Didn't get seated until almost 20 minutes after my reservation, but it was a pleasant experience otherwise.
Had lunch and ordered lobster roll and daughter had fried seafood platter. Very fresh. Lobster roll was very juicy. The platter had a little too much French fries versus actual fish.
Good seafood, but a vast, noisy arena full of people dressed like they were at Disney World. Like dining in a mess hall. Like dining in a gymnasium. Sign at door says proper attire required, but , apparently proper attire here allows for flip-flops, tee shirts and baseball caps. Not what I would expect from a Buckhead Life Group restaurant. But maybe just a sad commentary on what society has become.
I've lived in Atlanta for over 30 years and Atlanta Fish Market was always one of the best restaurants to go to but I have to say the quality and service has been going down for a few years now. The food is average but not what it use to be. I recommend trying other Seafood restaurants in town.
I was disappointed with the fried fish it was mushy, cooked too fast and had to be returned. I settled for more fried shrimp instead. The hush puppies taste old and need a New receipt. I am a big fan of hush puppies & always look forward to getting them at every fresh seafood restaurant I go to. Our server was good but we felt like we were being rushed out of the door, out of his section so he could get on to the next customer's tip. Overall, Not a great Date Night due to mushy food & rush job! The restaurant could use an interior makeover (ie updated light fixtures, etc.) at this point with all of the newer restaurants going up in Buckhead. I am a native Peach so I know how long the Atlanta Fish Market has been here. Valet parking was awesome!
The hostess was hell bent on giving us horrible seating in spite of my request made during the reservation, after three tries we gave up in spite of seeing better seating in our view. Two couples that were seated well after us were served before us in the better seating area we weren’t allowed to sit in. We waited for our food for 45 mins after being seated. Wine bottle and Glasses empty and appetizers long gone!i Our food was was not done on the inside and over cooked on the outside. Our waitress notice my date not eating and offered to remove her meal from the bill. After all the horrible service I still tipped the waitress . This was by far our worst experience at Atlanta Fish Market the last 25yrs!! I have to chalk it up to the current climate in the United States! I bet you can’t guess what race and nationality I am ?
I had the special stuffed lobster. It was excellent
We hadn't been to restaurant in a few years. Food was still excellent, but our table for two was size of a nightstand. Our entrees arrived halfway through the appetizer. Our plates hung out over the table. The honey mustard cup had spilled onto my lobster. I don't like honey mustard. We will go back, but not anytime soon.
Atlanta Fish Market has been a special occasions restaurant for us and we decided to treat ourselves after a long work week. The service was decent but the quality of the food does not measure up to what we were used to. I ordered a cocktail and the drink was room temperature and tasted predominately fruit juice. My husband ordered a gumbo and the temperature was lukewarm. I ordered the shrimp and scallop pasta alfredo. The pasta was a little overcooked and some of the shrimp didn't taste fresh to me. I'm sad to say that may be the last time we dine here. For the price we pay, we expected a lot more.
As always, great food and service. You can always count on AFM to be professional and consistent.
Great Food Great Service!
Nice menu selection, but place is old and musty inside. Service and food just average, but we found better seafood preparations and presentations at local steakhouses. Not much to eat if you do not eat seafood.
It is always a treat to eat this delicious and creative restaurant. It’s always on my list when I return to Atlanta.
It was Father’s Day so it was very crowded. The floor was very dirty. We asked our waiter to clean up the floor and he did it. The shrimp/lump crabmeat appetizer was $18 and very small. Our waiter was amazing.
service was uneven and chaotic. the booth are very tired looking, cushions has lost their firmness with table top at our shoulder level. We changed tables to with chairs
We celebrated Father’s Day tonight and it was sooo delicious!
Never made it to eat. Had a reservation for 6:15 PM. Waited until 7 PM and then left. Overcrowded and overbooked their reservations for Father’s Day. Disappointing.
It was father’s day so I expected the restaurant to be busy but it was hectic and without any real elegance or sophistication. Felt like a step up from red lobster or something of the like. Had to ask them to clean food off the floor beneath our table and chairs and had to wait 25 minutes to be seated with a reservation. The room we were in must have been the area for large parties and the room was extremely loud with screaming children. Not a very relaxing dinner. Probably won’t be back...
Great seafood spot. Had the Mahi Mahi, Hong Kong style. It was exceptional. Finished off with their toffee, chocolate dessert. great meal.
This restaurant was amazing. Out waiter Kristie was great! The food was fresh and the service was fast considering the restaurant was very busy.
I had an 3:45 reservation I was seated on time but when time to order they were out of what I wanted (the lobster roll). Disappointed to say the least
My family. And I really enjoyed our visit to the Fish Market. Service was goo. The waiter was on point and the food was great.
It was very warm in the restaurant on the day that we decided to visit and it was 90 degrees outside. It was Father's Day. I did not enjoy my meal at all. I had the shrimp and scallop Alfredo and it was very salty. My 2 year old son had the chicken fingers and fries and the chicken fingers had no flavor at all. My husband's food was decent but for the price of almost $50 for his food alone it was certainly not worth it. I will not be visiting Atlanta Fish Market anytime in the near future.
We were disappointed, as they were advertising lobster dishes. They were out of the lobster roll, yet they had several other lobster entrees available. I suppose the lobster they use for the roll is an inferior type? I think, in light of the advertising and that we came for just that dish, they should use the lobster they had available for the roll. If nothing else, I think they should have offered a discount since they did not have the advertised special.
Our meal was good. The server did not bring my water with no ice, as requested, but another server corrected it for us. The bread was warm, but the butter did not arrive for 5 more minutes. For the price and the fact that this is a "nice" restaurant, I expected better service. The booths are comfortable, but I feel like I am reaching up to eat, as the booth drops you down to an uncomfortable level. Hate to be negative. We like this restaurant, but honestly, it was sub standard this time.
We took my husband here for Father's Day. I made reservations, therefore there was no wait when we arrived. The service overall was good, but the food was not worth the price. I've gone to plenty of really nice (seafood)restaurants that were more affordable with much better food. Most things felt a little under seasoned and bland and extremely pricy. I wouldn't say it was the worst but definitely nowhere I would go back to.
Service provide and food was exceptional. We really enjoyed our sinner and this was a great choice for my husband to celebrate Father’s Day. Well done Atlanta Fish Matket
Been many times. First time I’ve had terrible service.
The food was very good. The service was average. Our waiter was very nice but failed to notice that our table was missing the salt and pepper shakers and one setting of silverware. At this price point we should not have to ask for those items. Appreciate the fact that our table was ready at 7:00 for our 7:00 reservation. My wife had the broiled seafood platter. While it was very good, it was overpriced by $10-$12. The mashed potatoes are to kill for.
Food was good, not great but good. Need more choices for sides. Way to expensive. 12.50$ for a gin and tonic(not top shelf gin). King crab was $52.00. I live in Florida and get same amount of crab for half the price.
Ordered the surf and turf. Steak way overdone even though ordered medium rare. Lobster tasted fresh out of the microwave. Service was great. Food quality was about half a step better than a country buffet
Excellent food and service as always! Seafood arrived to table fresh, hot, and delicious
We did not order an appetizer. I missed having the side order of grits. I missed having the side order of baby lima / butter beans. Anyway, Hubby and I had the bass, grilled. The fish was good, but I do wish it had more seasoning since it tasted like it was not seasoned at all. Mashed potatoes were good. My niece had the fried grouper. She loved it. My other niece had sushi, and she loved that, as well. Hubby and I had the Oreo cheesecake which was good. Bread was good.
Food and alcohol service was extremely slow. When we got the food it was all delicious, but just seemed super slow for everything including kids meal that we ordered first and the complimentary bread basket.
I have never had a bad meal at the Atlanta Fish Market. It is a requirement when our Son visits as he loves the supercrunch sushi roll. I always enjoy the delicious Savannah Sweet Pepper Crab Bisque. Terrific food at an Atlanta favorite.
Had a great time with the wife and family on our anniversary!
As usual, the restaurant did not disappoint. The gumbo was terrific and my husband had his favorite jumbo fried shrimp. I had the blacken mahi and it was just outstanding. Our server was Lilly and she was fantastic and made our Father's Day celebration very special.
Food was excellent. A few problems with the wait staff but over a good experience.
It was good - overrated I would say, nothing negative really to say - it’s just not something to write home about.
I’m really not a fan of seafood, but when I ordered the pecan crusted salmon, it changed my life. :) The service was great, and efficient, I will definitely return in the near future.
