Atlantic Fish Ratings and Reviews
Let me start off by saying great service. Randy our waiter knew his ish lol. The hostess at the door very pleasant and greeted us with kindness.
Now let me go into how great this place is and how they won us over. I was surprising my girlfriend for a post valentine day date.
I searched high and low to find a nice spot and came across this restaurant. Made my reservation for 5:30pm on a Sunday evening. It was Allstar weekend so downtown was extremely busy and no parking. Called ahead to say I would be 10 minutes late. Let’s just say it was 6pm when I finally found parking.
Picture this my girlfriend in heels walking 6-8 city blocks in the cold. She wasn’t a happy camper but she looked amazing. I was just praying they didn’t give away our seats.
I was power walking so she said go ahead, I told her I would never leave her behind. I slowed down and we finally made it.
Guest after guest came in looking for a table but the house/restaurant was packed. I knew we had no hope of our table still being there. I gave my name to the hostess she said it back with the words “right over here” WOW!! 45 minutes late and still have a table we were so happy the night wasn’t spoiled.
I had a nice glass of wine, my baby had a “where’s my bulleit” I believe that’s what it was was called lol. Both were great! I recommend the calamari it was delicious. My girlfriend had the seafood fra Diablo i went for the rib eye steak. Both delicious
We enjoyed each other’s company. The restaurant and its ambiance sets the mood so gentlemen trust not much work needed lol.
I give this restaurant an A+ ask for Randy...
The server was attentive and helpful. My husband ordered the halibut cheeks which was the special that day and it was delicious. We all enjoyed our meals. My cocktail was amazing and everything was perfect. The appetizer was a crab and artichoke dish that was amazing.
The food was great and the waiter was very good. Unfortunately, the table was not so great. My colleague and I were jammed into this little table which would have been more appropriate for a couple on a date. The bad table was on top of waiting for 20 minutes with a reservation.
I really enjoyed our Valentine’s Day here! The food was sooo delicious- the Lobster Thermidor special was absolutely divine and we ate every bite. My lemon sole was not exactly as lemony as I was hoping for but that may have been because I imagined a different dish when I read it on the menu. We were disappointed that the red velvet cake on the dessert menu was no longer available but we really enjoyed the Boston cream pie and Key Lime pie desserts we ordered. And the ambiance was perfect for romance. Atlantic Fish remains a great choice for an upscale, classy, romantic special occasion.
We reserved a month in advance for Valentines Day as we’ve been on the search for fresh fish lately. It was our first time and I’ll be sure to request a booth next time. The tables in the back were packed together like sardines. Our waiter had to talk across our table as he couldn’t squeeze between tables to reach the couple in the corner. Ridiculous! Thankfully after they moved the atmosphere improved tremendously and we enjoyed a top notch meal including their fantastic rendition of Black Forest cake.
Took my fiancée here for a pre-Valentine/anniversary dinner. Could not have had a better experience. From when we walked in and dealt with the hostess till we paid the bill and left everything was great. Our waiter was the perfect amount of attentive not there every minute and not disappearing he was that perfect balance. The food was a perfect balance from the bacon wrapped scallops to the chowder to the lobster frai diavlo for me and lobster pappadore for her to the peppermint ice cream pie. It couldn’t have been a better night and thanks to Atlantic Fish for playing a great part. Will definitely be back multiple times.
Sommelier made a show to cover up that they had a different vintage year of the wine ordered and was upset as I complained about it. Instead she should have said in the first place they did not have the year in the menu and I would have been fine about it . Moreover the waiter came to defend her and did not say he was sorry about it .
I will not go back to this place which I went 4 times in the last year .
Atlantic Fish Co. was a fantastic dining experience. Our server and the sommelier were attentive and very helpful. We ordered the Lobster bisque and New England clam chowder as apps and the Lobster Ravioli and Lobster Thermador as Entrees. Easily the best lobster I have ever had at a restaurant. Definitely plan on going back for a special occasion again!
White tablecloths, green lampshades at each booth (think banker’s lamps but circular), and jazz standards playing in the background make for excellent ambience for a business lunch. I have a feeling I didn’t order the best entree by going for the fried Ipsiwich clams (the fries were sort of middling) but the clam chowder more than made up for it. Couldn’t have been a more perfect bowl of soup.
We frequently eat at Atlantic Fish when in Boston. Nice to see some new items on the menu. However really miss the old bacon and scallops dish. Also the new lobster and fried rice dish is way to spicy to enjoy and we have tried it twice. Like spicy but no balance to the dish.
