Wonderful, first class service and food, yet very warm and approachable!!
Great service and ambience for this very Boston restaurant. But I was a bit disappointed in the food, especially given the price. I had a Branzino that was fine, but a little dry and not so flavorful. This was combined with some overly garlicky broccolini. The flavors really needed balancing overall.
It was Birthday celebration, we had a wonderful time. Service was excellent, we were not rushed.
Our waiter was the best. We requested a booth which was perfect. Removed from the hustle but still part of the business of the restaurant. Food was superb! We had champagne, oysters from Maine and the bay scallops which were the sweetest.
Waiter brought a couple of desserts for the end with a candle. Then we had 30 year port! Fabulous!
Full disclosure, we are regulars at Atlantic Fish.
But they never disappoints us with great food and great experience. Their ability to retain experience servers is the back bone of that restaurant.
Great as it always is
Our server was amazing
Food was absolutely delicious. For the last few days I've been telling everyone about the Crab Crusted Haddock and mentioning it as one of the best meals I've had all year.
Our waiter, Glen, was superb. He and the chef/kitchen handled a a guest with a food allergy with grace and care. Food was outstanding. The sole was cooked perfectly. We had a great experience.
No wait w reservation. No problem with one of our party being late. Food was very good and apropriately priced. Leisurly meal and quiet ambiance (especially important as conversation as or more important than meal) were a pleasure. Somewhat limited veggie options.
Great experience at Atlantic Fish Company!
We went for an early lunch - one last meal in Boston before our flight home. We arrived shortly after the restaurant opened but they were ready for us. We were seated right away and ordered drinks within minutes of arriving.
I chose AFC because they were on Boston Magazine’s list of 15 best clam chowders in Boston - and they were absolutely right. We’ve had chowder at a number of places in and around Boston and theirs was hands down the best we’ve had.
I had an oyster po’boy on an Asiago roll and it was outstanding. The oysters were the star - lightly breaded and falling out of the sandwich - and they were cooked perfectly.
My wife had fish and chips and our jaws dropped when it arrived. It was one piece of fish but it was HUGE! It was incredible - moist, flaky and also perfectly cooked.
We will definitely be back at AFC the next time we’re in Boston!
Good food but alcoholic beverages were extremely poor. We had to send our cocktails back. Fortunately they did not charge us for them. They need to hire a new bartender or stick to serving beer and wine.
Great all around from service to food.
Bread (nice & warm) butter is yummy!
Sea bass dish with ravioli is quite good. The taste and quality of the fish is top notch.
It’s a very busy place, we went on a Sunday evening. So water refill service was on the slower side, nothing to complain about.
The Boston Creme pie is good, but not a memorable dessert.
Overall, nice restaurant worth going to again.
Great fish dinner, great service just a little too crowded the tables are close together conversation is hard because it is loud the noise level
Delicious food. Best seafood in town. A little loud. Very good service.
This was absolutely the best meal I had in Boston this trip. We ordered the Lobster Roll, the clam chowder in a bread bowl and the lobster bisque. Everything was absolutely delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I will most definitely be back. But be sure to make a reservation, this place is always packed, but totally worth the wait.
Excellent food and excellent service
Great spot for an early brunch. I arrived at eleven while the rest of my party was running late; hostess was very gracious about seating me without them (no doubt it helped that the restaurant was almost empty at that hour). Waiter was extremely attentive and food was delicious and filling. It had gotten very crowded by the time we left so I would definitely advise going on the early side for Sunday brunch. I will try to go back for dinner sometime!
Met with daughter during her medical conference in town for dinner. Atlantic Fish did not disappoint. She had the sea bass and I the San Francisco style cioppino. They both were fabulous. The cioppino really hit the spot on a cold night, filled with top quality seafood including generous serving of lobster meat and the most delectable hearty broth. Could have used a piece of toasted bread but I just asked for another serving of the hearty warm loaf that accompanies every meal. Daughter said her sea bass with lobster ravioli was perfectly cooked. We also had the best key lime pie for dessert, even better than what we had when we visited Key West FL. The service was impeccable - our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to return!
Great play for seafood in Boston. Always fresh and delicious.
Tasty and filling brunch. Wasn’t able to finish my lobster and buffalo cheese omelette. The strawberry rose sangria was delish ! Food and service good enough to return.
The meal was excellent--especially the Nantucket scallop special. We had the most fantastic server--I wish I could remember his name! It was a birthday celebration and they surprised us with the best creme brulee we'd ever had with a candle in it. It is a noisy place, but we were in a booth which really helped. All in all a great experience.
The ambience and the staff were great, however, I really cannot say I was that impressed by the food given the prices they charge. It was okay and I did not hate it - just that I have had much better seafood in Boston. Glad I tried it, just not in a rush to go back.
The seafood was awesome. Very good sized portions and the taste was impeccable. Some of the best creative seafood I have had !
Dinner was great!
Seafood was super fresh and perfectly cooked to the right level of ‘doneness’. We tried scallops crab cakes and lobster.
Always cooked to perfection
The food is excellent and well prepared. Our party had all fish dishes and we were not disappointed; all the ingredients were fresh and cooked to the perfect temp. The menu is pricey and tables near the bar area are tight. I would angle for a booth the next time around. Service is also very good, not intrusive but attentive. Wine list is quite good as well. We'll be back.
Excellent lobster feast and centrally located in upscale Boston neighborhood.
I would have to say this is now my favorite fish restaurant in Boston. We took a group of 8 here to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday. The waiter was very attentive to her and let us take our time. The food was very good - I wouldn't call it gourmet dining and I wouldn't say there was anything particularly creative about the dishes - but the execution and presentation was a level above LSF and the menu was fairly extensive (although still very local - nothing from the Pacific or Gulf of Mexico here). The bar had Southern Comfort (my mother's favorite) and Grey Goose L'Orange (my aunts) though, and both can be hard to get.
Wow just wow! Was visiting from NYC and after a day of walking around and seeing all the sights of Downtown and Beacon Hill etc. we wanted a nice dinner. This place came up as a recommendation and it did not disappoint. We came on a Saturday night. Be sure to make a reservation or you will likely have to wait until 10PM to get a table.
The food is amazing. We were started off with some bread (best bread ever?!). Then we had the clam chowder it really was some of the best I've ever had. For our main entrees I had the lobster ravioli (delicious), she had the branzino (it was roasted and deboned).
Our meal was so good, she said she just wanted to go back to the hotel and watch a movie. I agreed. I didn't want to ruin a perfect meal/eveningby trying to go anywhere else.
Service was great our server was attentive and professional despite having a quite a few bigger groups. We left stuffed and happy. Will def come back.
All seafood are really fresh and cook to perfection.
Everything was excellent from start to finish
This is probably the best eating experience we had during our week in Boston. The food is delicious, the service impeccable, the ambiance very nice. We had a variety of oysters for starters and they were fantastic (and very different from the European oysters we are used to, especially the ones from my home province Zeeland in the Netherlands). My wife had a Maine Lobster afterwards and was totally happy. I had the San Francisco fish soup which was loaded with wonderful fish and seafood and so very tasty. We had a Greco di Tufo to accompany the food and, as expected, it did so very well. Next time we will visit again!
In town on business. Birthday dinner surprise.
Very good variety. Food and severvice we're very good. No complaints.p
First time. Very nice setting.
Food was good and portion sizes adequate.
Service was efficient but a little quick.
Overall good experience.
Would definitely return.
King crab feast was great. Seems it could have fed 4
Amazing food and great service. They are always packed, so definitely make a reservation in advance. The Chilean sea bass and peppermint ice cream pie are my favorites!
Enjoyable experience- great food and wine. Oysters were fabulous. Reception team need to smile more and explain delays. Waiters great.
