We have been dining here for quite some time. The restaurant has seen better days. Chairs need new upholstery. Place looks rough! Server seemed new. Crab cocktail was superb as was the Caesar Salad! Stuffed Flounder was too rich and overwrought. Does not have the panache it used to have.

I had not been in years, as I do not live in Atlanta - but it was as special as I remembered. Very enjoyable relaxed atmosphere, wide seafood variety on the menu, and the appetizers & entrees we ordered were excellent!

When I am back in Atlanta it is on my list!

Excellent experience on this first time visit. Wide ranging menu with an abundance of fresh seafood choices, exceptionally well prepared. Professional, super friendly service. Wonderful ambiance; the design touches and attention to detail is exceptional.

Just wasn't that special, food was OK. But I can cook fish just as well even buying it at the fish store there, which actually has pretty good prices. Or just go to YDFM or Buford markets and get fresh fish for a great price.

Chose this restaurant for our anniversary because it is my favorite. The food was delicious as always. Purchased the ultimate dining card in advanced for its value. Our server was outstanding with a great sense of humor. To top it off we were given a free dessert. Enjoyed our dinner immensely. We will be back for sure.

To start, the server whispered to one of the four guests asking who was having a birthday since it was noted on the reservation. Of course it was she having the birthday. Surprise blown. It was downhill more from there. Wrong food, fourth entrée never presented. When it was it was incorrect. Table was never bussed entrée dishes stacked at end of table when dessert was served. One dessert dish consisting of ice cream which was melted upon presentation. Drinks never refilled original waters at the table when coffee was served sweating from melted ice. So bad that manager had to take over the table the waiter never came back. This was after we complained and the waiter said the bus boy was the problem as he didn’t speak English. So inappropriate on so many levels. While it was kind of the manager to pay for our entire dinner which was over $300. It was hardly a birthday experience we wished for our friend’s 50th. First time and last time.

Great food, great service. Crowded on a Saturday night but our reservation was honored right on time. I think our server was Sarah she was amazing and graciously endured my husband silly dad jokes. Other staff served us efficiently and kept the water glasses full. Will definitely eat there again.

The food was amazing. If you like fresh sea food and cook to perfection then you should try the Atlanta Fish Market. The dining area was very clean, wait staff was very courteous and my party and I were greeted with a smile beginning with the hostess.

The food is very fresh and was delectable. Waitress couldn't remember the orders. The ambiance was okay but I wouldn't select this restaurant for a date because it wasn't intimate enough. Some of the items were very pricey i.e. 8.50 for a irish coffee is a bit much. It was so bitter I couldn't drink it. Other than that I would recommend.

I wouldn’t recommend this place for a date night. We were sat in the general seating (not the back area) and the ambiance was not as I expected it to be. The food was good, but it didn’t make up for the atmosphere. I wouldn’t go back.

Food was great and tasty. We ordered the seafood tower, broil stuffed lobster and Alaskan king crab legs. Our sever was Lily and she was pretty attentive. My wife had a rose wine and the glass was not thoroughly clean properly and Lily made sure she got a new wine glass without any hesitation. The bread pudding was to die for. Very decadent. This restaurant is a little pricy so we only go here for special occasions.

I had not been to the Fish Market in years and I won't wait that long again. The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection. Plenty of choices on the menu -- wonderful service. The hostess found us the most quiet table in the restaurant as one in our group has limited hearing. The restaurant is noisy but the table worked for us.

Outstanding food.

I was very disappointed in this BLG restaurant. I am a very regular and happy customer at Bistro Niko and Buckhead Dinner, and sometimes Chops. This was below par for an otherwise excellent group of restaurants. Food was so-so and service lacking. It was a Sunday night, but no excuse. The floor manager on duty looked bored and never checked on us or even seemed to look our way. This was not my first visit, but it had been a long time. I don't plan to go back.

Been to AFM many times over the years, and in the past few years each time we return the restaurant trends downward. Our most recent experience was overpriced ($40 for Lobster scampi that had 2-3 bites of lobster, mostly small scallops, shrimp, and stuffing and no sides). The oysters rockefeller was more bread crumbs than oysters. The service was sub par, with 15 minute waits between courses, over an hour and a half for a meal which should have taken no more than an hour as we had no drinks, salads, or dessert. The restaurant wasn't overly crowded, not sure why it took so long other than lots of staff chit chat going on.
We still enjoy several of the BL restaurants, but my wife and I decided that this was probably our last visit to AFM. Unfortunate, since 5 or so years ago it was one of our favorites.

The food was very good but there were a few issues with service and ambience. The hostess was not friendly, did not smile or respond to our conversational greeting. At the bar, the bartender did not acknowledge us at all and waited on another couple who arrived after us. A second bartender arrived and came up to us immediately and was very polite and accommodating. Once we were seated, the bench seating in our booth was sagging and we felt like kids sitting low at a table designed for taller diners. The light at our table was out. There was a piece of trash in one of our water glasses. The wine that arrived at the table was a different year than stated on the wine list - when asked, the waitress could not find a bottle of the correct year so we settled for the later year. The food took a rather long time compared to tables around us. One of our meals was supposed to be broiled and instead it was served fried - we did not mention it as we feared it would have disrupted our meal - the other dish would have been cold by the time the corrected food arrived. Our waitress was very friendly, fun, helpful and professional. I think we might return for the food, hopefully with a better overall service and facility experience.

I have always enjoyed the Fish Market but this last visit might have been my last. This was our start of our honeymoon and the the service was terrible. Our servers name was Lilly, the same as my dog, and I believe my dog would have paid better attention to us! The men’s restroom was nasty and the toilet had overflown and there was waste on the floor of the restroom. The food was good but the experience was AWFUL!!!! Many of he tables around us were complaining too!

The AFM is among the best restaurants is the Southeast. The quality of their seafood is extraordinary, and their dishes enhance rather than overwhelm the natural flavors and textures. The seafood gumbo perfectly balances the hearty smoke of New Orleans with the familiar clean flavor of the sea, a remarkable achievement. Main courses and sides are always interesting while allowing the center of the plate to show off its quality.

Their Bloody Mary makes a great introduction, and the New Orleans style bread pudding is a fine way to cap a special meal.

Their servers are knowledgeable and pleasant, but their seating personnel could smile now and then. Valet parking is reasonable and efficient.

It’s an expensive restaurant, so for many civilians it’s probably best reserved for a special occasion . For business, especially entertaining clients unfamiliar with Atlanta, it’s an always reliable choice.
