early dinner time on a Monday evening, we were told that "nobody will be at the bar" and the table we were seated at would be quietest in the restaurant. This was the case for about 15 minutes when, of course, folks came into the bar! By this time, our food had arrived and we were well into diner. The noise directly behind us was deafening. When I complained, I was told that all I had to do was ask to be moved. This was not realistic once we were well into eating our dinner. The hostess was quite argumentative and not learning anything from her logistic error. I had previously enjoyed this restaurant but found this experience to be quite negative!
My wife and I had a great time at the Atlantic Grill for Sunday Brunch. The service was outstanding, our waiter, Erik was great. The food was amazing, my wife has several food intolerances and they were all met with no problem. The dining room and bar are beautiful and very comfortable. We left feeling like we had made the right choice for our meal. I had read the reviews and saw some negative ones and it was clear after our visit that the bad ones were totally fake, as none of the negative were true for us. I recommend the Atlantic Grill and can't wait for my next trip to New York so we can go there again.
We had wanted to visit Atlantic Grill for some time, but were able to schedule dinner only this past weekend (Feb 10) - total satisfaction. Lovely interior spaces, very prompt seating and very attentive wait staff, especially our server Anthony. Our appetizers and entrees were heavily fish-weighted and were nicely prepared and presented. A seared tuna (cooked rare) was - unlike so many others - actually seared nicely around the exterior and the interior was neither icy nor mushy-warm. Branzino was perfectly grilled and cleaned. Dessert was shared - a big bowl of coconut rice pudding with fruit. This will become a popular and regular visit for us!
Chose the restaurant week menu but it was very limited and did not have many fish dishes on it. The serving of Salmon was small and while good left me wanting more. Who wants to leave a restaurant hungry? Next time there I will skip the restaurant week menu. It seems that restaurant week menu has been downgraded a bit by all the participating restaurants. Most are now limited to lunch only and the dinner dishes are skimpy. Next season (summer) I am not bothering with Restaurant Week at all.
Haven't been to the Atlantic Grill (west side) since that locale had another name and identity, It was very good then and it is still a neighborhood pleasure. Have been back several times recently and found the service reliably friendly and efficient, the menu generous and the food well prepared, nicely presented and delicious. Was a bit disappointed in the sushi selections.
We went after a show. Service was great. Asked if we were headed to a show to see if we needed expedited service. Food was excellent. Atmosphere was perfect. Very busy but wait staff never made us wait or feel like we were unimportant. We plan on going back soon
our food was great as always; however, service was poor. our waiter was asleep at the wheel. we thought maybe she left.
fortunately, a nice young man with a beard came over and finally took our bill to pay it. we didn’t ask him. he just knew we were waiting.
she’s not up for fine dining.
My entree was inedible. It was on the menu as a shrimp dish...the
one shrimp in the dish had died of loneliness. Instead, the dish consisted of an unattractive pile of overlooked pasta with cut-up Vienna sausages referred to as lardons on the menu. MY ADVICE: STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT.
This was the third time I've dined at Atlantic Grill, the second at dinner before or after a Lincoln Center concert. I had the red snapper with Spanish rice for the main course and, while the fish was beautifully done, there was just too much of the rice. The small chunks of chorizo in it, which I thought would be interestingly hot, were not. In its favor, AG is perfectly located for anything at Lincoln Center, and the food and service are always good, and often very good.
While I have been to the recently closed Eastside location many times, this was my first time at the Lincoln Center location. I thought it was good, maybe a bit pricey, but not too bad. I feel like they have alot of regulars, and that means something. I'd go back next time I go to Lincoln Center.
