Date had the sea bass and lobster bisque and I had the crab encrusted halibut and “award-were Neng” chowdah. Our waiter started out strong and was very amiable throughout, but I felt like an abandoned table st times, not able to get refills on drinks or the bill for unreasonable lengths of time. The food was good, but not mind-blowing, special or “award-winning.” I’ll be trying another local favorite next time I’m in town, despite rating the Atlantic a 4 overall.
Melanie was excellent
Have loved Atlantic Fish since moving to Boston in 2004. Excellent service, wonderfully prepared food, great wine. Perfect fine dining experience.
Our waiter was so kind and the food was delicious. Oysters and clam chowder was my favorite. They also gave us a creme brulee for my girl’s birthday. Will definitely come again!
Out waiter was not very amiable. And we were seated at a terrible table.
Very fresh tasting food , awesome environment. Will be a regular
The restaurant was very crowded and noisy. Our server, Carla was excellent. She was attentive and friendly.
Great oysters! Great fish! A little pricey, but worth it.
Another impressive meal. I go there every time I make it to Boston and craving fresh seafood.
Great food and service.
Second time eating there and it didn’t disappoint.
Excellent food - good service with friendly helpful staff -
Our experience was amazing! Great seafood, awesome waiter! He even offered to take a picture unprovoked! We had such a great time there, and the food was fantastic, as well as our server!!!
I had a business lunch there and we loved the food. The special lunch menu had a nice selection of fish and meat dishes. I had the tuna steak, rice and vegetables which was exceptional. My colleague had fried rice and grilled salmon with vegetables which she loved. The food was fast and the service was wonderful. We had only an hour and that was plenty of time. The price was very reasonable.
The service from the waitress was outstanding.
The food is good and the drinks were very good too
Absolutely amazing! My husband and I traveled to Boston to eat the best clam
Chowder in the city.. From waitstaff, ambience and food everything was absolutely amazing., Highly recommend this venue for any occasion..
Always excellent! The food is super delicious and service is outstanding! We are from Chicago and every time we visit this restaurant is on our top list to eat at every time!!
Awesome food!! We have been going to this restaurang for 10 years and love everything we have tried! The service is great and the seafood is even better.
I had the sesame seared tuna, and it was honestly one of the best meals I have ever had. Our server was great!
Clam chowder was best i ever had!
Service was professional, attentive and friendly. Ambience was good- but very crowded - busy saturday night. In spite of this- they kept on top of service well.
Only complaint was the seabass was a bit dry. I chose bakes with breading. I should have opted for pan seared. Girlfruend ordered stuffed lobster. Was very good. Desert was pepermint icecream cake. Decadant!!!.
I will recommend this to anyone. Great place!
Great seafood restaurant, great service, great ambiance....
Living in the neighborhood, we often choose Atlantic Fish for restaurant eating. The food and service are consistently above average.
We always come here when we are in Boston because of the great specials and wonderful service. It is nice when you are made to feel at home and not rushed. Beat seafood in town! Wait staff goes the extra steps to be sure you are satisfied and that doesn't always happen in a city. Good job everyone!
We have always considered Atlantic Fish our favorite go to when visiting Boston.
Always enjoy Dan's great service when lucky to have him as our waiter. However,
lately the food quality has not been what it used to be. The change in the menu
could have been good with the new offerings, but the lobster fried rice seasoning
was a totally off. No cod? It's a seafood restaurant! Something is amiss lately at Atlantic Fish.
We are going to look for other options.
Fun and nice place to go for a slightly upscale lunch. Good food; lobster roll was loaded with lobster but could have used some flavor. Classy place, but we were put into a small cold corner (though the lady I was with was worth being closer to)
The caesar salad with grilled shrimp was fabulous.
The restaurant was packed and we arrived early for our reservations. They managed to seat us despite our early arrival. Our waiter was excellent, we didn't feel rushed and he had wonderful suggestions. We came away from the meal completely satisfied. This is my "go to" restaurants in Boston, never had a bad meal!
This was our first time there and truly enjoyed the selection of fish and the various ways it could be prepared. Also, the selection of sides was quite extensive. Our waiter, Randy, couldn't have been more accommodating. Nothing says welcome like a smile and a willingness to help. His attentiveness says much about the restaurant in general.
Absolutely fantastic seafood and delicious sides. Always fresh.
Very good food. Can't beat fresh seafood. The raw bar was top notch. Service was excellent. Food came out the kitchen quickly and always with more to the plate than expected. I had a grilled yellow fin tuna. Though not on the menu it came out with a ramikan of wonderful teriyaki sauce that really complemented the fish.
This is the second time I've been here in 2 years. I travel to Boston sometimes and I wanted to bring my boss and coworker here for some great seafood. This restaurant did not let me down! It was quiet for a Monday, but I was happy we could eat comfortably and hear each other. The service was efficient and the food was delicious! I would recommend anyone travelling in the Boston area looking for great seafood to pay the money - it's WORTH IT!!!
Very disappointing. Inconsistent food quality and the service was mediocre. Maybe it is a good restaurant by Boston standards. I would not know, but it would not have a chance in Manhattan.
Thought the food and service were great. We had a great dinner/meeting.
Our group of five had mixed results with the food. We were happy with the bacon-wrapped scallops, clam chowder, fried calamari, lobster roll, oysters on the shell and the catch of the day - tuna in this case. However, the risotto (with shrimp and scallops) was a tad watery and flavorless; and the rice pilaf side was underdone. The Capain’s Platter was greasy - both the fries and the seafood, and the cole slaw was tasteless and dry. The service was excellent. The waiter was attentive and the sommelier picked a tasty Sauvignon Blanc. So all in all, a mixed bag.
The food was just superb. My text was juicy and tender and my date loved his seafood pasta.
I have a dietary restriction and our waitress accommodated my needs and went out of her way to help us enjoy our experience. The food was fantastic, the wine was excellent, and my husband's dessert (Boston Creme Pie) was perfect. We will definitely return next time we are in Boston!
I love this place, I normally go with my girls monthly.
One diners experience sub par. Favorite Chilean sea bass no longer available on fish menu. Ordered bass that now comes with lobster dish (he is allergic to lobster). The piece of fish he had was dry and smaller than serving he previously got. Not worth the price. Very disappointed since sea bass was a main draw. Gave rating of c. Dinner was most enjoyable at Atlantic Fish, as the food was delicious & the service was most attentive. My daughter and I enjoyed the crab & artichoke dip, Caesar salad, and salmon entree. The Boston cream pie was a tasty way to end our meal.
Atlantic Fish is a popular restaurant, and one best have reservations if he/she does not want to wait a considerable amount of time.
Another outstanding dinner. The freshest seafood. If there were any comment, the plating of the main courses had so much food, it approached overwhelming.
